Didn't get to take the clay pigeon shoot day as so ridiculously impossible to book when I had time to do it. I don't suppose I should have been surprised as I had a similar experience booking a track day that I ended up having to travel to the other side of the county to take. Never again, £150 out of pocket, inexcusable!

Very poor quality of food at a Champagne afternoon tea at Farrington Lodge, Preston. Not worth the money that will have been spent for this Virgin Experience. Very disappointing. Definitely not to be recommend!!!!!

Virgin website is absolutely useless when trying to activate voucher to use it, after attempting many times I eventually rang Liverpool fc and they sorted everything for me they were so polite, kind, courteous and helpful without them I would not have been able to use the voucher I purchased I will never use this service again and will recommend that any of my family and friends do not use this either

Due to incompetent administration the gift voucher did not indicate that booking date could not be accommodated after a particular date that was not indicated on the gift voucher and was only known when the voucher was activated which by then was to late and the gift voucher had to be cancelled.with some difficulty. The Buckingham Palace tour and Fortnum and Mason Diamond Wedding Champagne Tea was rearranged with a more user friendly and helpful supplier. .

My daughter bought a helicopter flight for my husband in November 2016, as he didn't want to go alone he bought me one total cost over £300. The only local flight that interested us was over York. When we tried to book with Adventure 001 there were only 2 flights in the whole of 2016, May and August bank holiday Monday. We booked the one in May, this was cancelled on the day due to bad weather but we were assured there would be lots of other opportunities. There was still only the one in August so we booked that. This flight was cancelled for some unknown reason even though the weather was fine. The only other day this year is from a different airfield in October on a day we cannot make due to a prior engagement so we asked Virgin to transfer the vouchers to a hotel stay. They have refused until we have had 3 cancelled flights. As we now have to wait until next April for the next available flight this means they have had our money for 18 months for nothing. Terrible customer service from Virgin and Adventure001. My advice is to go elsewhere.

£349 + £70.00 upgrade for a better choice of cars, which I booked to do at Brands Hatch Race Circuit was cancelled few weeks before it took place, as the third party company went bankrupt. Awful customer service, couldn't get through and when I did, only wanted to offer a lesser value package at a different location. Unhelpful to deal with, made it seem to be my fault so has left a bitter taste. The ease of booking is the only plus but when it all went wrong a nightmare to rectify. Avoid, Avoid

A disaster. I thought I'd booked for the Saturday evening, 29 July. I made the booking on the evening of Thursday 27 July. I was out all day Friday 28 July and started feeling ill that day. I felt very ill on Saturday 29 July and went to my emails to see if could cancel. I had received an email to say my booking was cancelled, apparently because some information was missing, so I thought I did not have to do anything. When I rang the restaurant, they said my booking was cancelled because of a no show, because I had booked for lunchtime on Saturday 29 July and they had claimed the voucher. I will never use Virgin Experience again. This is not he first bad experience I've had.

We had a death in the family two days before we were to depart to MOTO GP. Had rang on the friday prior to say the relative (sister) was ill and had only been given days to live. Girl on other end of phone was adamant no refund, no cancellation. Asked that these were unforeseeable circumstance. Still reply policy is no refund no cancellation. At the end of phone call her reply was have a nice day. During the phonecall I was finding it very difficult to speak as I was crying. I feel you staff need to be taught a bit of customer ettique.

Smart School of Cookery. Attended what was meant to be a gourmet cooking day. This turned out to be anything but gourmet. Over cooked scallops, gravy made with stock granules. Standard very poor. Would not recommend

My son got a voucher for Christmas, when activated the event had passed, so had to attempt exchange. Didn't realise that the voucher would expire so soon. Managed to find an alternative that was 5 days after the expiry date but was told still needed to pay extension fee of £20 and extra £10 for the experience. When I checked on the actual providers site driveme.co.uk the same experience is £50 cheaper. This company are a joke, customer service appalling. Avoid.

We could never get a date available for the experience we had been kindly bought as a gift; they were few and far between in our area. We had to swap the experience for a meal out for two and we made it into our 'honeymoon meal' as we were unable to afford one; a week after our wedding we arrived at the booked venue to be told that Central Reservations had not booked the table or us at the venue, having traveled all the way to get there it was very upsetting. It continued to get worse from this point!

Hot Air Balloon - Potential Con; After 2 cancellations of the hot air balloon ride for 'expected thunderstorms', when the weather, both times turned out to be clear and sunny, I checked out the reviews to see if anyone else has had the same issue.. it turns out that every balloon related review is 1 star based feedback about how much of a con it is. I couldn't agree more either.. save your money! :) Pete

How Richard Branson gets rich.... I get a Virgin Balloon Flight for two worth a lot of money. After nine cancellations by Virgin they don't refund the money, they send a "Virgin Experience Gift Card" instead. When I come to use it, just over a year later, I'm told it's expired. Even though there's no expiry date marked on the card. When I appeal I'm told "It's just like cash, it goes out of date". I explain that cash doesn't go out of date. Customer Services agree but say I've lost the money anyway. What a great way to make money! Charge you cash and give you nothing in return, 100% profit and more!!

I received my voucher which was bought by my sister for my 50th she had saved up to buy it at £79 we booked the afternoon tea then discovered to our surprise if we had booked ourselves the cost would only be £45 for the two of us . That's £34 cheaper than when using the voucher !! Please think carefully before purchasing these voucher as you will get much ( in fact nearly double) more for your money if you contact the venue directly ( in our case ). We are so disappointed what an absolute rip off . Activity superstore shame on you .
