So easy to order, and with the same day delivery on a lot of items is so convenient! Argos always return or exchange so if you are not happy with your purchase there is no worry about getting your money back - I always go to Argos first to see if they have what I am looking for - they usually have the best price too.

Ordered 2 wardrobes 3 weeks ago, chose date and time for delivery which was confirmed, but was waiting in from 7-11am with no contact at all from Argos on Saturday. I had to call Argos to find out what was happening at 12.30pm, only to be told that they wouldn't be coming as they were no longer available ... yet nobody emailed or phoned to tell me this and I wasted Saturday waiting for them to arrive! You would have thought that having taken my money that they would have let me know and refunded, without me having to contact them.

I ordered a garden store online from Argos and paid extra for delivery between 7am and 12pm. The day before delivery I got an email saying that delivery would be between 11am and 1pm. I contacted them an explained there would be no one in after 12pm but all they could say was they would ask the driver to deliver before 12pm but they couldn't guarantee it. The driver eventually called to say he would deliver around 1.15pm. I told him not to bother and cancelled the order. Look elsewhere if you don't want to be messed about!

I'd give them no stars if I could. Appalling products - I bought some straighteners that they claimed on their website heated up to 200 degrees, but they didn't. I tried to return them, as they didn't do anything to my hair, but was told that because they turned on and I'd opened the packaging, I couldn't be refunded. The shop assistant we spoke to was rude, abusive and knew nothing about the products she was selling. When I complained about her, the customer services department took her side, claiming she was just "strict" and admitted that they did not actually know what temperature the item was supposed to heat up to. So basically they made up a load of information about a product and when it didn't meet their imaginary standards, they wouldn't give me my money back. Obviously I wasn't happy about this, but got abuse from their in store team, and bullied by their complaints department. The joke's on them though - I got my money back in a different store.

Bought a mattress with hundreds of four star reviews and it's rubbish. My brother was up at four in the morning it was paper thin and is very uncomfortable. The reviews are clearly made up don't believe them. I've wasted £80 on a mattress and had to buy another one for £100 from another store. Ripped off ! It will have to be skipped !!

I returned a Canon 700d DSLR, the assistant unpacked the item and looked for the battery to insert, but didn't, she then removed the body dust cover(thinking it was a lens cap) from the body and walked off with the camera to go see her boss,'really walking off without the dust cover?' I recommended she put the cover back on MY CAMERA and ask the boss to come here, she replaced the cover but walked off with MY PROPERTY (she effectively REPOSSESSED the item at which point I should have been refunded) I questioned what the position was if she dropped it out of sight She ignored me and tootled off through the obviously zero dirt environment of argos and went to find her boss, eventually she returned and said that the boss said it was dirty and obviously been opened, I advised her that argos policy is "unused"not unopened((she also said cameras aren't covered in" change your mind policy "))and that we suspected at purchase that it had been opened and returned(Written on receipt by previous assistant at purchase ).she advised me that if that had been the case they would have gotten another one from stock, I advised that they obviously would have done if they had more than one in stock, that is why I insisted that the original assistant annotate the receipt. She advised me that her boss said it was dirty (I cleaned everything immaculately and watched a YouTube unboxing to ensure I reboxed it perfectly(ocd)). I advised nylon knickers that it was likely that she caused that walking through the store, and that it was quite a dust attractor due to static. She gave way and said that the boss has agreed a full refund but we have to return it as damaged, I said it's perfectly fine but whatever, I don't know if there's any legal ramifications of her stating it was "damaged" but if so she should have advised me. Anyway I'm happy and someone somewhere is probably going to get a bargain buying this perfectly fine camera They used to have a 16 day NO QUESTIONS ASKED guarantee, everytime I took something back they asked questions. Try the CHANGED MY MIND policy and see what happens.

