Another 'Vodafone Nightmare'... I had a SIM-only contract for my iPad incl. the 'Eurotraveller' (data @ £3 per day when abroad), came back from a short trip and received an unduly high invoice - the Eurotraveller hadn't been implemented = I incurred extra costs. Made my first - very long - call, was ensured, the error was theirs, all is resolved, 'Back Office' would be in touch within 7 working days with the revised invoice, after that I could cancel my contract. Needless to say, they didn't get back, instead, I received an even higher invoice. Went to Vodafone store, they couldn't help me, but I could make a call from the store (loud, uncomfortable as I had to stand in a corner, nowhere to put paper/pen). Finally, resolved issue; paid what I actually owed by debit card, cancelled my account. All done - so I thought... 2 Months later - I receive a reminder - an even higher amount - although I haven't had their SIM in my iPad for months! AND - I had paid the bill! - 2 months ago! I decided to use the online Chat facility so I would have a written transcript of the conversation. 16.11.15 - 1 hour 48 minutes! If you were to read it, you'd think it's some sort of practical joke - the kind where someone tells you really stupid stuff to test your patience only to secretly film you when you loose it... Unbelievable! 4 different people, each not properly reading what I had written, scripted answers that weren't relevant, left on hold for ages, lousy spelling. But, finally resolved! I had their written assurance of the immediate cancellation, incorrect charges removed from my account and 'Thank you for contacting Vodafone, have a nice day ahead'.... Then, last week, one month later - a lovely Christmas letter surprise - I receive the FINAL NOTICE - with threat to register my account as a bad debt etc! Enough is enough - I've registered my complaint with the Ombudsman and received friendly, professional attention from there. Next, I have to waste more time and money in sending a registered mail to the CEO of Vodafone and try to get some press attention, write as many bad reviews as I can, warn friends, family, colleagues. It really isn't worth going with a company with such poor customer service - there are so many others out there. There can't be any price deal worth the hassle. I wonder how many more reviews of this sort they need before someone at the top realises that their system and management need a serious overhaul?

I would try any other network provider before Vodafone! I have 5 phones on my contract and whenever there is a problem Vodafone will not address the problem, the customer services are disgusting to the point they have an habit of hanging up on you and not calling back! My bills are supposed to be free calls and texts but I am getting charged £3 each for sending a text to my mum who lives on the next street, Avoid at all costs.

I am absolutely seething with rage at Vodafone right now. I have 2 contracts with them and have been a customer for many years. Just before Christmas last year, we pretty much lost our signal at our home address. I contacted Vodafone multiple times about this but they wouldn't accept that there was a problem and suggested I buy a Sure Signal box at a cost of £100. I was pretty unimpressed and vowed to cancel the contracts as soon as I was able. Other people in our house are on EE and O2 and have no signal problems. So, the first contract is now available to cancel and I duly rang last Sunday to do this and the guy I spoke to was lovely. Told me I was a VIP customer because I'd been with them so long and he would offer me a great deal to stay. I totally fell for it. What an idiot I was. He offered me a fabulous deal including a brand new iphone and a Sure Signal Box free of charge and it would all be delivered on Tuesday. I was very happy and more than satisfied. But, alas, it was not to be. When I didn't get a text notification on Tuesday with the delivery time, I checked online to discover that my order had been cancelled and an email confirmation sent to to confirm this. No email was sent. In fact, Vodafone didn't contact me at all. I got on their online chat, and after about 30 minutes, someone promised to speak to their boss to reinstate the order which had been cancelled due to 'technical' reasons and that I would receive a text later. No text arrived so I got on the online chat for the second time and after a couple of transfers they decided they had to call me. No signal, remember?? I did eventually get them to call me on the landline and they put me on hold and, after driving home for Christmas with Chris Rea for the tenth time, they cut me off. Blood pressure rising, I tried online chat again only to come up against a brick wall. No one could explain the technical issues that led to my order being cancelled and no one knew how to reinstate it. After two and a half hours, I gave up and they told me to try agaian the next day. Then, out of the blue, the very first person I spoke to on online chat text me and told me the phone would be delivered the next day. Between 8 and 6. I waited in. Again. No phone. No Sure Signal Box. No communication from Vodafone and not one sign of an apology to which I am now surely entitled. So, I ventured into the miserable world of online chat with them again. They came up with the same bullsh*t excuses and still couldn't explain what had happened and said it was possible they could reinstate the order but it was going to take 3-5 days to process this before they could start. I can get a new phone from EE or O2 straight away. I really don't need to be treated like this by Vodafone. I am indescribably fed up with this multi-million pound company's complete inability to process an order. I am, of course, going to cancel both my contracts. I have had multiple contracts with Vodafone for over a decade and I will never deal with them again. I can't believe they have treated me this way but reading other reviews makes me realise I am far from alone in this. I'm going to share my experience with Vodafone on every site I can find.

