“Prenotazione numero G47204499
“They have fraudulent car rental companies in their portfolio. They don't care about that. We opened a ticket but VIPcars closed it without any response.
BEWARE !!!”
“this is not an honest business. i rented a car through them, paid the full amount for the rental, then the actual rental company charged me a different higher amount (from what VIP Cars collected) and then VIP Cars are refusing to investigate the issue.”
“Deposit not returned ! Company doesn’t take care of it’s customers , Rick Wilson is on the case now, friendly and knowledgeable tries to provide maximum customer service but very disappointed that 500£ lost as supplier simply doesn’t answer, of course blaming VIPCars as this shouldn’t happen.”
“Awful experience at Palma airport. Arrived to collect our car only to be told that a credit card was required for a deposit for this particular class of car (7 seater)- they would not accept debit card, BACS, nor any other form of payment offered. We were told that it is treated it as a 'no-show' so I lost the insurance and the deposit as they refused to refund & my family left looking for another car. The next two car hire companies along from them accepted debit card payment so we were able to get our rental. VIPCars - I don't care if you write credit cards in your small print, sort out your payments and improve on your Customer serve by offering refunds rather than keeping the money! Credits cards are not used by many people these days. There was also another large group we saw with exactly the same issue.”
“I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. There are hidden costs that are not disclosed upfront, which I believe is a complete rip-off. My rental car had to be changed three times. All in all, I would never use this service again. Total scam!”
“AVOID – THEY WILL BASICALLY STEAL YOUR MONEY
I made the mistake of using this company to make a europcar booking, for pickup at Vancouver airport. I was refused the car because I did not have my own credit card on me with which to pay a $500 deposit.. I offered a debit card – not accepted. My wife offered her credit card – not accepted. VIP cars, and europcar, referred me to a section of europcar’s conditions which says the named driver’s credit card should be used for the deposit. However, there is definite ambiguity in the wording – for example it says “in the event of not having a credit card the hirer might” – that's might, but not will – “have the booking refused.” It also says that if you don’t have your own credit card your booking may “be subject to additional fees” thereby implying that the booking could still go ahead. I was offered no such option. I was told at one point by the woman at the desk that their “system couldn’t handle debit cards”. Seriously? Or, um, a lie? What I haven’t said is that, of course, they took all my money anyway. I’ve been trying to get a refund ever since and of course nobody has any answers to my many questions. It cost me £350 and huge amount of stress to get another car, that afternoon, to enable us to take our son and his girlfriend on a roadtrip. For her birthday.
Europcar have been utterly useless, unsympathetic and non-responsive. I have since read online reviews of them which describe experiences far worse than mine. They obviously don’t care. Nor do VIP cars. The amount I’m trying to recover is relatively small but sometimes in life you feel you’ve just had it with these unaccountable, borderline scammers. As are VIP cars and europcar.”
“Every single element of the highly-questionable and inconsistent customer feedback regarding a booking was proven to be entirely incorrect at the rental desk.
The confirmation voucher was rejected after a name change. The new named driver was finally accepted after 30 minutes of arguing with a rental desk manager, but they had to use a credit card - despite all the VIP emails confiding it wasn't necessary - meaning we had to again change the name driver at the rental desk to our elderly mother of a 7 seater vehicle. The security deposit was double what VIP stated on the voucher.
Trying to contact VIP Cars was entirely redundant either by telephone or the non-existent live chat, making the supposed “24/7 excellent customer support” as redundant as booking with them in the first place.
with their
This was all foreseen to happen through all the consistent and wildly contradictory messages from the "Customer Support Specialists" and it did. Even Enterprise themselves berated VIP Cars and their practices saying "they are a nightmare".
DO NOT waste your time and money giving commissions to incompetents. Read the reviews. Go direct to the vendor and save yourself the hassle and stress. Or use a reputable company with customer support standards.
An absolute car crash of a company.”
“Terrible customer service. Received a car through VIPcars with a broken windscreen to be told that there was no other cars available, asked for solutions to this and was told there was no other options. Every time I tried to raise the complaint them palmed it off and said to contact the 'supplier', who also wanted to do nothing for me.
Since dropping the car back I have been charged extra on my credit card to which the 'supplier' and VIP cars cannot tell me what I have been charged extra for.
Total shambles of a company and I cannot recommend enough that you avoid them.”
“This company is a scam. They claimes they bookes a car for me but in the ens the rental company did not at all agree with their terms so i had to book directly. Customer service is a joke, fake names and they don't do anything”
“Garbage. Took my card for the booking and insurance, then rejected it at the counter during pick up. Only to accept it again for a booking that cost double. They just lock you in, and force you to take whatever they want to sell you because you are stranded. Would have received a much better deal just walking in. Hate this company and these tactics.”
“Zero support against scammer service provider
I rented two cars in Romania through vipcars, with company finalrentals listed as the service provider on the rental agreement. Unfortunately, I've encountered significant issues with this transaction.
Finalrentals has failed to return my rental deposit, effectively scamming me. When I reached out to vipcars for assistance, their support has been inadequate. Their standard response to my inquiries is that they're "waiting for the service provider's response." When pressed about what actions they'll take if the supplier continues to ignore them, they simply repeat the same unhelpful statement.
This situation has reached a frustrating dead end. It's particularly disappointing as I've used vipcars's services before without issue. This experience has severely damaged my trust in both companies and their ability to resolve customer problems effectively.
I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when dealing with these companies and to thoroughly research alternative car rental options”
“This is the second time that VIP Car makes me wait a long time, then let me know that the car provider doesn't have a car! VIPcar is the only thing that does so. It works perfectly with others! Too bad! But I realise it.”
“My booking was canceled. With an excuse of no show. I arrived in the place of booking in Florence and was given very dodgy excuse of late show. Warning for all. These guys can be cheeky.”
“They scammed me, they ask me for a deposit when I did my car reservation but when I went to the airport, there was not a deposit paid. Plus they information given by them was not accurate.”
“Used VIPCars a few time usually no issues. The first time I really need them to sort an issue with their supplier and they have not been able to help me at all. Hired a car through them with Flexways in Bucharest and the supplier withdrew €1900 for the booking deposit. It was supposed to be a hold, but it was a withdrawal. It was supposed to be returned to me by now, but instead the car supplier has stopped responding. They are not claiming I did any damage. They are just not returning the deposit and saying they will shortly. Other than saying they shouldn’t be doing this, VIPCars have not done anything to sort this out. Book direct with a reputable car company.”
