“We loved our trip and both saw and experienced more than we expected. None of our group had been in Namibia before, but everything from accommodation to serice was beyond expectations. Viatu had read our group well and the highlight was our three night hike, as they told us it would! We had a great experience as a family of four now adults. Thanks Viatu for putting together a great trip”

“We were put in touch with Viatu by the website We Design Trips. We had a very nice trip in South Africa on the Garden Route. The trip was planned flawlessly. Everything worked out great. From picking up the rental car to checking in at the hotels and the planned travel activities. The payment and planning in advance also went completely smoothly. If there were any questions or uncertainties, there was always a contact person who tried to clarify them immediately. We really only have good things to say about the agency and would definitely recommend it to others.”

“Es hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Jedes Hotel war informiert und alle Unternehmungen haben wie geplant stattgefunden. Wir haben weit mehr Tiere gesehen als wir erwartet hatten und sind daher sehr glücklich. Lediglich den Caprivi Streifen hatten wir uns anders vorgestellt. Da es keine Zäune gibt und die Tiere die Ländergrenzen überschreiten können, hatten wir hier mit mehr Tieren "unterwegs" gerechnet. Aber ansonsten alles bestens.”

Vielen Dank für deine nette Bewertung Jasmin! Es freut uns zu hören, dass ihr eure Reise genossen habt. Da besonders der Caprivi Strip in der Vergangenheit leider unter starker Wilderei gelitten hat und die Tiere durch die fehlenden Zäune ständig auf Wanderschaft sind, ist die Chance diese zu sehen geringer als in anderen Teilen Namibias. Die gute Nachricht ist, dass sich der Wildtierbestand langsam aber stetig erholt und ein Besuch in diesem Gebiet eine fantastische Möglichkeit ist weniger erforschte Gebiete Namibias zu erkunden und einen wertvollen Beitrag zur Unterstützung der Region zu leisten. “Dear Viatu Team We'd like to thank you for your amazing work! Our time in Namibia was truly amazing and we are super happy with the planned route and activities. Apart from the incident at Kifaru Luxury Tended Bush camp, everything went smooth and all lodges and camps were very lovely and according to our taste. A special thanks goes to Taryn Langley, for her support at Kifaru Luxury Tented Bush Camp! What a prompt and excellent service! However, we'd like to give you some more detailed and personal feedback. Next time we would skip 'Tambuti Lodge' in Rundu and drive a few hours more to reach Divundu directly. Especially since the roads up north are tarred and easy to drive and the accommodation was not as nice as the others (i.e. holes in the mosquito net, construction work right next to the lodges). The only thing we would advise against was our car. Although the Toyota Corolla Hybrid was basically brand new, it was not suitable for long-distance traveling on gravel roads. The wheels were way too small and therefore we lost a lot of time on the roads! We recommend that you let your customers know, that there is this trade-off to this vehicle. For the drive to Kifaru Luxury camp i.e., it took us 2.5 hours for only 24 km. Our highlights on the other hand were the 'Elegant Desert Lodge' and the 'Onguma Bush camp'. The accommodation, furniture and scenery are unique and so very beautiful! Well done :)”

“In short, the organization of the trip was beyond praise. Of course, objectivity requires naming some of the shortcomings, but in this case I could not find any. The employee named Simone, who dealt with me, took into account all my wishes, apparently due to her great experience and professional skills not only expressed explicitly, but even implied. All my questions were answered quickly and accurately. The trip itself went perfectly smoothly, for all the time there was not a single reason to contact the employees for help. Evaluating my experience of dealing with the company as a whole, I consider the result exceeded my expectations and I'd like to express my gratitude to all who participated in the preparation of my trip and, first of all, Simone.”

“Große Weiterempfehlung! Ich war mit meiner Family 2 Wochen in Namibia. Einfach nur WOW. Top organisiert und jeder Tag war aufs Neue ein Highlight. Auch mit 1 jährigem Kind kein Problem. “Viatu created an unforgettable holiday for us in Namibia. Everything was taken care of: a great rental car, excellent lodges, breathtaking locations and excellent food. The dunes, safari and the fantastic lodges were incredible. We enjoyed the trip driving ourselves for 2 weeks with our family. Our personal highlight were the every day sunsets and the elephant safari in Camp Kipwe. We will definitely come back to Namibia again!”

“We heard about Viatu through a family member and have to say at first we were a bit skeptical, but the service was very professional. They were able to meet all our requests, answer a million questions, were mostly very responsive and helped us put together an amazing honeymoon in Tanzania and Zanzibar. The Safari was by far one of the best experiences we had ever had. 5 stars from the moment we landed in Arusha to the moment we left for Zanzibar - the food, the people, the camps (Oliver's Camp, the Highlands and Dunia Camp), the service, the singing - honestly we have no words! It was awesome. Even in Zanzibar when we weren't too happy with our beach hotel (we had chosen ourselves) the Viatu team helped us to quickly change our arrangements and get a refund. We highly recommend Viatu and their partner Asilia - hands down one of the best trips ever! Thanks!”

“In short: Our trip was absolutely terrific. Alexeja provided us with every information needed and arranged the short time we had in the best possible way I could imagine. She considered all of our wishes and needs, especially concerning that I was a First-Timer, and all we had to do was to enjoy. The accomodations were beautiful and the balance between adventure and relaxation on point. I especially loved her recommemdation to visit the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehab Centre, which gave us the possibility to dive deeper into the South African Wild and to educate ourselves. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful country and will absolutely come back soon.”

“After a wonderful and rather last-minute trip to Cape Town, I decided to book my second Viatu trip to South Africa. This time around we only had one week to start and finish in Johannesburg and explored Kruger National Park. I never expected to see and experience this much in just a week and yet have so much time to wind down and relax! The surprisingly green Blyde River Canyon was beautiful from above and below on the water. On self-drive safaris (with the best tips from the Viatu blog), open vehicle game drives and a life-changing bush walk we got to see 4 out of the big5 (unfortunately no rhino), endangered wild dogs and cheetah! Elephants came to join our dinner at Baluleni Lodge every night and I can't wait to go back for my next wild escape!”

“We travelled for the second time with Viatu. This time around we visited the Cape of Good Hope and did an extensive wine tour visiting sustainable wine farms. The accommodations recommended to us were hidden gems. We couldn't have found them on our own. We loved the down-to-earth vibe. We will be back for more soon.”
