I now know what expected delivery really means!! You will never know when it comes so you cannot plan ahead to be in. I did tell my neighbour and she saw it on the doorstep. This could have laid there for days telling everyone I am not there. I really do not want to use Amazon . i will have to think where to go next time.

Dear Alice, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We're sorry to hear that there's been a problem with your delivery. Although Royal Mail 2nd Class postage does not require a signature, the parcel should not have been left outside. In the event of a missed delivery, when the parcel does not fit through the letter box, the delivery person should always post a missed delivery notice through the door so a collection or re-delivery can be arranged. Fortunately issues are very rare and we take on board any complaints received from our customers. We work closely with our Royal Mail representative to reduce the instances where the delivery service is not up to the standards we expect. Box too big for my letterbox had to go to sorting office to collect, that took over an hour and involved catching four buses. Just two small books that Amazon has previously got through letter box no problem. Cut down on size and packaging I suggest.

We have lots of different types of packaging to choose from, we vary the packaging depending on the size, weight and shape of the book being dispatched. The items usually come damaged. Your package is insufficient when shipping to another countries.

book cover was dirty and a lot of black stains like someone written on it with a pencil. Unable to give that for a present and unable to return it as I travelled abroad for Easter. Its not really good service and I will not order again from Wordery

Although delivery was quick, I received my book with 2 rips on the front cover! I wasn’t too bothered because the inside wasn’t affected but a new book still shouldn’t arrive faulty.

You got my address backwards, fortunately the local Canada Post Office knew me and delivered my book. My address is 12-1390 Kensington Parkway, Brockville, Ontario. You had my address as 1390-12 Kensington Parkway. I believe, this was carelessness on your part. Thank you for this opportunity to let you know what the problem was.

I truly enjoyed the book and it's content. The production was poor at best. The fact the Author's name was cut off from the book ( on all 3 that I purchased) lends a concern to the value that Wordery puts into the production quality versus the need to make money and " get the products out there mentality".

I have separately bought two books from Wordery now, both of which have arrived with damage to the corner of the front covers. When buying a new book worth £40 you expect it to arrive in mint condition. Unfortunately I required the books for my masters degree so could not afford the time wasted to return each book and given my experience I had no confidence that the replacement wouldn't be damaged either. As 100% of my buying experiences with Wordery has involved extremely visible damaged books I am sorry to say that I will not be using them again.

Wordery provides good value, and i'm told it pays its taxes. Speed of delivery is acceptable. The area that needs to be improved is packaging. The books fit loosely inside their boxes, with the result that jacket and covers are often bumped, ripped, or in other ways damaged.

When I opened the book the first two pages fell out because they had not been bound into the spline. Not Wordery's fault that the book was badly made but still unacceptable for one that cost over £30. Delivery time was OK but not as quick as my usual deliveries from "A". The packing was also too big for the book which arrived with a fold in the cover presumably because it bounced around in transit.

Ordered expecting prompt delivery as item was in stock. AFTER purchase was given delivery date of 8-12 days, arrived exactly 12 days after order. Could have cancelled but really needed the book so kept but disappointed.

I really like using Wordery to avoid the Amazon beast, but I'm increasingly disappointed by the delivery times. It seems that at every stage of the purchasing process, extra time is added in, so that what seemed to be available within 2-4 working days suddenly becomes 12-13. When you're purchasing ahead of travels or birthdays, as I often do, this is unhelpful in the extreme. I'd rather have upfront information from the get-go on when items can be delivered, rather than finding out after it's too late. It puts me off ordering from Wordery again, I'm afraid.

Dear Elizabeth - Some of our items are in stock at our UK warehouse while others are from our suppliers. We included the time it usually takes us to source this item within the delivery estimates on the product page. If express delivery is available we'll always outline this clearly on the product page. Ordered a children's book that needs a separate electronic 'pen' to use. I did not see anything when ordereing the book to say that the pen was not included. And Wordery do not sell the pen so I need to find it elsewhere. Very disappointing.
