We booked a Kingfisher Super Touring Pitch and were allocated pitch 7, which was perfect. The integrated shower and toilet into a private space was excellent and kept spotlessly clean. We used the pub for food and on both occasions we were very pleased with both portion size and the use of fresh ingredients. Needless to say we will be coming back!

It's an ok camping spot, but not glamping. Although therooms are expensive for what they are.

We stayed in the Oulton penthouse last week. We had stayed in the Carlton 3 years ago & were really impressed, but this time the apartment was far from clean, the carpets in particular are horribly stained throughout, and the bathroom floors and bottom of the shower cubicle were dirty & mouldy. There was a blood stain on the curtain in the lounge and the coffee table was very sticky to the touch. Clearly nothing had been cleaned properly for months. Last time we had an impressive welcome pack with bread, marmalade, cake, milk, this time was much more meagre. The staff were surly on the whole, twice we asked for help closing the sliding doors in the apartment, both our requests were ignored, so we had to go out leaving the apartment unsecured. The restaurant menu has dumbed down since we were last there too, with fewer fresh ingredients and no waitress service to take your order anymore. We particularly remembered the fish platter which is no longer available. To top it all we had en extremely loud party of all girls downstairs at the weekend who had loud music & shrieked a lot. We couldn’t even watch TV to distract ourselves as there was literally no signal those 2 nights! The kitchen seemed less well appointed too - there was no strainer/ colander to drain rice or veg or to wash fruit and one saucepan was so dirty we didn’t even try to clean it & use it, as was the washing up bowl & drainer. All in all, we were very disappointed after having had such a good experience last time. The whole apartment including the balcony needs a thorough deep clean. Before you build any more lodges on site, perhaps you should look after the accommodation you already have. I hope this review will be helpful to you. l’m afraid we have been put off returning again.

We stayed in the Reedham lodge which was a really good size and layout. My only gripe was the cleanliness of the lodge when we arrived. It appears that this lodge was more dated than the other wood lodges and could use abit of a freshen up. We did report the cleanliness and this issue was addressed the next day. The shower in the en-suite was also broken which was fixed two days after we reported it. The facilities were excellent and our young children enjoyed the park and swimming pool. We didn’t eat at the on site restaurant but enjoyed a couple of drinks there and it was very pleasant. The location was ideal for trips to the coast or to explore the broads. Would recommend but suggest people pick one of the newer lodges which are the same price.

Had a lovely few days here, would definitely recommend, we stayed in the Beccles Lodge, very nice two small issues the television was too high and the single bed mattress wasn't very comfortable, but this didn't detract in anyway to the enjoyment of our stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Hopefully we will be back.

We had a wonderful weekend at Waveney River Centre, it was our first time camping/glamping and the site exceeded my expectations. It was a perfect size in a pretty setting, the toilets and showers were very clean, the staff were helpful and polite. The only thing that would have made the escape pod better would have been a couple of hooks by the door for coats, bags etc and maybe a small corner shelf so we could have put things down as I felt that everything was on the floor! Apart from that small minor issue it was fabulous, and we will definitely be coming back again, hopefully trying a yurt next time! Thank you for a lovely stay, Kind Regards, Laura

We have stayed with you before and loved it, this time though I was very ill so could not come. Let you know in enough time for you to re-allocate, asked for our money back as we are elderly pensioner's and need the money. You said NO. As the Manager must be very rich we are not impressed as need the money. Would you please re-consider if we sent a Medical Certificate. Can I ask why you sent me a message saying you hope we enjoyed our stay when we where not even there. Please DO ANSWER ME, as I have rated you very good from the previous occasion.

We loved Waveney River Centre, it had everything you could possibly want for a break on the Norfolk broads. Toilet block was cleaned regularly, hot water showers, the washing up room was spotless, onsite shop and public house. you can even hire a boat for the day. The site caters for touring caravan's campervan's and tent's but you can also book a yurt, pod or a luxery log cabin with hot tub.

We loved our visit to Waveney River Centre. Our lodge was perfect for us and our dog, especially the beautiful view from the veranda. The grounds are very clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. We also loved our day sailing on the Broads. I’m sure we’ll be recommending this place to others!

It was okay. Not much in the way of provisions in the shop. No newspapers. Lodge was clean and tidy. Could have done with some side plates. Too many trees behind main bedroom making it very dark. Cutting out lots of light. Didn't think much of having to empty the dish washer. Was given a feeble reason as to why we had to do so. More for the convenience of your staff in my opinion. Poor choice of menu in the restaurant. Not very healthy. Wouldn't stay again.

Came for a hen weekend, the house was beautiful! Just missing a few things from the kitchen and needs a bigger kettle! But other than that fantastic!

Excellent facilities lovely friendly staff. The pub was great lovely food. So nice to have the swimming pool and fishing available. The only thing I would say it was noisy at night with other guests.

Just had 8 nights camping, nice site 2nd visit, pool good needs to be open later, restaurant and bar good, menu does need changing. As usual weekend campers who show no respect to others spoil it with noise and out of control children, the management are pro active once a complaint is made, but they need to be pro-active rather than wait for a client to make the complaint, surely a patrol on Friday and saturday night is better. Good site, excellant staff and clean, shower rooms need revamping as tired. Will revisit at some time.

Very hospitable and quiet location for our wee 2-person tent. We were bicycle touring and used the ferry to access the site. Excellent food as well. Thank you!

The centre was very clean with good toilet and shower facilities. I felt the shop could have been stocked better and the opening times were a bit poor. The lady on reception was disinterested and bordering rude on all 4 occasions I went in. From picking up the keys to buying the ferry tickets and paying in the shop. I’m not sure I would go back again or would recommend to others and there is nothing I felt was worth going back to. It’s a good location if you like to hire boats. If you pay to go across the ferry you can then walk of cycle for miles and enjoy the views. But don’t expect a friendly welcome

This was the first time I had embarked on camping in over 25 years. The sight is off the beaten track, in a beautiful location. Our large plot for camping was overlooking all the moored boats. You can also stay in lodges, yurts, escape pods and the hotel, or hire a boat for the day or week. The facilities were excellent with great showers, clean toilets, place to wash your dishes (indoors) a small shop for essentials and a great pub with lovely meals. I recommend the beer battered cod and chips, the portion sizes are on the large side too! The staff are friendly and helpful. I stayed from Tuesday to Saturday, it livens up at the weekend with families and a younger clientele. I will definitely come back again, next time it will include hiring one of the boats for the day. If you are looking for peace and quiet during the week to get away from it all this is the place to come. Haven't felt so chilled out in years, and actually enjoyed the camping experience!

This is our 2nd visit to WRC. Unfortunately we didn’t feel the cleanliness of our lodge was to the same standard as our last visit. There were dog hairs on the floor, old rice grains and lots of dust in places. For a higher priced ‘luxury’ lodge we did expect better cleanliness. Aside from the lodge the setting is fantastic and staff are friendly. The pool is great and the boat hire onsite is fantastic. The check in/out times are an annoyance when you are only coming for a short stay particularly when the key isn’t even ready at check in. This needs to be improved. Overall a good break and we would come back in the hope that the unclean lodge was just a ‘blip’ this time around.