Sent from my iPhone On 19 Apr 2017, at 14:37, Sarah Cocker wrote: In January I reserved a washing machine in store. I purchased the machine, given a receipt, and helped to the car by staff. A mistake made internally by the store meant that payment was not taken from the debit card. I was phoned by the store the next day and accused of 'stealing' a washing machine!!!! I explained I had a receipt and they asked my husband to check his bank to see if payment had been taken. I explained that my husband, being a HGV driver, was working away but I would ask him to look into it when he could. They continually called my mobile for the next 2 days still with accusations of 'theft' and saying that if I did not pay the member of staff would be sacked due to the mistake!! I asked them to stop hassling me - the only way they had my details was because I had reserved the item. The next week, the police called me about the 'stolen' goods. Once explained, they could not believe the store had taken this route. I said the way they had handled it was disgusting and said they could collect the machine and I would purchase an alternative one from a more reputable store. The police officer agreed that this was reasonable and said the store Manager Maria would be in touch within 14 days and if not, the case would be closed. I did not hear anything else until yesterday when a solicitors letter appeared about the 'goods stolen'. I have spoken to (in my opinion,) an extremely rude, unprofessional, unsympathetic, aggressive woman (Gillian Galpin) who has told me that tough - the payment must be made and I should not have 'believed' the police officer as he has no duristriction!!!! She also patronised me and talked over me continuously. When I asked her to be symapthetic to the way this was handled and my annoyance with the word 'theft' - she told me that she could not apply any personal feelings - when actually this is exactly what is called for!!! When asked for a copy of my conversation with her - surprisingly calls are not recorded in the Directors Office! I have emailed requesting an alternative colleague to take over the case (I put in nicely saying a personality clash rather than the my opinion of her customer service skills being zero) and am still waiting for a reply. Absolutely APPALLING way of handling things. YES - I have the goods but after being accused of theft on several occasions, being given advice from the police that Argos say I should not have believed (!) and being bullied by this company - obviously I am extremely unhappy. I would love a human with feelings, understanding and empathy to be able to handle a complaint and come to a resolution for both parties taking into consideration stress, trauma and the ridiculous allegations considering I have a proof of purchase and the error was made by a member of staff.

I ordered 2 white goods, i tried to cancel one of the items off the order, i was advised this would be sent over to the cancellations team and i would get a call the following day this never happened. I rang the day after to see if this had been cancelled to be told that they were waiting for correspondence from the supplier. I rang the following day to see if been cancelled to be told the last two operators hadn't cancelled.my order and i would be passed to the cancellations team now to do this. All in all 3 phone calls 3 different days and over a week to sort a issue out never again.

Ordered a oven and a hob broke with weeks , waited a month to get repaired so didn't bother and got a replacement oven and Argos couldn't deliver when they said they would then they delivered one didn't take the old one so we will never shop on line or in the shop itself ever again and I already read how bad reviews Argos is getting

Waited in all day on my one day off in months - Bank Holiday - didn't even go in the garden in case I missed delivery and get a text at 15:23 saying can't be delivered - why offer a same day service if you can't deliver, total joke! That's a day of my life I will never get back. Sad, sad service!

I have used Argos a lot in the past, and it has always been great. Very good customer service. BUT NO LONGER. My recent experience has been bruising. The new owners are a SNEAKY BUNCH. Comet were like that, and they went bankrupt. Customers are not as stupid as some of these retailers seem to think. I wait with interest to see how long this business lasts.

I was interested in buying new mobile phone. I would like to keep my old number because of my old contacts so I wanted to buy free SIMLOCK CARD phone. After choosing the model of phone, I went to till where I was serving by the manager of this store. This lady said that my card will be fit to this type of phone and I will find the help with the setting up this phone after buying. Of course it was different. I was served with the unpleasant method although using very polite form of question (Would you mind checking ...). I've got of course the card PAY AS YOU GO for which I needed to pay and which wasn't fit for the phone. When I returned to this store, the service said that the box is used because of opening (I need to check every item and I have 28 days for the refunding). The staff abused the role because they refused returning of changing this model. What can I do now? Actually saying if you do nothing, you will lost customers. Maybe you do not need the great experience with Sales?
