“From the first contact to trip preparation and implementation as well as support during the trip, Viatu always acted very professionally. Our wishes and the given financial framework were taken into account. The hotels, the food, the activities - everything was excellent and highly recommended. The trip was planned that each place was like a step up from the previous one. Namibia is so diverse and gigantic and I feel that Viatu got the best out of a three week trip. Namibias landscape was amazing, so beauftiful. The contact guide responsible for us was very nice, polite and competent and helped us if something wasn't working or if we asked for more activities, he organized something for us. I would do this trip again and again and can recommend it to everyone. The trip was beyond our expectations and so far the best we did. Thank you so much. And can't wait to do another trip with viatu.”

“Viatu, what can I say...just wow. The whole holiday, the entire 10 days in South Africa were simply an incredible experience. Cap Region and Kruger National Park in a fantastic lodge. The country, the people, the culture, nature and the animals fascinated and caught us. South Africa is simply incredible. The Viatu team did an incredible job here and provided such detailed and passionate service from front to back. This is what I imagine a modern, sustainable and enthusiastic travel agency to be like. “Our Viatu experience was just amazing. Starting with the first discussions and the planning of our trip to Namibia. The Viatu team did a great job planning the trip according to our wishes and preferences. Unfortunately, we were not able to travel as planned in 2021 due to corona restrictions but this was not an issue for Viatu and they simply shifted the whole trip to 2022 without any additional costs for us. Any questions in advance of the trip have been answered immediately. The accommodations, activities, food and landscapes were just exceptional in Namibia. Further, I have never experienced that many friendly and helpful people on any other trip. The country is super safe and you never feel anxious. Any requests or questions during the trip have been answered immediately by Alessandro which made the trip super comfortable. They have done everything possible to make our trip the best it can be. I can only recommend booking an African experience with Viatu, just amazing! :)”

“Thank you so much for the beautiful travel experience Viatu Team! We had such a wonderful trip and it definitely won't be the last. The booking was simple and well thought through - we didn't have to take care of anything, lovely when the holiday basically already starts with the booking! Our trip was planned perfectly and the routes were ideal, covering all the places we wanted to see along the Garden Route (although there is so much left to discover, so I'm sure it won't be the last time). Everything was in place and worked out the way we had planned :) A huge thank you also goes to Benoit, who assisted us throughout our travels, we really appreciated that he was always just a phone call away. We had such a great time and will definitely book with Viatu again in the future, thanks for everything guys!”

“We did the Viatu 12-day self drive through Nambia, from Windhoek to Etosha, Erongo Mountains, Swakopmund and Sossusvlei and back to Windhoek. The choice of accommodation given was fantastic and each travel partner was excellent. The transfer from the airport to get our car, as well as back at the end, was super easy - we did not struggle once during our trip and that was also what made it memorable [besides for the obviously beautiful landscape and country]. Coming from South Africa, we also found that using Viatu was not more expensive at all and simplified our whole booking process [for someone like me who works all the time and couldn't plan a whole trip alone].”

“We booked our 3.5-week honeymoon with Viatu and it was simply wonderful! We had the most amazing time in South Africa and will book again holidays with Viatu!! From the start of the planning, the team helped us choose a perfect route with enough time to explore the places and they made a huge effort to book amazing hotels. Viatu also provided us a micropage with all the important things to know about our trip and also about the destination itself. This was very helpful to keep the overview of all the places to visit. “We loved using the Viatu Trip Builder to design our holidays in South Africa. It was super easy and transparent. Our holidays were great and the few times we needed support our consultant Benoit was very quick and helpful. Upon our return from South Africa we received a carbon offset certificate which was very cool. Without any additional costs, they have offset our whole trip with a local project that supports the creation of boreholes in the region.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Viatu from start to finish. Our consultant Benoit took great care of us and even when our flight was delayed he proactively informed our first hotel and made sure everything went smoothly. The two hotels recommended by Benoit were absolute gems. First we stayed at the pineapple house - a very bespoke and friendly boutique hotel in the heart of Sea Point. It was perfectly situated and walking distance from the promenade, the waterfront and the food markets we enjoyed so much. In terms of sustainability, we were really positively surprised by how much attention was paid to this aspect. The hotel was using glass bottles and where possible made sure with gentle nudges to reduce our own footprint. In the Winelands, we stayed at the wonderful Majeka House. Again, Benoit from Viatu and the team at Majeka House worked their magic to make us feel especially welcome. Complimentary bubbles were served and the staff made sure we and our friends got the best rooms by the pool. We absolutely loved our holidays with Viatu and can't recommend them enough.”

