Nicholas Bradley Nicholas Bradley Glenrothes, GB 9 Reviews 10 minutes ago Security checks on security checks... Ok order the 7th, speak with security team on 9th -> told everything is fine. Had to phone up today (14th) as no order arrived, to be told i have been declined for security purposes.. Ok so i ask to clarify they start putting more security checks on me and i answer them all except after asking for my date of birth for the 5th time, i get asked how old i am? I say hang on i always say the wrong thing im 27 but i always go to say 28. They pause and sarcastically say: "you have to think about it? Your being declined for security purposes." Because i cant in a split second do the mental arithmetic to calculate my age... Ridiculous. On top of this i had to contact you in order to find out my order was even cancelled!!! SHOCKING

Absolutely ridiculous for them to refuse after all the questions you had to answer

I provide the same text I have just sent to BBC Watchdog: I am reporting the diabolical state of customer service at very.co.uk In August 2013 a kettle I ordered was incorrectly delivered to my old address, despite email confirmation that I was to expect delivery at my current address. As a result, the kettle became 'lost in transit' and I received a refund. In September 2013, despite the refund being processed (again, have statement as evidence) the kettle was, once again, put on my account - £39 + £12 late payment fee. Since then I have made 4 phone calls to a premium rate number, endless emails (way over 10 now) and have written a formal letter of complaint (sent on 22nd October 2013). All of my attempts to resolve their error have been ignored or 'passed on' with no resolution. My account is now at £64 and rising every month, which is now affecting my credit rating. The reviews written on Trust Pilot and other independent review sites show that I am not alone in my experience. Please help!

Oh my gosh! My dad received some shocking service from Very and their offshore 'customer services' were terrible.

I ordered a laptop from them and they said it would be delivered 8 calendar days later. The night before it was due to be delivered they rang me to say it was out of stock and they had cancelled the order. When I rang them the following day they had no record of the order being cancelled and said they would ring back. They didn't. I rang them and they said "if we said we will call you back, we will", but they didn't. Its appalling that they didn't tell me it was out of stock earlier and didn't call me back.

Ordered items last october, was charged twice for delivery and called to get one removed. I was told by the advisor that I was calling a premium number and it would have been cheaper to pay for the 2 deliveries. I checked, it is not a premium number. Just tried to order again and was told my bank had not released funds and that I should contact them. I did so and they had released funds and gave me a ref. no. to prove it. Advisors were useless and I will never order from them again. All I wanted was to order items and pay for them directly but it seems that Very like you to open a credit account. My bank will give them the money but their bank won't accept it. Fine by me - they've just lost my business.
