Money has been taken out of my bank account , and your customer services man called Colin ( wouldn’t give his last name) had no idea how to help me , and wouldn’t put me through to either his supervisor or fraud department. I am appalled by the service you provide .

Miss leading salesman. Insisted on speaking to me when my career told them I was having a bad day. When I got to the door rep stated he was here to upgrade my Smart meter as I am on the British gas frist roll out from years ago. Fast talking got his foot in the door as I thought he was here on behalf of British gas to upgrade my meter. Started confusing me with a load of information while tapping through my meter stating the upgrade will give me a cheaper tariff, that I was a good customer and would I except an upgrade for cheaper energy plus no service charge. Before I know it the company phoning me asking fast questions with him prompting me to say yes or no to the questions as I'm hard of hearing, disabled and fully loaded to the eye balls on pain killers. Woke up this morning with a clear head land functions to see the Utilita booklet and realising what I had done or gotten myself into. Seven hours trying to get through to a person to cancel this as supposedly there is a fourteen day cooling off period yet written on this booklet there's a date for seven days time. Goodness knows what that's for!! Have even sent an email to try and cancel this. You can not get hold of anyone. So leaves me no choice but to contact British gas to block this transfer.

Actually I never deal with rubbish company like this, I been waiting for my refund money over 3 months, I called every 2 days waiting over 1h30 lies and lies saying u will get the money in 10 days, waste of time

Some of the worst customer experience I’ve had. On hold for a lifetime with the same automated message going around and around which suggests using their ‘community forum’ where Utilita customers sort out each others problems. Surely some of extortionate amount they charge could go to a service where we don’t have to sort each others issues out? Hours with the same message over and over, I’ve been cut off twice after waiting nearly an hour each time. I’d imagine that the people working in customer service for Utilita must get treated so badly by customers that did manage to get through out of sheer frustration. I’ve got a young daughter and partner at home cold every night and I can’t even get through!

18 Dec 2023 So I asked for a replacement in home… So I asked for a replacement in home smart display unit as my old one I had when I signed up with when going back along time now. Had accidentally been damaged.They sent me there new geo one. So plugged it in connected to Internet and it comes up not commissioned. Phoned up numerous times. They says it's not yet compatible with my main gas and electric meter then they Says they need to update it so its compatible on the DCC network grid. I've given up why send new second generation smart meter when you can't even connect to it. They then says don't know how long it will be just use the app. But the app does not always update. So whatever you do I repeat do not get a geo second generation smart meter as there still not sorted the connection issues with them.

Terrible company to deal with. They do not return POA documentation that they requested and fail to acknowledge or reply to complaints requesting their return. Avoid and save yourself the hassle there are other energy suppliers who care about their customers

i tryed to get a new in home Disply and not getting one ordered it like 3 times pass 3 mouths i am not getting anywhere with them i need one to see how much i have on a screen to keep i am on pay as you go with this company for over 5 years

bad customer service high prices suppose to be cheaper they charge more now for the 1st 2 kw then a standing charge our energy cost have trebled we have to top every day

Misleading salesman I had a guy call at my house today and tell me he was here to read the electric meter. I asked about the gas and he said they were not reading those at the moment because of Christmas which I thought was strange. I stupidly let him look at my electric meter which is just behind the door and it became obvious he was not reading it. He then asked who my current supplier was and I said you should have that info on your tablet. He said he didn’t as he was only reading the meter. When I told him my supplier he then started to go into a sales pitch. I stopped him and said I just realised he is Utilita, a supplier. He said yes. I said you have entered my home under false pretences and lied to me. He said I’m not selling anything. I got his name and have reported to Utilita as I feel I was being misled. If I was a little less switched on, and believe me I already feel stupid allowing him to get that far, he could have totally ripped me off. Utilita have still not responded so I will go to the ombudsman and maybe watchdog. A dodgy way to sign up new customers Utilita and this needs stopping right away.

Rubbish customer service ..took me almost 2 hours on call waiting and had to hang up after all the wait. Also waited for another hour on their chat line and still no response

A pointless chat service. I asked one simple question and then had to listen to nothing but a thousand questions which led to nowhere. They're honestly useless and shouldn't hold a job.

This company is a disgrace. We changed supplier on the 1st Dec 2023, we have spent all morning trying to get a refund of over £900. We had a final bill but we are now being told that we need to get our new supplier to send the readings even though they were on their final bill. We keep getting passed from different depts then get cut off. Please AVOID at all costs Still NOT got our refund

Having just set up my app after my daughter having it I found I was in debt on both gas znd elec after phoning wS told it wS power ups. I have never heard of this but they argued. Cut a long story short after 5 requests for full report of power ups I have rdcieved 3 statements. HVing gone through them I have 17 payments showing on my app that ate not on my statement. There are only 6 powerups showing when they reckon I have had 23.my app shows nothing for Mar Apr may and June but they are on the statement if you add them to what is on the app that's 48 payments but statement only shows 31. They are still telling me there is no problem.

I left Utilita 28/4/2022 a business account, tried to pay my last bill, when the bill came it ranged from me been owed £28 to me owing them £1200!! During my time with them I once received 28 bills in one day! Had the meter read 6 times in one week on two occasions twice in 2 days. I closed the business and they still won’t close the accounts and are still charging for electricity. I must have had at least 40 phone calls and each time assured it will be sorted….still not! Now received a letter saying it will cut the supply! A new business is in the unit now so this will only affect them. A truly TERRIBLE company!

Waste of time. Trying to set up direct debit to pay gas and electric for over 4 years without any luck. They're refusing to even sort it. No clue why. They're just so awful.

Utilita is rubbish as long as I am concerned. It doesn't cared about my interest for 3 whole years i had been with them. Utilita extorted money out of me. I way paying £100 for electricity that does not last up to a week. At a time i called and asked for a proof of address from them and there they made a silly mistake in spelling my name. I called and complained to them about it only for them to send me the same rubbish as before. Throughout the 3 years i was with Utilita was HELL!!! All they cared about was money and nothing more.