“Ich hatte das große Glück durch eine liebe Freundin auf Viatu aufmerksam zu werden. Mir ist das Thema Nachhaltigkeit nicht nur im Alltag sondern auch bei meinen Reisen sehr wichtig sodass es mir eine Freude war, in Viatu einen Gleichgesinnten zu finden. Da meine Freundin und ich keine genauen Vorstellungen unserer Reiseroute hatten, waren wir über die Vorschläge unserer Ansprechpartner Alfredo und Alessandro sehr dankbar. Sie erkannten mit viel Erfahrung und einem guten Gespür wo unsere Interessen lagen und setzten diese mit ganz viel persönlichem Engagement in eine perfekte Reiseplanung um, meinen ganz lieben Dank dafür. In Kapstadt hatten wir genügend Zeit, die interessante Architektur zu entdecken und die fantastische Lage der Stadt zwischen Bergen und Meer zu genießen. Dank der Auswahl des zentral gelegenen Hotels mit Blick auf den Tafelberg und der vielen hilfreichen Tipps des Viatu Teams zu Locations, Restaurants und Ausflügen konnten wir unseren Aufenthalt optimal nutzen. Der Transfer von Kapstadt nach Port Elizabeth und weiter zum Amakhala Game Reserve war tadellos organisiert, sogar eine Gruppe Giraffen begrüßte uns auf dem Weg zur Bukela Game Lodge. Die Lodge fügt sich mit ihrem naturbelassenen Baustil dezent in die Umgebung ein und vermittelt eine angenehme persönliche Atmosphäre. Dank eines Rundum Sorglos Pakets konnten wir die atemberaubende Tierwelt in vollen Zügen genießen. Mit den Winelands rund um Stellenbosch durften wir eine weitere wunderschöne Region kennenlernen. Ausgangspunkt hier war ein kleines familiär geführtes Hotel, the Log Cabin, inmitten von Weinreben und einer grandiosen Berglandschaft. Mein schönster Ausflug hier: die Wanderung zum Mont Rochelle und Erholung in Franschhoek (natürlich auch wieder ein toller Tipp vom Viatu Team). Zum krönenden Abschluss führte uns die Reise an die Whale Coast. Zwischen einer wunderschönen Lagune und dem Meer, umrahmt von einer grandiosen Bergkulisse, liegt die Mosaic Lagoon Lodge, eine Lodge der absoluten Extraklasse. Die versteckte Lage inmitten eines alten Baumbestandes sowie die natürliche, harmonische Bauweise der Hütten mit ihren geschmackvollen Ausstattungen machen diese Unterkunft zu etwas Besonderem. Doch erst der hervorragende Service, die ausgezeichnete Küche und sehr viel persönliches Engagement der Mitarbeiter machen einen Aufenthalt hier zum absoluten Erlebnis. Ich hätte nie erwartet, in unserer kurzen Reisezeit einen so umfangreichen Blick auf Südafrikas Fauna und Flora sowie Land und Leute zu erhalten. Das wäre ohne Eure detaillierte Planung und professionelle Organisation nicht möglich gewesen - meinen herzlichen Dank dafür an Alfredo und Alessandro sowie das ganze Team - es wird ganz sicher nicht unsere letzte Reise mit Euch gewesen sein.”

“Booking with Viatu was a breeze. We used one of the trip templates that was on their website and we customised it to our liking. For the check out we had a few questions. Our travel consultant Alessandro looked after us every step of the way. He even explained everything to me in Spanish which was very helpful as Africa can be complex. We were a bit concerned about the cancellation policies during the Omicron wave - especially since my friend and I arrived in South Africa from two different countries. That, however, was never an issue. The whole booking was flexible including hotels, car rental, safari lodge and our activities. Also, the whole digital travel itinerary turned out to be amazing. We didn't have any issues at all. Alessandro and his team recommended wonderful lodges and restaurants along the way. We had many highlights but we particularly enjoyed the Mosaic Lagoon Lodge in Stanford near Hermanus. The staff was so lovely, the location incredible and the food to die for. The pineapple house in Cape Town, Seapoint was also a wonderful recommendation. The staff is so welcoming. Their design is refreshing and they make a huge effort to be sustainable in all aspects. We absolutely loved our trip and can't wait for the next one! Thank you, Alessandro & Team Viatu.”
