I ordered the DuBose copper floor lamp with navy and gold shade via your web site, however the shade that I received was 450mm diameter with metal rims which is far to heavy and therefore the lamp would not stand up so I had to purchase a smaller shade at 350mm with plastic rims to be able to use the item. The base had minimal damage and the material covering was rolled back and at first we thought that was why it wouldn't stand upright.

Stunning light, but needs. To higher to be able to read comfortably, I enquired about an extra pole but they said there was none,

lights were good value but bought bulbs as prompted at the same time. but turned out really expensive compared to other sites. dont buy the bulbs. i have paid £5 each. just bought 10 off ebay for £8!!! feel ripped off.

The lights I ordered were delivered on time with no problem. Unfortunately the bulbs never arrived at all and I struggled to get a refund.

Not as I expected, more cream than white plus expected it to be plastic and have a fitting. Not very impressed but it’ll do for now.

Despatched wrong colour shade, was offered a refund but declined and kept shade sent. The legs of lamp were copper (coloured) not real copper and the screws which connected legs together did not fit properly and ended up super glueing them together. So all told not a happy experience.

The light is just ok for the money you pay however the one we received had a fault where you can’t fit one of the parts coming out of the cage as it was damaged we dont know if we can make it work yet. It is so frustrating always receiving defects. ‘Value’ shouldn’t mean it is faulty. Disappointing having the hassle of sorting something out again. Also no instructions. I know it is quite basic to sort out the packing was poor too.

The order arrived quickly and was as described however stars lost for poor customer service. My husband broke the glass lamp cover when trying to secure it with the screws. I rang the customer service line and spoke to someone who said that she would check if there was a spare lamp in stock and ring me back, this has never happened. I work full time in a busy job so dont have toime to keep chasing this so will just leave it but disappointed that my call was not followed up.

Absolutely love my new lamp however the lampshade arrived damaged (creased) but I needed to use it that day so didn’t return it. I have turned the damaged side of the shade to the wall. However, the courier needs to be more careful with packages!? Would have got 5 stars otherwise 😕

For the money, the Mayfair outdoor lantern looks nice enough and provides adequate light beside our front door. Before I bought it I phoned Valuelights to ask how the lamp worked... "Did it come on at dusk and go off at dawn or only light when the PIR sensor detects movement?" The gentleman I spoke to told me it was a dawn to dusk lamp. Wrong. It isn't on all the hours of darkness, although I haven't yet worked out what does turn it on as it seems to illuminate quite randomly - as well as when someone approaches it. I not going to send it back, although I might replace it wjth what I really wanted in due course.

Delighted with my order and the price and the speed of the delivery. My only problem was with the company who delivered the lamp. The full address was not put on the package and the driver called me up in work to ask what number I lived at. I was puzzled by this and assumed they were delivering to my home address, so I gave that number. Not so, they delivered to the road of my work address and just left the box on the doorstep of somebody's house. Fortunately the lady got in touch with the company and they sent me an email telling me where it had been delivered and I had to go and collect.

Good price for items compared to other online retailers, although my light was broken when received. It was a ceramic light and there wasn't enough packaging on top, and nothing on the box to indicate to the courier that it was a fragile item. They were quick to respond to my issue so hopefully there will be no problems with the replacement item..

I ordered a grey wooden standing lamp with shelves, the delivery was fast even though it was New Years but the product was broken when it arrived. I was able to salvage it with super glue but it’s not what you expect when buying new.
