“Went in to buy a birthday cake from the bakery during my lunch hour. I arrived at 12:10pm. The bakery was unstaffed so I approached several Asda “colleagues” and the response was “sorry, not my department” every time. I walked to Customer Service who promised to put a call out over the PA. She did not!
I stood outside the bakery until 13:00 when someone arrived to start their shift. By this time my lunch break was over. I decided to wait for the cake and got back to work late, still not having eaten my lunch.
When I enquired about the cake I told them I would be popping in at lunchtime and no one told me that staff would be absent. Why was there no sign stating “out to lunch” or “closed”?”
“I shop at asda every couple of days. Can asda explain a sudden price hike in there just essential kitchen towels. Monday 3/10/2022 priced at £1.09. Today Wednesday 5/10/2022 priced at £1.50 that a price hike of 41p. I thought the just essential range was to help your customers with the cost of living. And before asda come back and say it was on rolled back. It has never been on roll back. WELL DONE ASDA.”
“Order online delivery. About £20 worth of item missing. Request a refund. Receive this reply from them. We’re sorry to hear you were not happy with everything you received. However, we could not approve your refund. We’ll use the information you passed us to make sure we improve.”
“Absolute shambles! Not enough manned checkouts, had to wait ages to get served which is not great if you have frozen food in your trolley. Items have been out of stock for several weeks. Customer service is very poor. 'Happy to help' slogan is a joke!”
“Your delivery drivers, Charles, went above and beyond today. I didn't realise he was deaf at first and I only mention it so that you compliment the right gentleman. He brought my shopping in, helped me unpack it and then managed to take the security tag off a bottle of gin which was needed for Saturday. I am unable to go out to the shops as I used to once upon a time and I am so grateful for the help I reveived. Please pass on my thanks. Regards Janet Lowe”
“Absolutely horrendous, won't be shopping with Asda again. Left us with no shopping which we was expecting today. This shopping is for my kids school lunches for the week, at nearly 7pm to tell us they cancelled it because they have problems with their drivers technology stuff absolute shambles. Don't get nowhere with customer services either. People go elsewhere they are a joke and don't care about their customers”
“Absolutely abysmal. Food was due at 9am. No show. App finally said it can't be delivered. Called at lunch to be told we should have had a call and it will be here at 2pm. No food by 4pm. App then says it cannot be delivered. Called customer service a second time. Will be refunded in 3-5 days. Absolute joke! Do not use! Wasted the whole Sunday as we had to stay indoors.”
“Time to shop elsewhere. Asda gone right down in my estimation. Used to be a good one stop shop for all my weekly essentials. Now, like everywhere else prices going up every week. Limited to their essential items, 3 pet customer, yet when it was smart price, there were no limits how much you could buy! Shopping now at Aldi and Lidl. Much better shopping experience, and a lot cheaper shopping bill 😀”
“Placed order for delivery on Thurs. 22.9.22 between 3 & 5. Did not receive order receipt so I looked at my account online only to find my order had been cancelled. No email or telephone call to explain the reason for cancelling. They have email address & 2 telephone numbers so no reason for not contacting me. I did not receive a "how did we do" email today, I wonder why? I pay for delivery pass, waste of money if I can't get the goods delivered!”
“Asda finally trying to be like tesco with the rewards app but unfortunately have fallen short on the technical side, you really should be thinking bigger numbers then 250k downloads as a customer service worker told me you expected. Should of done your homework more on this, cant scan a recipe in cant be used unless you have a smart phone and if its busy and it dont scan will people wait around for the help. Very disapointed asda”
“The asda app is pointless I have been locked out and cannot retrieve my password, why not just issue your loyal customers with a card instead like tesco, I will not use Asda again”
“I ordered groceries for home delivery as I'm a single mum with broken arms & unable to drive. The money was taken from my bank account & I expected my delivery as had notification of substitutes. My delivery slot was 7pm to 9pm, no sign of delivery and unable to contact customer services as closed. The following morning they say I can reebok but will have to pay again however won't get my money back shopping for 3 to 5 days, I don't have the money for this. I'd not even got milk or bread or any basic essentials & now have to wait up to 5 days to be able to do a shop because asda have taken the c money without providing any shopping, there was also no notification until 12 hours later. This is absolutely disgusting. Not everyone has enough money to do this. Very unhelpful customer service too.”
“Asda rewards app - what about us loyal shoppers without smartphones.Disgraceful discrimination. You are losing thousands of customers due to this like all the other companies using apps”
“Ordered on line they did not even communicate to say my order was not coming even though my app said 1 away
No reason except shop issue!
I went to the store today they had less than a third of the goods I had ordered
!!!!!! Honesty and talking best policy
I think they should look at Amazon
Who have been doing it less that Asda!!”
“I haven’t been using Asda very long but last week I had a delivery driver at the door and he refused to come in the door I had to take all the items inside you might think it’s because of Covid but I know it’s not he was Ryde arrogant and now I’m looking at a different supermarket no one has ever done that before. I won’t recommend this supermarket anymore then they had the cheek to empty me as ‘ How did we do’”
“Asda have introduced a shocking trick to get us all to buy the last day of BB dated products under the guise of stopping waste!! For example, grapes no longer have a BB date on them, which means that you do not know if they are 10 days or one day before the BB runs out. I do not want to buy items that may not last more than a day or so at most. They have also justified this by saying that staff will know what those dates are. Really? Well if the staff know then we the public want to also. Aldi get up to this as well. Thank goodness that Morrisons don't do this as their fresh products, mostly fruit but some veg is about off anyway.”
“Just received our asda order. Order was complete, the veg chosen for us was beautifully fresh and The driver was very curtious. Thank you from 211 Grimsby Road 😁”
“I have always been quite happy with Asda, but this morning as made me quite mad and pondering how their brain works.
I went to do my weekly shop and went to the vegetable Isle to get some carrots
There was ready bagged carrots in plastic bags, and pick your own, so being conscious that they are trying to cut down on plastic I picked my own 12 large carrots, then nothing to put them in, I put them loose in my basket, thinking they must bag them at the checkout, I also picked up a cauliflower, in a PLASTIC BAG as they all was, got to checkout and the carrots came through loose, I asked the girl if I could have a bag for them and she said no because they are cutting down on plastic, (I'm all for this, but what is wrong with a paper bag,)
So I said I agree but I have bought a cauliflower that DON'T need a plastic bag and it's one item but it's got one on
SO I CARNT SEE THE SENSE, 12 carrots and they have no alternative bags to take them home but a single cauliflower needs a plastic bag, and bananas in a plastic bag,”
