Mounted the whole system pretty solid. I'm very disappointed that I didn't get my j hooks. So it's pretty much useless other than the pul up bar. Haven't gotten an update on when they are going to be shipped either.

I own Alpha Bumpers and Pro Hex Rubber Dumbbells from Vulcan. The Alpha Bumpers seem great, although I can't comment on their durability yet since they're still new. The Pro Head Rubber Dumbbells are nice for the price, but I was a disappointed by how big the rubber seam on the handles was; it digs into my palm a bit when holding the dumbbells and would definitely cause blisters if I did high reps of anything where the handle rotated during the lift. I think I will be able to fix the problem with a file since the seam is only rubber, but annoying to have to do that for brand new equipment.

I ordered the 280lb bumper set. The 10lb set has a larger than bar sleeve circumference making a loose fit. The set of 15lb bumpers are the same with one of the 15lb plates being a larger circumference all over all than the rest of the set. Due to this, I am forced to constantly readjust and tighten the weights that are held in place with collars when used for cleans and deadlifts. I do not drop, slam, nor am I testing the durability of construction when lifting. I focus on control, form and quality lifts. 1x 45lb plate has a cosmetic gash in it upon arriving. The shipping packaging was good, the weights all arrived within a few days to the APO and within 2 weeks of purchase. Overall, I give these bumpers 3 stars for the inconsistency in size of the 15lb, 10lb and the damage to 1x45lb plate of the 4 total 45lb.

Hi Joshua, Thanks for your review. All of the bumper plates use the exact same diameter steel insert. 50.4 mm within +/- .003mm. Could it be that what you are experiencing is due to the 10 lb and 15 lb plates having less surface area to make contact with the bar due to their thinner dimensions? In other words, a 45 lb plate will always fit tighter than a 10 lb plate because the 45 lb plate has 3 times more surface area making contact with the barbell than a thin 10 lb plate. This is my first experience buying with VSTS and unfortunatley it has not gone well. I bought the 22 KG Absolute Competition Kettlebell and I received it in poor packaging, multiples chips of pain taken off it, and the front face scratched heavily down to the underlying metal. I contacted Vulcan customer support and was simply told they were not responsible for the cosmetic damage and that I could get some credit towards the purchase or file a claim against Fedex. I have bought heavier kettlebells from other companies that came packaged much more securely without incident. While the kettlebell does what it is supposed to, I can't rate it, or the experience any higher than a 3 star.

The website had many inaccurate pricing problems. My email pointing it out and inquiring about the true prices went unanswered. I kept a keen eye to notice corrections and made my purchase, even with the site saying free clamps, then charging me for them and the stated percentages discounted for combo buys being incorrect not to the consumer's advantage. I bought the 305lb bar and bumper combo, but there was still more work to do, as no call or email explained the next steps to pick this up. After emailing this time, I did receive a terse response. So, now I've got the bar and bumpers and believe they'll last me quite a while. Sturdy, solid build. Nice quality control and wrapping of the products. Great kneeling. So, this company makes a good product. As do others. What you look for in these circumstances is the company with the better service promise and delivery and quite frankly, Vulcan left me so underwhelmed and disappointed when they easily could have gone over the top. Didn't end this transaction thinking they had a customer for life. Left feeling they had a customer for life and carelessly threw it away.

Hi Matthew, Thanks for your review. Our apologies for any miscommunication or missed emails. It sounds like you may have been viewing a product page that was being edited. All Bumper plate and bar sets were being changed during the time that you placed your order. Unfortunately, the spring clips are no longer included within the price of the set and were not listed as free when your order was placed. The discount we have always advertised on the bumper plate and bar sets for local pick up is 7.5% from regular advertised price. The discount you received and the pricing on that item were correct at the time of your purchase. Our general policy is to contact our customer when the order is ready for pick up. Orders can be ready for pick up on the same day or next business day usually when placed before 12pm. Your order came in at 3:07pm Wednesday and we did not make contact with you until 1:13pm on Friday of that same week.. Our apologies for the delay. We truly want all of our customers to be happy with our products and customer service. We hope to see you again. Thank you.

Partial order shipped without any notification that some items were backordered,, so I was surprised to find a box with only some of the things I ordered. Regarding a different order, not very communicative regarding estimated ship times on a pretty expensive order for a set of Vulcan Alpha plates. Just some better customer service/communication would be greatly appreciated.

First, let me start of by saying I have absolutely no prior experience with muscle floss bands. Also, this review applies only to the high compression band. I thought I would try the high compression band first since I felt I had enough muscle mass to need it, but I have been disappointed so far. Part of the problem for me is that it applies much more compression than I thought it would, and I feel like I lose a lot of movement ability with it on. I just can't wrap it loose enough to still stick and get the compression and movement I want. I feel like trying the regular compression band would have been much better to start with, the high compression band just doesn't have the flexibility for joints that I want. However, if you needed it to compress a large muscle like your quads without covering a joint, it does well at that. 5 stars for product quality. it seems durable and well made. Just the use of the product didn't meet my expectations for what I wanted to do with it. I will definitely try the regular compression band next.

