worst customer service, went to polace an online order took over an hour, then my gift card didn't work, I gave up and then tried just now, the gift card says zero balance.. where did the money go, I just spend another half hour and I am told I have to wait for an electronic gift card.. Once I use this card I will NEVER shop here again, WASTE OF TIME

I was just in the Jefferson City store, just looking for a lip liner and not one lip liner pencil was sharpened. No one would bother to walk across the store to help me an absolute mess. I will never go back. I will be buying my cosmetics at the department stores like I used to. Shame, shame shame on Ulta And I was in the beauty industry for 30 years.

I spent $98.00 on a product and it as not good. I went to return it and because I have a different bank card, due to fraud, I could not get a refund. I could only get a merchandise card good only at Ulta. Way to keep my money Ulta! The chick in the Ulta store was just rude. Not the person helping with the refund, but her childish looking manager. I’ll get some things at Ulta with this card but never shop there again. It isn’t like I need the money, it’s just horrible that I had no other choice but to take the gift card. Ulta has poor policies that can not be changed by employee discretion. And they employee childish people.

I advise anyone who shops at Ulta NEVER to apply or use their MasterCard. I closed my account and was given a ending balance which I paid. Then when I looked on my account, there was a magical "residual" interest charge, stated to me by customer service. I then asked what was the EXACT amount I would need to pay in order to stop occurring interest and she said, "I cannot answer that". Meaning that the company will continue to charge me interest upon interest every month. Completely unacceptable boarding on fraud in my opinion. Cancel your Ulta Mastercard now. Not worth it.

I stop ordering from them in October 2024 since I had issues with missing items and only thing they said was the weight was correct whrn it wasn't .I had to call ALOT and go to a store to get it fixed. So, May 2025 I decided to order again so far everything was fine. Then I spent more to get a 4 piece gift and guess what only one part came. And the same BS over weight was their response. I don't know what else to do I spend $70 and got one out 4 piece gift. I should of left them alone. I really thought things got better. They gave great stuff but, the customer service is horrible.

So disappointed with Ulta 😔 As a long-time platinum member I remember when Ulta offered value and reliability. A few days ago, I opened their email about a Cute D&G mini perfumes promo: purchase $70 online only for the Dolce perfumes. Click bait. Clicked on it, great, available, in my cart - or so I thought. Choose more than $70 in products and then the gift suddenly became unavailable. I called guest services & they were no help at all. Okay, so I will never trust online orders from them again. Sephora and many other companies are better for many reasons. This is not the first time Ulta has disappointed me. And others too according to the reviews I've briefly just read. There is something they can do -- they just don't care about their customers any more.

I’ve been a customer and reward member of Ulta Beauty well before Sephora came out (years, in fact), and I’ve never received one reward from Ulta the whole time… Sephora, on the other hand rewards really well and often. I’ll take my business there from now on.

Changed their return policy to 30 days & wouldn’t even do a store credit. I won’t be going back to ulta. I’ll just shop at target which has a 90 day policy.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I placed an online order, on their site at 9:03am for same day delivery ($6.95 deliver fee plus $5 tip for DoorDash) Once the order was confirmed I was told Door Dash would deliver between 5-7 pm, which was too late. I called immediately to cancel. I was told to send a text, which I did within 10 minutes of placing the order and was told "Sorry the order is on it's way". I was told it wasn't and I'd like to cancel or change it to same day in-store pick up because I needed it sooner than 8 - 10 hours. I was once again told I couldn't make any changes and I would have to wait for the order to arrive then return it. So I asked for a refund for the same day delivery fee because I was going to need to go to the store to buy it, then go back and return the delivered order once it arrived, which was COMPLETELY INCONVENIENT. I was told no. There is NO WAY the order was on it's way and NO WAY it couldn't be cancelled within 10 minutes of ordering.

I joined this company in September 2024, starting with a $15,000 investment. Over time, I consistently earned profits and was able to upgrade to the $25K package, and eventually the $50K. Everything seemed to be going well—until suddenly, withdrawals became extremely difficult. Despite their website stating that withdrawals would be processed within 3 days, I received no positive response from support, no matter how many times I reached out. It wasn’t until August 2025 that I finally recovered my funds—with the help of a triangulation expert. CHELSY DESMARAIS proved to be the tech experts I desperately needed. "I experienced poor customer service today. When I inquired about a specific facial product, the floor representative was unable to provide an answer and displayed a disrespectful demeanor, as if my question was trivial. This lack of professionalism was disappointing.

Worst customer service experience ever. I made an online purchase of 11 items & received a notice that all items shipped together. When the box arrived 2 items were missing. Ulta never let me know the items hadn't been shipped. I contacted Ulta customer service via text message. Got tossed around between agents & finally one said they would ship the items to me. I waited 10 days & still never received the items. I contacted Ulta customer service again, this time via phone, explained the situation to the agent & asked that the items be shipped overnight. She refused. I asked to speak with a supervisor. The agent placed me on hold & then hung up on me. I called back, requesting a supervisor again & again the agent hung up on me. After calling a 3rd time to request a supervisor, being placed on hold, & then hung up on again, I called back for the 4th and final time & told the agent to issue a refund. I also told the agent that i had been a loyal customer for over 10 years but because of this experience I would never purchase another thing from Ulta. She responded with "ok". No apology or acknowledgement. If I could give Ulta zero stars I would.

this river forest location is one of the WORST!!!!! andres had the biggest attitude. I don't care what your issue is; you need to do your job. He clearly only works for a cheap check. Gross!

I went to get a full highlight foil, platinum blonde, and I come out a dirty ash blonde this was at the San Marcos, California location. Three months ago prior to that I went to the Oceanside location and the same thing happened. It’s not the toner they’re not using the right developer or the bleach. I have been going to Ulta for many years. I am completely unsatisfied. I paid $225. That includes a tip and I am not happy. I work a full day to make that amount of money Amber who did my hair she was kind and sweet. She did do a lot of work, but she clearly did not get me. I brought pictures of how I’ve had my hair done in the past for the last 25 years. I’m actually taking this to corporate and I’m going to demand my money back and I’m gonna fight hard because I’m tired of getting screwed over by people that don’t know what they’re doing. I added a photo of how my hair is platinum blonde and I come home a dirty blonde.

My online purchase came with a free gift. After I place the order for delivery, I noticed the gift wasn’t included in the order anymore. I contacted Ulta and they said I needed to to roll something in the checkout to say I actually wanted the free gift. They refused to give it to me. They refused to let me come pick it up in the store. They said because I didn’t toggle something at checkout. I’m out of luck horrible horrible customer service I can buy my make up cheaper other places and I really didn’t want to order anything for delivery. I ordered it because there was a gift that I didn’t get I spent an hour of my workday on the phone with customer service only to be told too bad sorry for the inconvenience.

The customer service staff on the phone is useless. I have been a member since 2009. They linked my daughter and my email and phone numbers and are not capable of unlinking them. Very disappointed in their company. Have called multiple times and there are no supervisors. And there is no IT department. Shame on the CEO. And the staff in store can never help.

Happy with my hair at the New Bern NC Ulta but not the moldy walls where the wash station is! The walls are taped with what looks like packing tape. This is an immediate health danger. I have allergies and am highly allergic to mold. This is unacceptable for client's health. This needs to be repaired right away!

Terrible customer service! I took a defective item back to the store which I purchased on line for an even exchange. And they made me pay the tax even though I had already paid tax when I purchased it! I tried to call customer Service but they were no help
