“I am beyond stoked about my bar and plates. The Olympic bar itself has such an awesome feel. Because of the black oxide finish you get a great feel on the bar. The knurling is great! Ive used some bars that the knurling feels nonexistent and I've used others that it feels like shark teeth. Vulcan has figured out the best between the two! And the bumper plates! Wow! These things are so nice! They are so solid and have a nice dead bounce which keeps the bar from walking all over the place. And the lower weighted plates don't bend or fold at all. They are just as solid all the way through as the 45lbs are. And the colors are absolutely incredible! Vulcan also has incredible costumer service. Anytime i had a question, they would email me back within the hour usually. Beyond impressed with everything!”

“I have owned this set for about a year and a half now and I must say that I'm very impressed with the quality of both the bar and the plates. I shopped around quite a bit before deciding to go with Vulcan and I'm very happy I did. The inserts have held up quite well and show no signs of damage or loosening. One thing I really like about these is that they bounce dead, even when dropping from overhead there is little to no rebound with these bumpers. I highly recommend Vulcan, I'd be surprised if you can find better quality equipment for the price.”

“I've been impressed by the bar and bumper package, both for its value and quality. I shopped packages for days and couldn't beat Vulcan's cost per lb shipped. Unlike other bars I've used, the knurling is excellent and doesn't tear your hands up during a heavy lift. The bar also has just the right amount of whip, and the bumpers don't bounce back up to your ears when dropping from overhead. “I've heard that Vulcan bars were right up there with high end bars and they are correct. Well built bar with great whip for those heavy Olympic lifts. As far as the bumper plates go I have no complaints. This is for an at home gym for three individuals and they serve their purpose well. They are a great training plate. I purchased these on line in the morning and they were ready for pick up in the afternoon. Vulcan was quick to return all my emails. I will definitely purchase more equipment from Vulcan. Thank you so much.”

“I recently purchesed this bar for my garage gym. I mainly do crossfit and strength training for football. I have used it for about 2 weeks now, and it is performing great. The sleeve spin from the bearings is fantastic, much better than any bushing bar I've used. It will hold up great to any type of general training you throw at it, but if you're planning on doing any specific olympic lifting or powerlifting, go with a speciality bar. There is one complaint, but it is something that should be expected so I didn't dock any stars. The black zinc coating on the sleeves chips very easily, mine is almost silver now and I've used it less than 10 times. But it doesn't affect the performance of the bar at all. Overall, great barbell”

“Love this bar. It spins so smoothly! Knurling is really quite perfect and hasn't torn me up but still grippy. Makes me want to use it a lot! I don't mind the maintenance either. My husband loves it too and wishes he would/could have the black friday deal back!”