Do not hesitate if you are on the fence about purchasing bumpers from Vulcan Strength. Great product and fast shipping. I was working out with my new bumpers within 48 hours. If I already didn't have 400lbs of cast weights I would be purchasing more. Still might....

Hi Rebekah, You purchased a Wall Ball on Clearance due to discoloration. It is stated in the first line of the product description in bold font. "These Medicine Balls are discolored. They are new and unused. The Durability of the Med ball is not impacted by the aesthetic defects". It will not have any impact on use or durability Our new med balls are solid black. Let us know if we can assist further.

I've had my bar for almost a year now and within the first week of using it, the entire finish on both sleeves flaked off. There also seems to be some discoloration on the unknurled part of the shaft. It still spins nice though and I haven't oiled it. You get what you pay for.

The black zinc coating is not very good for barbells, we could never guarantee its longevity and moved away from it for that reason.

I want to start by saying this is a very nice bar. I was looking for a very specific bar when I bought mine and I thought this filled the billet. All black, 15KG, with a decent knurling. This bar seemed to check all the boxes. However the claim to a "medium" knurling just didn't prove to be true... The knurling is next to none. I'm a little bit upset by this because I was willing to spend the extra dollar for that and in the end I could have bought an identical bar for $100 less. It really is a great bar but if you're looking for something with a more aggressive knurling this is not the one.

I ordered the colored bumpers but received the black ones and the issue still hasn’t been resolved, however, all of that aside the bumpers are great, low noise, low bounce, and they are hardy, Would give 5 stars but I really wish i could have gotten what I ordered

I got the Vulcan Elite 3.0 about a month ago. I've been using it for olympic lifts and assistance work (squats, pulls, etc.). Here's my review: Pros: 1. Whip: The whip is really nice. Catching heavy cleans is relatively soft on the the shoulders. 2. Strength: For a 28mm bar, this bar feels STRONG. Some of the lower end Pendlay bars feel like they do not return to straight after repeated use. This bar starts to bend with about 140kg on it but returns to straight afterwards. I am confident it will hold up for a long time. Neutral: 1. Spin: The spin is fine. It spins relatively well, especially for a bearing bar, but nothing to write home about. Cons: 1. Knurling: To me, the knurling does not feel sharp enough for olympic lifts. It's not as soft as a worn down globo gym bar, but I've used Rogue weightlifting bars, DHS training bars, and pendlay bearing bars and I prefer the knurling on all of those compared to the Vulcan Elite 3.0. Also, the center knurling is almost comically soft. I specifically wanted a bar with center knurling for use during squats but the center knurling on this bar serves almost no purpose. 2. Finish: This is one the biggest cons of all in my opinion. I was quite stunned when I opened the package and immediately saw that the bar has a sort of matte finish to it, rather than that shiny finish I am accustomed to seeing on high quality bars. While I don't think it really affects the quality of the bar, I just really don't like it and I don't think the photos of the bar's finish on Vulcan's website show the finish clearly. 3. Packaging: The package that the bar came in was standard cardboard which is fine but there was no notice on the packaging that the bar should not be stored vertically. It seemed clear the bar had been stored vertically since the bar arrived quite greasy from lubricant that leaked out of the sleeves during transit. 4. Sleeves: Another huge drawback in my opinion. As a weightlifter, I'm accustomed to not using collars during most lifts. I've performed olympic lifts and assistance work in this fashion using many bars and have never really had an issue with plates sliding. This is NOT the case with the Vulcan 3.0 Elite. Especially during squats, it feels like if the bar does not remain perfectly straight, the plates will start to slide. I WOULD NOT LIFT ON THIS BAR WITHOUT USING COLLARS. 5. Price: Taking into account the numerous cons versus few pros, I think the bar is overpriced. Overall: I'd rate this bar 3 out of 5 stars. It's hard to find a reliable 28mm bar with decent spin for under $400 so I'll give Vulcan credit for that. I really wanted to love this bar but I cannot rate this bar more 3 stars due to the soft knurling, slippery sleeves, cheap looking finish, and inflated price for a bar with these flaws.

Hi Daniel, Thanks for leaving a review. We just wanted to address what you stated as the cons of the bar out of the many points you mentioned. Knurling: as you stated, it's really a matter of preference and some people will like knurling that they have been training with or grown accustomed to initially. The finish is listed as dense chrome and listed as matte in the description. It is definitely not cheap. The two images that show the center knurling (listed as passive) and outer knurling should show the matte finish, but our apologies if you did not see any of this information. Sleeves. The bar does flex more than any of the other bars you mentioned. It flexes with less than 140kg from our testing, which is not done with human methods but by applying pressure to the bar in the way we show for the 1500lb deflection test (using less pressure). All this being said, chrome sleeves plus "flexy" bar means plates can slide. We recommend using collars during lifting with any bar. Just to be safe. Packaging. The bar can be stored upright or horizontally. The oil you see in the bag is oil applied to the bar itself to dissipate any humidity during ocean transit and storage within our warehouse. It's just to prevent the corrosive effects of the environment. Price. We know of no one currently offering a bar with tensile strength, equivalent rotation, tight tolerances, as well as highly durable chrome finish and true 28mm shaft at the knurling within IWF specs, at our price.