absolute disgrace, nobody knows what they are doing or talking about, customer service says one thing and stores say another, on the customer services they are like talking to a bunch of dyslexic cats, constantly passing you from one branch to another and then to another until somebody hangs up, they don't record the notes in the the account like the law requires them to, they don't look into any problems you have just say " you owe the money you have to pay" either tho the contract was cancelled before my start date, stay away at all costs if you value your health, money and credit score

I did send that following e-mail to Voda phone CEO's address (jeroen.hoencamp@vodafone.com) plus complaint department on 7th December and still not having any reply till 9th December till 23:20pm!!!! Good Evening I have moved to Your network three months before from EE after 8 long years with them. Moved due to get an exclusive offer with IPhone 6 that I was looking for. I had a option in day one to secure another contract but I did not take that that time due to my another contract was nearly finishing with EE by 21st November. I rang 191 and took iPhone 6 Plus on 21st November. I received PAK code from EE on 24th November and passed that to upgrade team as requested by mentioning that need to process when I will ring after receiving the hand set that supposed to be delivered by 4th December . Worst thing happened when I rang on 27th November to confirm that I have received the hand set but missing SIM card . Adviser advised me that I will receive that next day. But I did not receive that next day. I rang again and adviser confirmed that someone forgot to despatch the SIM. He re ordered that and I received that on 29th November. When I put the sim inside set that showed NO Service . I also noticed that my main number 07983025137 is showing No Service. Then I rang them again 3 different times but they dropped my call at certain point of time. I made those calls from my number 07983025137. They did not really behaved well with me at all, no one solved my issue. Than I rang from my land line number 01619007975 and spent around 45 mins on 084 number that cost me also but that adviser assured me that my main number will start functioning in 24 hours but the temporary number will be start functioning in 72 hours . My number backed to normal in 24 hours but that number not backed in 72 hours. Just to note adviser mentioned that for without having connection I will be compensated and my complaint been raised . As my wife use my 2nd number(Original EE no-07535653491) and could not contact with my children's , office last couple of days. That causes us big mental distresses. After that conversation I received 2 new SIM card again and I rang again as I did not connected in 72 hours. Adviser did not find any notes in the system after 27th November and asked me again to put one of the two new SIM card that holding the number tel:07470116582. And mentioned it has been raised again and will take 72 hours again . They can't do anything more about that. It was done in 03/12. I have same No Service signal in that above number ended with 6582. Already passed 72 hours. My wife and my family still suffering and mentally effected with this un tolerable issue . I need a proper investigation please in this regard. As my complaint has not been logged after I requested for several times. Please let me know what you have done for me. Thanks for your time all cooperation sim this regards. Kind Regards Md Manjurul Shaheed Mob : 07983025137

Having been with Vodafone for at tleat 12 years I am now on my way out. On 17 Nov I was contacted by sales team to upgrade - so I did - gold iphone 6. Email confirmation showed previous address, although salesman confirmed by current address at point of sale in conversation, and it was the wrong colour phone! Many hours on phone to 191 and phone was delivered to right address - but still wrong phone. More phone calls - right phone ordered and I could send wrong one back with delivery driver. Nothing heard so on 22 Nov called again to be told order cancelled due to fault with their software update but noone thought to give me the courtesy of letting me know. Asked to speak to manager - one would call back in 48 hours. No, want to speak to someone now! Advisor went for a few minutes and repeated the 48 hour bit then thanked me for calling Vodafone and hung up???? 23 Nov asked for bag to send back wrong phone. Promised one in a few days but nothing arrived so rang again on 1 Dec - nothing arrived and I rang again on 4 Dec. One should be with me this coming week. Not holding my breath! It also appears I could not have gold phone anyway - not been available since October. I have also written 3 letters (the last one has been delivered as I sent it sign for mail) and an email to CEO and heard nothing - not even acknowledgement of receipt. I cannot believe the lack of care or courtesy. Moving to O2 who I have heard have far better customer services - experienced it once yesterday when I rang to ask a few questions. AVOID VODAFONE is my advice!

