This is a good cast iron kettle bell. On par with the Rouge KB's I have which are also on par with the RKC bells I have. The finish on my Rouge bells is a little nicer, and the color coding is a nice touch, but the design of the Vulcan bell is solid. Got it on clearance so the price was fantastic.

55lb plates appeared to have quite a few cosmetic touch ups of almost the same color red, but glossy paint, which makes the blemishes show up more. Appearance doesn't really bother me much and the rest of the plates are fine. Half a star from me for having what look like quality assurance stickers inside the steel inserts. The stickers rub off on the bar and make a mess. Wish I had noticed them and scraped them out prior to using. Another half star for the stink. Seriously, these things do smell. Not like a good petroleum smell (mmm..gasoline) but almost like an oily mothball smell. Not good. I live in a small house with a door to the garage just off the kitchen. (I work out in the garage). Just opening and closing the door makes my whole downstairs stink. I have cleaned them since they came coated in oil....but I hope in time the smell will abate. Thanks Vulcan!

Great barbell, great spin solid knurling. The finish on the sleeves is coming off right away but does not matter performance wise. All Olympic movements are great, wonderful piece of equipment for any garage gym

I love the spin of this bar it is true to the hype. I love how smoothly it spins while obtaining my grip for first pull. The bar will roll into your grip smoothly. I especially feel the spin on the jerk as I can feel my hands/wrist turning over into position. I was disappointed with the knurling. The knurling is not very aggressive at all and the cuts on my bar were a little (maybe more then a little) sloppy. The center knurling lines are slanted and not on a crisp start and finish. Seems the machining process was not on point. The outer knurling also blend in and don't have a crisp sharp beginning. None of which affect the bar spin or performance but just looks sloppy for a $500 bar. Overall great bar performance. Sloppy on looks.

Hi Juan, What you speak of is a result of the thickness of the Hard Chrome Plating. The knurling is cut very straight on the raw steel. The raw steel is then polished in the smooth areas where there is no knurling. The polisher can slightly touch the borders of the knurling. After the Hard Chrome is applied at the thickness we specify and then polished again, the borders of the knurling can be slightly obscured. It's just part of the manufacturing process. If we used a less expensive process like bright zinc or nickel chrome the borers of the knurling would be very crisp, but neither of those finishes would last as long. So we sacrifice a little aesthetics for more durability and performance. Thanks for your purchase and review!

I am loving the sets of bumper plates, the only thing I wasn't too fond of was the rubber smell but after a few weeks and a wipe down, it has gone away. I will definitely be purchasing more as I start going up in weight.

Everything came in fine and in a timely manner, but having to wait an additional 21 business days for my clips to come in was disappointing.

I was a little hesitant about no steel insert on the rubber, but it turned out great! Got a new snatch PR! Thing is unbreakable too! I can throw it around without cringing whether it breaking or not! Good purchase!

I'm actually quite pleased with the product itself. The lack of pictures on the website is a huge mistake because this thing is pretty badass. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the inability to speak with a human. If you call the Vulcan number, no one will pick up...ever! The only way I could get a response was through email. Even though they got back to me in a timely manner,

All of the welds are done well and the brackets are extremely solid. The included mounting hardware were masonry anchors, and I was mounting it to wall studs. Installed with 3/8 x 3" lag screws and a 1 1/4" galvanized pipe from the hardware store for the bar and it didn't even budge with my 260lb frame hanging from it. Well done, Vulcan.

My purchase was expedited in an efficient and timely manner. My weights also arrived in a good time and I was pleased with the quality of the product and I am excited to see what else I may be able to purchae. I should also add that the value for money was great. Loved the price.

Very good and solid. I like the lack of finish on them.

The products are awesome, especially for the price. The bar spins great and feels good, the knurling could be a tad more rough but that's just my opinion. The bumper plates are sturdy and don't have a lot of bounce which I think is useful. The metal inlet also is sealed tight so that it should with stand a good amount of abuse!
