“Bad service. Customer service callers all sing from different hymn sheets. Promised a full refund and told to keep or donate food purchased. No refund appeared. A couple of weeks later, Customer services denied all knowledge of the promised refund. Further emails and was promised another manager would call.... this never happened. Such bad service. After using asda delivery for so many years, this has stopped me wanting to ever use asda again.”
“DISGUSTING COMPANY.
Home delivery service is appalling. I received a voucher from my local councils hardship fund and I could choose which supermarket and I thought I'd go for an Asda voucher. Big regret. Made an order which was accepted but never arrived at the allocated dates and times, on phoning the customer service number I explained that I was using a valid asda voucher issued from my local councils hardship fund and that I had no other money, and unable to leave my home due to health conditions and needed essentials, the person I spoke with was extremely rude to the point of mocking me and so was not helpful at all, and so I ended the call in tears. I tried reordering over several days with the same thing happening with my order either not arriving or being cancelled. I tried on several more occasions to phone the helpline and on every occasion was met with total unhelpful staff. I then also sent several email enquiries and complaints via the complaints portal, I received confirmation these had been received but never received any correspondence back from Asda whatsoever. With that I now had an Asda Voucher that could not be changed and no money I had no other option than to spend days continuing to try to reorder and eventually my order arrived..
Being unable to leave my home due to health conditions and with needing essentials and no money apart from the Asda voucher with nothing but rude unhelpful staff when calling the so called HEPLINE and all my email complaints ignored was a desperate situation I hope I never have to be in again. So obviously I will never take my custom to Asda and will always voice my disgusting treatment from now on. To this day I never received any correspondence back from Asda following any of the occasions I I contacted Asda with this.”
“Online order was delivered with no milk at all- how can there be no milk! To top it all off the delivery was late, driver ignorant and customer “services” just as bad.
Won’t use Asda ever again.”
“Staff on till do not even say good morning - no smile at all and no acknowledgement - just flinging the shopping all over the show - they must be unhappy in the job that they do - very rude they need staff training”
“Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Dont even want to give you 1 star after…
Dont even want to give you 1 star after the stress you have caused me.
I'm a single mum with two children one who is two and autistic and will only drink milk however I placed a online delivery order which you took payment of 123.86 and never delivered my order so my son was without milk.....its now Monday im on the phone to them they wont put me through too a manager and saying they are gonna investigate it further ive spoken to three different advisors since saturday and all they keep doing is repeating themselves and now the advisor called RON said the status is showing as delivered!!! I'm absolutely furious ive recieved no delivery and no refund and im now left with no money in my account to feed my children how is this fair ..it as caused my anxiety to sky rocket!”
“About a week ago I attempted to order a click and collect. There was an issue with Asdas online payment system and they attempted to take the payment 3 times with no successful order. They are now holding onto a total of £180 pending in my bank account. I have spoken with customer service who lied to me saying I’d have it back in 24-48 hours. Emailing customer service hasn’t done anything. My anxiety and stress is through the roof. I can’t sleep and my work has suffered. They have left me with nothing for over a week and I’ve struggled to feed my kids who are 1 & 3. At no point when speaking to customer service did anyone offer me financial support of a voucher to get the essentials for my kids. This week I have only eaten one meal a day because I haven’t been able to buy any food. Thankfully the children go to crèche so they have been fed properly.
Aweek on and no one in Asda wants to help me and I’ve still not had my money back. Feeling hopeless and as if this will never get resolved.”
“By far the worst shop to shop
By far the worst shop to shop. You will NEVER get what you ordered. Always substitutes with every single order. It's also not very professional when they answer the phone and don't say a word, just stay silent.”
“I have recently visited Minworth and chelmsley wood stores.both are dirty. Empty shelves and staff better suited working as far away from people as humanly possible.”
“I have an asda delivery every week how come for 2 weeks asda doesn't have any muller strawberry greek style yogurt which l have every week but every other supermarket has and how come the supermarket that delivers to me which is big for 2 weeks doesn't have a simple cheese sandwich”
“I visit Asda at Manor Walks every Monday early morning. As a widower living on my own I try to buy only what I need for a week. I am constantly finding empty shelves and having to ask staff if products are available, ie 1ltr cravendale milk. If this situation doesn't improve I am afraid after many years I will be shopping elsewhere.”

“Ordered 2 x blankets from George, paid for next day delivery.
Never turned up still waiting 6 days later, customer services links they give you do not work.
Phone number cuts off all the time.
Last time I make a purchase from Asda George!”
“Purchased an APPLE gift card on 15/06/25 for £10, I attempted to add it to my Apple account whilst at the store, it failed to work, i immediately spoke to customer services at ASDA Tunstall, they were completely disinterested and stated that I need to raise the issue with Apple.
Shocking service, I’m glad I only asked for £10 on the card now and not £250, if not resolved it will be a buyer beware advertisement so that others avoid trying to purchase gift cards from Asda.”
“Bad customer service. Overcharged for a single item that was meant to be 70p by £140, and can't get a response of the money credited back against the order.
Id be very careful shopping online if short of money as after this ive heard im not the only one it's happened too!”
“I turned to their services with high hopes of gaining investment expertise and professional advice, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. In just under a month, I lost $212,500, which was both devastating and frustrating. Reflecting on it now, I realize I should have done more due diligence before getting involved.
That said, I’m grateful I contacted Mrs Olivia and her team their support came through when I needed it most. Thanks to their timely assistance, I was able to recover my lost funds. I truly appreciate their invaluable help throughout the process.”
“Unacceptable Customer Service and Broken Promises - Still Awaiting a Response to Complaint Lodged on 05/03/2025.
Let me preface this by stating that my patience has well and truly expired. On March 5th, 2025, I submitted a formal complaint detailing a truly abysmal experience at the ASDA Hyson Green branch on February 26th, 2025. (For ASDA's reference, the complaint outlined significant operational inefficiencies regarding the delayed opening of manned tills and the dismissive attitude of staff.)
Upon submitting my complaint, I received an automated response assuring me that I would receive a reply within 24 hours. Today, May 1st, 2025 – nearly two months later – I am still waiting. This complete and utter failure to even acknowledge, let alone address, a serious customer grievance speaks volumes about ASDA's commitment to customer service.
The initial incident at the Hyson Green branch was infuriating enough, demonstrating a clear disregard for customer convenience and a baffling operational policy. However, ASDA's subsequent silence is frankly insulting. To promise a response within 24 hours and then completely ignore a customer for this length of time is beyond unacceptable; it's a blatant display of contempt.
It's clear that ASDA's automated systems are more efficient at making empty promises than their actual customer service team is at addressing legitimate concerns. If this is how ASDA treats loyal customers who take the time to lodge formal complaints, I dread to think how they handle less vocal issues.
My initial complaint outlined significant issues that warrant investigation and rectification. ASDA's decision to simply ignore it suggests a culture of indifference and a lack of accountability.
Consider this my public and updated complaint: not only did I experience poor service in-store, but ASDA has now compounded that with their utter failure to honour their commitment to respond. This is not the behaviour of a reputable retailer, and I strongly urge other customers to consider whether their custom is truly valued by this organisation.
Two months and counting for a promised 24-hour response. Absolutely disgraceful.”
