I will never use WOB again, I have an issue with my deliveries, and CANNOT speak to anyone. This is such poor PR. If any of my family or friends suggest using you I will do my best to ensure they never use you. thanks, but never again

Sent incorrect version of book. Eventually agreed to refund providing I send the book back at my cost! Also expected customer to be able to match the ISBN code to the correct edition, all very weird.

Ordered 17 books, half are missing, and half of those delivered are not the condition they were descried as. No way of live contacting WOB and items were not even sent in a box (a bag!). All around, very poor experience. Anticipating having to credit card chargeback.

Extremely poor customer service. They don't care about their customers at all. I often used their special offer of buy 3 books get 1 free. I chose 3 books then put a second copy of one of them in my basket but didn't notice when I went to pay that the website hadn't registered the second copy and there wasn't a warning to notify me of this. I therefore missed out on the free book. When I contacted them they basically said tough luck. I was entitled to a free book and they didn't honour it. I was a long time loyal customer but now I know that they don't honour their offers I will no longer use them. Companies that don't care about their customers won't get my custom. Simple.

Ordered and paid for 3 books. Only received 2. That was my first time with WOB. Shan't be using them again. I just hope this was due to incompetence and not deliberate policy.

1st item arrived not matching the photo used online. Since complaining, they have now told me via email, they use a stock photo and not of the actual item you are purchasing. What I orderd and what I recieved are two different items. They want me to send it back at my own cost when it is them who has missold the item? Its is fulse advirtising! Why should I be out of pocket when you cannot list items correctly? 2nd Item condition did not match description. Claimed to be very good, but full of writing. I have since been told I will get a refund for this one, but not the one they listed incorrectly?

Ordered a 6 disc dvd series & it tuned up with only 2 discs in it, with broken pieces of plastic inside the case & no cardboard cover. Clearly no-one had checked this for quality, before sending it out!

Shocked at such poor customer service or any service for that matter. I ordered an item 17 days ago paying extra for express delivery and I am yet to receive it. Apparently as per tracking details Royal Mail are yet to receive it. It was due as per the email within 4 days. The phone number of WOB doesn’t allow you to speak to anyone just directs you to email addresses. And those, despite saying they will respond within 24/48 are yet to reply some 7 days later. This includes the ‘bot’ system. How dare a company take your money without providing a product. This company does not appear trust worthy. I realise I am going on my experience but to not have a way of contacting or communicating with a company is very suspicious but is quick to take your money.

This has become my go to site to purchase books (even colouring books!) Besides their huge book selection, the shipping is not as expensive as some other big sites which is such a relief for me as shipping to my country is usually crazy expensive with shipping sometimes being twice the price of a book but the shipping costs of WOB is reasonable (which means I end up buying another book or two 🤣) With regards to the state of the books themselves, I really have nothing to complain. I never received tattered or torn books and actually usually I am very impressed that the books are second hand because they would be in a pristine condition! I really cannot recommend WOB enough!

The book I received was not in the advertised condition (Very Good). WOB apologised and asked me to send them pictures, which I did. When I did not receive any further communication from the seller I sent a further email requesting a response and stating I would return the item the following day by Tracked 24 Royal Mail. I heard nothing from the seller to say the item was delivered back to them, but had proof of delivery from Royal Mail. I contacted WOB to ask why I had heard nothing and again they did not trouble themselves to reply. In the end I have had to raise a Claim with PayPal. I am very disappointed by the goods I received and by WOB's woefully poor customer service.

Ordered multiple books and only received one of them. You can’t reach a human being and they only email that my delivery arrived on a certain date. They did not answer my last email and had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I had ordered from them previously ( 5 years ago) and had no problem but obviously things have changed. What a disappointment !

If I could give zero stars I would. 'Jim' who has the title "Customer Service Hero" gave me zero help, so did 'James Q' when I asked to speak to a manger to resolve this issue. They sent me a book I didn't want and refused to give me the book I ordered. It's a real shame they have terrible customer service because they offer competitive prices. What's the point in a good price when they don't send you the book you've ordered. It's pathetic for a business to work like this. It's a fast way to close down. I won't use World of Books, directly or on Ebay. I can't recommend a company that doesn't get the basics right. Spend your money else where. You deserve better.

Very untrustworthy seller. Advertised a two volume set of books. Only sent one book. I had to contact an AI chatbot - so there is no human customer service. No response or resolution. Paid £59 for a poor quality single volume book. Would recommend shopping elsewhere and avoid them.

Appear to be going downhill recently. Ordered a paperback novel, copy condition described as very good. An ex-school copy, totally rubbed on all corners, pages acidic, cover creased, pencil notes and underlinings throughout which showed through to the next page as the paper quality was so poor. Had a charity shop label priced 70p on front cover. WOB charged me £4.60. Returned, awaiting outcome, but certainly not easy to return items.