Absolutely dreadful customer service! Phone 26 days old when it died, took it back to the shop who sent it off for repair (code for: report for "liquid damage" so we don't have to take responsibility) so even though they should replace it under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 they seem to think the law doesn't apply to them so long as they get a piece of paper blaming the customer! The phone was brand new, hardly used and hasn't seem a sniff of water, vapour, steam or any of the other silly reasons they gave that I might have caused it (fancy that, a mobile phone you can't use outside, near a cup of coffee or breath near?!? Who'd have thought!). Legal action to recover costs and a report to trading standards underway but please don't touch them with a barge pole as they're all lovely and fluffy when they're selling you the phone but turn into obnoxious idiots if you have a problem afterwards!

I have experienced constant problems via my account as well as my partner's account with Vodafone. It started with charging us monthly paper billing. Every month we would opt out and every month they would charge us for paper billing anyway. They would take the charges off, assure us that it wouldn't happen again, even gave us credit on our next bill for the constant running around, but this problem has yet to cease 16 months into our 24 month contract. We are always having to go back and forth with them to take the billing off. When we decided we had had enough and wanted to leave (our phones had started to crash frequently by this date), they offered us an early upgrade. We agreed and for the past 3 days have spent hours and hours on the phone and via live chat to get the right phones sent out to us at the right location. At first they only managed to get one of our orders sorted. When we asked to get the other account sorted, they said the other would have to pay an early leaving charge. We refused and told them that they had already promised us an early upgrade so this was going against what they'd originally promised. When they finally agreed, they said that the new phone would be set up on the same account. We were promised a delivery the next day, but upon checking, there was no extra order placed on the account. Hours on the phone later, they promised it was sorted and would be sent to the correct address. This morning, we found out that the phone was NOT being sent to the correct address. AND once again they had deleted the other order. One phone arrived instead of two. Having been on the phone with Vodafone again today to fix this issue, we were told we were lying (despite our evidence of various Live Chat transcripts), but as a gesture of goodwill, they would send out the extra phone. We will see whether or not this problem has been fixed, but I have my doubts in all honesty. If you can't flick a switch on a computer for 16 months to take off paper billing on two accounts, I don't know why I expect you to be able to send out two phones instead of just one to the requested address.

The worst company EVER, who could not even cancel my monthly phone contract on the date that they promised and then would not even answer my emails or calls. When I spoke to Live Chat, as soon as I complained the Chat was disconnected. Vodafone DO NOT EVEN DESERVE A VERY POOR RATING AS THEY ARE EVEN WORSE THAN VERY POOR!!!!!

Totally impossible organisation to communicate with - bit pathetic seeing as it is a allegedly a communications company! Can't access my account on line and every time I get to live chat or speak to someone they cut off. Can't wait for contracts to expire so we can go to another provider. Nightmare company.

Vodafone UK is the worst service provider you will ever meet. I have discovered that 4 months ago they have added another contract on my account without my permission and they have successfully charged me ever since. Almost 5 months later to this date, this issue is not resolved even after tens of chat sessions, customer service calls and visits in the local shop. I still have to pay for it until it gets sorted. They will just lie, lie and lie. If you can...STAY AWAY. Any other provider is better

I have been with vodophone 10 year and have 4 lines with them totalling 110 a month. I had a problem with my bill last month, must have rang customer service 50 times to try sort it out. Went to the shop who were in my favour and they tried to sort it with customer services, still no joy. Put in numerous complaints to which I'm still waiting on a response a month later.... I will be cancelling all of my contracts as soon as possible. Appauling Vodafone, I work for the nhs and if we treat patients like this we would be struck off!!
