“I placed my first Asda Online order, for a delivery of champagne for a party. Paid for delivery.
Due for delivery yesterday but at nine in the evening received a message saying "due to circumstances beyond our control we've unfortunately had to cancel your order."
No further attempt to sort this, no email or message saying please contact us, or can we contact you to sort out the mess-up. Basically no customer service, just a message suggesting I rebook my order.
After a twenty minute call to a very helpful lady in the Philippines I did get it sorted, but frankly it should have come from Asda to me, not the other way round.”
“Again made an online order and money was taken from my account. 3 days later, received an email saying product out of stock. This has happened numerous times now so won’t be ordering again as it will take me upto a week to get my money back.”
“My online delivery order was cancelled by Asda with no explanation and 4 days later I am still waiting on my payment to be refunded - they took the payment at 9am and groceries were to be delivered betwee 5-7pm and I received an email at 3.45am the following day saying that due to unforseen circumstances my groceries would not be delivered! I'd kinda guessed that already!! This has happened 3 times in 6 weeks and is just not good enough! Without my refund I obviously cannot buy the groceries I need. Used Asda for over 30yrs but I'm seriously considering using a different store.”
“23 substitutes, bleach packed with fresh bakery products, thick ice whereby you couldn’t even see food. Sent three emails. None answered. Would never order again. Disgraceful service.”
“The on lune service is shocking they do not send what you order instead sending cheap substitutes or things you have never ordered. Or items they have forgotten, out of date products broken eggs. The list goes on,”
“Went into Asda Burgh Heath. Bought a few items that came to less then £5. My friend went to the desk to buy cigarettes and as we left a women named Rita very rudely and aggressively came up to my face and accused me of stealing. She then proceeded to go tell the security guard and I felt ashamed and very embarrassed. After proving my innocence with a receipt she rolled her eyes and told me to leave. As I am a retail worker myself I know this is completely unacceptable and you CANT do this without any proof. I’m disgusted and will never return.”
“Over half my shopping has substitutes today. I have substitutes regularly but today has been a joke. If something is out of stock simply update your site and state out of stock.
Totally frustrated.”
“I bought a Asda lasagne there was no point putting cheese on the top of it if you are only going to sprinkle 6 strands of cheese on the top every lasagne was the same on the shelf this is most disappointing talk about trying to save money not impressed at all and neither are my kids”
“Went to Asda Rooley Lane Bradford bought a phone marked up at £ 70 was £80 bought it was charged £80 went to customer service was treat so badly by rude ignorant staff basically blaming me for not reading SEL properly it was under product asked for refund rude staff member said can’t you read sel isn’t that phone well it was under phone I bought so who’s fault is it I won’t ever shop Asda again”
“Had a great delivery experience with home delivery first time round so re-booked and someone called me on my mobile from a number staring with 011 - that's an overseas code. He asked me to answer security questions and I refused pointing out that it was an unsecured mobile and he was calling from outside the UK. They then cancelled my second order. Waste of space, won't be shopping with ASDA again.”
“Had to return a kettle to the Asda loving chesterfield store as it was faulty (wobbly base). Dealt with by a lovely girl on the check but she had to check some with a supervisor called Andrea! She was the worst retail assistant I have ever come across with no customer service skills what so ever. Would not help with trying to see if any other stores had the kettle in and then just walked off and left the embarrassed assistant to issue a refund. Come on Asda we expect better than this from you”
“I was unfortunate enough to have used Asda online shopping. The first time they replaced VEGAN food with VEGETARIAN food. Big mistake. Then we were asked to give them a 2nd chance. Even bigger mistake. Many errors on their behalf. Over charging being the biggest one. Once we eventually got our money back they asked if we would give them a chance to prove they can get it right. WELL. Stupidly we used them again ( after all they wouldn't refund the cost of our yearly delivery pass) and they f*#£+d up AGAIN what a surprise NOT!!! not only did they not deliver 11 ordered items but it seems they charged us for the privilege of them not having the items in stock. Again over charging. Asda is only interested in money they don't seem to give a toss about their customers. So PLEASE do yourself a favour DONT USE ASDA ONLINE SHOPPING OR DELIVERY. It really isn't worth it.”
“Disappointed with the home delivery service we received this evening, we had a very rude driver who complained about our drive and that it was a trip hazard. He placed the food boxes by the door. My husband politely asked him to shuffle the boxes forward a tad as he struggled to reach and un pack due to having a disability (1 arm) he flung the boxes at my husband. When my husband had finished un packing he picked up the boxes and stormed off. He hardly spoke a word of English and when he did he was vile. As a new cu just coming from tesco this is very disappointing. This isnt the first time we have had a rude driver. We never had this with tesco drivers. Disappointing as we can't fault the food.”
“Purchased a pack of four Asda cheese scones, when sliced the inside of each one was black, taking them back tomorrow 28th March let's see there what there responce will be, I'll report back.”
“Keighley, West Yorkshire Asda, employ a home delivery driver whose name is Arshad. He is the rudest most unhelpful and incompetent driver I've ever had the misfortune to encounter. I asked him for a little help checking my order as my hands are severely arthritic. He replied "tough" and left with a smirk on his face.
Morrison's and Tesco's drivers are far superior and very obliging and can't do enough for you.
Avoid Asda home delivery at all costs and don't go through the ghastly experience I had with them.”
“Today I bought a Garnier brand ash blonde hair dye and this evening my hair turned an Auburn shade. Not the style advertised on the packaging. False hope and not impressed.”
“Home delivery was the most stressful shopping experience of my life! Driver called me and I immediately came down to get my shopping to find there was no one there. I then waited outside in the cold for 40mins, looked for the driver at other near locations and had 2 relatively useless conversations with customer service over the phone who were unable to help in any meaningful way! Now tracking to Aldi to get the shopping I needed so thanks for that Asda!”
