Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.

Indian Curry Club 3 month recipe kit subscription. Very disappointed with the first kit. Made the Rogan Josh and the Kachumber salad but both tasted unpleasant and uncurry like and had to be thrown out. Hope the next two kits are better. The sample tagine spices that came with the kit produced a very acceptable meal.

This was my best friends 30th birthday surprise... we arrived was seated took 15 minutes for someone to come and even say hello, they then come over offer a drink they then bring our drinks, a man comes over with our afternoon tea and left us to it without letting us know what we had, the sandwiches were stale and had more butter than anything else the lemon cake was stale, there was a dead fly in the middle of a scone, they said they could get us more cake which was stale and dry like before, I was very disappointed and wouldn’t go back to this restaurant

Very poor and basic room, looked nothing like the photos. We paid a lot of money and could have got somewhere much nice for a cheaper price on another site.

Spa facilities very good, however the hotel, the staff and the cleanliness was very poor, dirty carpets and furnishings, holes in plasterwork, lounge ceiling hanging down due to leak, breakfast buffet was non-existent, when we asked staff to replenish the only thing that was replenished was the orange juice and even then no glasses ! , the bedrooms were not made up and towels replaced until 4pm after the first nights stay, cobwebs on staircase. a very disappointing stay that cost £750! disgusted

Cheaper to book direct. Virgin website is complicated. They hope you give up and the vouchers expire

The idea is a great one, however it makes me a little sad to think my very old Mother spent £99 of her hard earned cash to buy me and my Girlfriend a Virgin Couples Voucher which when redeemed (A Helicopter Flight) we noticed was only £70 on the Helicopter Companies OWN website without any discounts and with a Groupon voucher it was only £65. Book direct or loose 30% of your cash the moment your loved one books!

The experience I attended was horrendous. When I reported the issues to Virgin all they could do was quote small print and terms and conditions. Their profits are clearly more important than providing adequate customer service. I would never use them again.

very disappointed ordered a gift experience for a birthday present paid for a Saturday delivery waited in all day and it never arrived phoned customer service to track the parcel and was told it was never sent out by this time it was too late to get another present

We purchased the Game of thrones southern tour and was incredibly disappointed and upset with the whole experience. Our day started by being picked up by our driver outside visit Belfast. He immediately began to tell us that the tour was nearly cancelled due to the weather, however we were going to do the tour but it would be a limited one. There was 6 of us in our group altogether there was 10 people on the tour. Our first stop was inch abbey, which was a beautiful site, he basically took us to the site, said this is were Rob Starks camp was filmed and then said have a look around, didn’t show us one picture from the actual filming or anything similar and just stood talking to one of the couples he had befriended on the tour. The driver seemed to from the off be providing a personal tour to just 2 of the group, not once did he show as any scene’s from the film that were of relevance to the site’s we visited and explain anything about how it was done. Whilst here we bumped into another touring company gameofthronestours.com I believe, who were kitted out in stark like capes and holding swords, where as our driver was dressed in his red hop on hop off fleece and couldn’t even give us a decent explanation. After visiting here he then took us up to the grave of st Patrick, yes that right the grave of st Patrick. Don’t get me wrong the church and piece of history were lovely, however I had paid for 6 of us to go on a game of thrones locations tour. Whilst here he said we wouldn’t be visiting Tollymore forest park as he was worried about the weather. After pretty much all of the group said they would like to try, he then agreed to go, which I am glad he did as this was the most stunning and Picturesque place we visited, and the roads were absolutely fine! The park itself was beautiful and has many gorgeous and iconic places, however where we stopped for our guide to tell us about the site where the dire wolves were found, being quite a big fa and having watched the tour via YouTube I can categorically tell you it was NOT the place he stopped to show us. This was the first bridge on the way down to walk through the forest, the location was in fact the other side of the crossing stones we know this as we clearly see the other tour company showing their group whilst we crossed the crossing. The fact he had no idea where the sites were, were for us pretty shocking. We then headed for lunch after this and to a shop that sold merchandise for game of thrones. As we pulled up at the shop I can honestly say I was shocked as were everyone on the minibus. It was like a 2nd hand shop fall of old tatt, paintings and stuff found on the streets, with the odd bit of art and Game of thrones pictures. There was no official merchandise at all. I overheard the owner telling him there hadn’t been anyone from the tours had been there for over 6 weeks. Another thing he kept saying was oh normally this is open or this is there or you usually do this, it seemed we were having a rather unfortunate day and trip. Moving on to Winterfell or castle ward, we arrived just after the other tour company, and as we went into the main courtyard, the other tour company were giving a talk and holding up picture cards to show how it was made using CGI etc.. our tour guide asked us if we wanted to listen in saving him having to do it, which we said no we were happy to wait, he literally did not tell us anything, said have a look inside the tower where they had some photo’s etc and then said he was going to take us for a walk around the grounds if we fancied it, by this time we were rather annoyed and frustrated, not least by his constant smoking as we walked around also. He then said lets meet back at 3:45 and took the couple he had befriended on a private tour and just left us there. He got back at around 3:55 to which we walked back to the bus, we were by this point completely exasperated by the whole day he also said I don’t think you look up for the rest of the tour laughed and took us back. We are not alone, the other couple on the tour were also incredibly disappointed in our tour, we spent as a company as part of our Christmas party more than £1,400 on the tour and travel and I have never been more disappointed in my life at such a situation, especially for such a reputable company such as Virgin who are effectively providing the tour to their customers. I will not be ever purchasing from you again after this experience and will also be discouraging others to do so, given our terrible experience.

I had a whisky blending voucher that had very few days/places that I could attend. (I live in Manchester and there were only two Thursday evenings over 3 months set aside at the time I looked). As a result, I delayed booking a date and then the voucher expired before I realised. If you're thinking about taking a friend on a whisky tasting/blending experience, book one directly. Don't mess about with vouchers that can expire.

Managed to book the first part with no issues - however I now cannot book the second part. This has made what should have been an enjoyable experience one of tedium and frustration

The service and the place. You need to remove your name from advertising at this restaurant. In fact someone needs to go in and train the staff on how to deal with customers. It’s the worst experience you could sell. I’m fact not an experience at all. It ruined our day! None of the staff care about their customers!!

The boat Trip began really well, until the driver drove the speed boat head first into a 9ft metal structure in the middle of the Thames. A number of passengers were injured and all on board were shaken up by the crash, however the driver nor the other crew member came to the passenger area to explain what had happened or to ask if everybody was okay. We then docked the boat at a nearby pier and had to give statements to the police and wait around for the police to carry out their investigation. Although we understand this was necessary, we were severely delayed as a result and were unable to carry out many of the plans we had made for the afternoon.

The experince was fully booked for my area for the next 4 months with the only area with area available 200 miles away. No refund offered terrible service!!

Hopeless circuit no way anyone can get the feel of these cars , it was pretty similar to going round a roundabout ive now drove , a ferrari ,lambo and an audi r8 and for me on that experience they were rubbish i had more fun driving home

Bought a great escape game+cocktail+pizza for 4 people for £135 on virgin experiences. Turns out you can book it direct for £67.99!!!!! NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Rang Virgin they were not interested,said it was up to the buyers and they agree on a fair price. Not fair at all. I will not use this site again. Save your money and buy direct 😡

Unprofessional, unorganised & no customer service from the staff on sight. I couldn't drive the car that had been pre-booked and there wasn't even anywhere to shelter from the weather. Went home half way through and didn't bother with the rest of the experience. Would not recommend!
