Sick of utilita absolute joke of company that hires incompetent staff!!!! Literally spent 1hr on the phone as my electric was dying and no way to top up or accept EC and the whole time the advisor was lying to me saying that I was able to receive financial help while knowing the whole time that the financial department was closed… within the same week another incompetent staff member booked an appointment for an engineer to come out on the 4th April instead in get a call the day after saying they are on the way to my property??? Now I have spent 1hr30 trying to get In Contact with utilita in order to find out wth is going on?!!!!!!! If I could give minus I would, spoke to someone today named bee or some bullcrap who discriminated against my disability I’m moving immediately!!!!!

Useless, can't get my gas meter on and I phone them but they just say they can't help me with this, looks like me and the kids are in the cold tonight.

Very expensive. I pay £15 for a night and £15 for a day for my gas.i can't only work to pay for them. I will change with other company. I don't recommend them.

I am moving from a flat with utilita as my provider to another utilita property. I started to let them know weeks before. I either got passed from department to department or no answer. I move in one day and noone has got back to me! I've had to sign with another company today, other wise I'd have no gas or electricity. I'm disabled and classed as vulnerable, yet utilita did not care. I'm also losing what money I have on the meters too. Very angry and disappointed with utilita. You let me down badly. I've give this a zero if I could

Finally left this company after going through the ombudsman! Lied through their teeth had to record a conversation to prove things they completely denied to the ombudsman, bills were basically made up changed up and down by 100s of pounds each letter we received, everything they advertise is just absolute rubbish do NOT use this company ever!!

I wouldn't even recommend utilita to my enemy, bad customer service, staff seems to be forced to do the job. I wouldn't recommend utilita for anyone. A bad meter was brought to the apartment I rented and for months they couldn't do anything about. Called a million times and they would pretend to be busy while they intentionally ignore customers. I wish there's a zero rating. 👇

It would appear that as a company, you are totally inept at solving problems or dealing with requests. I have contacted Utilita by phone and email on several occasions to be told information I require will take 5 days to gather and send on to me. This never happens. Total disgrace. Never have I had to deal with such incompetence

So I moved into a property supplied by Utilitia. Its been over two months and I still have not received gas or electric cards. My meter is apparantly faulty but the engineer was cancelled without explanation. They want me to send documentation about the previous tenants debt! No chance. I'll take my chance with the app because it appears to work properly but first sign of anything else and I'll be gone.

Shocking customer service……avoid this company………only use as last resort. The customer service reps are incompetent, keep putting you on hold for ages, and then not resolving the issue. Ask to speak to a manager and they block you. This energy company has serious issues……I cannot believe they will be in business for long………avoid like the plague, they are the worst.

I moved to my small 1 bedroom flat in August 2020 and always paid my bills on time. Almost two years into this, it turns out that I owe them over £900. My bill has always been between £40 and £60 which seemed reasonable given the fact that my flat is small and electricity only; they told me every bill was instead over £100 which is not what the website said at the time of paying. They never told me I was behind with payments and I want to believe I wasn't. The bills are incorrect, messy, misleading. If I knew every bill was £100, I would have switched providers two years ago. I won't be paying this debt as it is outrageous. It has been a battle with their customer service and it is impossible to get this explained/sorted. If I could give less than a star, I would.

I wouldnt even give this company one star, however to write this review had too. Have spoken to three different members of staff, all who gave me a different response. Raised an official complaint on 23rd Feb and asked for a manager to call me, which I was assured would happen, it’s now end of 25th and heard nothing from Utilita. Would definitely give this company a wide berth. You can’t even get through to raise a further issue, on hold for 56 minutes. SHOCKING!!!

The prices are ridiculous me and my partner are both disabled and have really struggled recently and are on benefits and utilita charged us £2 maybe more just to top up our electric they then ask why we are only putting in a couple of pound a time well its so we dont get charged to top up and now me and my partner have to sit without gas for over a week we've got £2 left in the bank for electric too last over a week and I'm not the only one that is struggling with utilita I wouldn't recommend it to anyone every time we top up over £15 they take money and don't give us our emergency they'd rather leave disabled people sitting in the cold they're shocking I've never dealt with a company like them before it's a total disgrace

It is the worst energy company there is won't help anybody that is struggling unless you run of money on your meter and then they can help I will be switching providers when I move home

Customer service is shocking. Meter balance and app balance did not match up. After being on hold for a VERY LONG TIME, I got through to a woman that could barely speak English. Later went on to the so-called "Live chat" and nobody answered my question. Issue is still not resolved! I'll be switching provider...

This morning my gas meter was low so I just pressed yes for the emergency as I was running late for work, I can in from work to find I have no gas and I need a code to put into the meter, tried to call but was a recording of someone saying press this press that and to visit this website and this website, then to say they have tried there best to help me????????? Then said good bye WTF, so now I have no heating, thanks Utilita worst thing I ever done was choosing yous as a supplier.

350.00bill for one month I dont have economy 7 heaters I tried to explain they didn’t listen the guy practically called me an idiot he said I can see you had no usage yesterday and today your on full you put your heaters up full at night utter rubbish I said then he said it’s logic I had to terminate the call he was so rude they tell me I owe 350 round figure for one month I live in a 1 bed flat my Hob doesn’t work various things in the property I’m cancelling them shortly when I move I’d rather have no heating and hot water than have to deal with that wish I’d never gone with them

Emergency line are very stressful and bad skills. They had no clue about Data protection Law Act2000. I explained to them about I’m living with organisation house and can’t put my name on the system, because that’s not private house. One of them answered me with no respect at all, his name Michilan has European accent

Shameless liars, they are!! Not surprised by the horrible reviews. I give them zero star. On Saturday and Sunday, their App said it was down for maintenance. When I was able to login in finally yesterday afternoon, my gas usage had shot up to £11 plus for Saturday an £10 for Sunday!!! Mind you I don't have a gas cooker and I wasn't home the entire time. I was checking the app while at work. Upon return I confirmed I had not left anything running. Their system blocked my calls with various excuses one of which was that I wasn't in their records. As I a type my email has not responded to. Finally today, I got through to a live chat advisor who was busy gaslighting me that I might have used and did I have the heating on and such nonsense. He stalled for time so that I could give up ... claiming he was waiting for someone more knowledgeable to tell them how my usage shot up by 600% on Saturday and on Sunday. In the end he run out of excuses and they said I contact my landlord to see if he used it. Today it is normal usage and I am in. So basically they are saying my landlord let himself in while I was away and spent the gas on heating and hot water and welding and God knows what else ... Liars, liars liars. Very poor liars if you manage to get through to them that is. Avoid!!! It's a scam.

Awful company by far the worst I've experienced. Customer service non existent and on the rare occasion I have actually managed to speak with someone they have been unhelpful and rude avoid at all costs.
