Great auction site It seems that some sellers don't understand the importance of providing accurate information about the items they are selling, however, my overall impression is positive. Clean website, intuitive design, easy to use. Excellent support! That's, at least for me quite important. Interesting and unique objects appear from time to time.

In spite of the many negative reviews, nothing went wrong with my purchase, and international overseas delivery was achieved in a very reasonable time in spite of the Coronavirus.

Beware sellers. catawiki are very cleverly showing tracking as not recognised to allow them to keep you money for an additional 2 weeks. It's a tin pot company that should be avoided at all costs.

I questioned one of the auctioneers, he didn't respond. I then followed up a week later and received notification that after 4 1/2 years and 2,500 items I was no longer welcomed on the platform! What kind of company does this? I'd understand if I was aggressive or swore, I didn't. Sadly this is for questioning an auctioneer who doesn't like me! How immature can someone be?!

As auction sites go, this one is not as bad as others can be, but there is a learning curve... There are always risks associated with buying at auction, and I think people kind of always forget that until there is a problem... I have sold and bought over 100 items on catawiki over the last few years, at first I was a bit puzzled coming from the world of Ebay.com. Catawiki does not work the same, and I think this might explain the comments below. Catawiki doesn't operate a "no questions asked policy" like eBay. Buyers and sellers are expected to communicate and agree. Catawiki will only intervene in last resort. Over the years, I have also experienced a few issues with a couple of lots mostly due to shipping issues which as such have nothing to do with Catawiki. Catawiki doesn't store items, it doesn't ship them, it evaluates the items using the same pictures buyers see during the auction. All the handling is done by sellers. It is true that their customer service is slow, but all my issues were resolved nevertheless and I never had a problem recovering paid money. For this to go smoothly, I always follow the catawiki process: - contact the seller, describing the issue, and ask for a resolution. - tell catawiki immediately that there is something wrong, you can log a ticket via the website's help section or telephone them. I found phoning works better, the telephone number is displayed when you click the "I still need help" button at the bottom of the help articles. If you have done both steps, you can assume all parties are aware, from this point, if you and the seller cannot agree, catawiki will step in and decide what to do. Customer service was always courteous and helpful. They usually look at the case, and provided you have followed the process, will provide a fair resolution. I know that in the cancel culture we live in people tend to use excessive language quickly if something doesn't go their way, but the words "scam" or "con" are in complete contradiction with my experience of the site.

They mobbing and discriminating against people displaying items from Central and Eastern Europe. on the one hand, they want to post something from you and then they permanently reject it. Western Europeans take everything, even very weak works.

Catawiki is stealing money! Probably their business like that. They wait until they raise money after selling something at auction, and then cancel your account, and the money is left to them. Over 500 euros stole from me. The most real thieves! The hoaxers! No Comments on Emails Not Responding! Be carefull. Choose other auctions where you'll be safe!

There is no info on their site as how to get in touch. No email or telephone number. I did find an email address and twice wrote but have no response. Reserves can only be put on if you think your item is worth over 200 euros under that amout you have to take pot luck as to how much you will achieve. I put on an item that I had bought from Catawiki last year for over 100 euros. It was put in the wrong catagory so only sold for 10 euros

You are promised the things you buy there will be shipped within 1-3 days from paying. But if not, well, nobody cares, or catawiki sure not. The seller did not ship the items, wants more money for the post than we had agreed on before, and I CAN NOT REACH ANYONE at catawiki, only getting idiot automatic emails. The items would have been gifts, but now it is getting late to get it, also the seller's behaviour is "interesting". It seems a nightmare to contact any real person at catawiki to get my money back. I do not recommend them!

Seller sold earrings with misleading subscription, but color and clarity was worse quality that described. The certificate is misleading. Been working with classification of gemstone most of my life. Seller refuse refund. Catawiki refuse to get involved with the reason that they pay the seller after 3 days. I send the compliant to CataWiki on the 3th day, but it took 6 days for Catawiki to look at my complaint. CataWiki is selling on a a .dk site so I have properly to take them to court in Copenhagen. I would not trust that company. It is not safe and you risk loose a lot of money, when getting bad quality and paying top prices. Look at the pictures. Is this SI2, light pink. No it is I1, faint pink

user-fa71fc9 in Germany sold me a fossil agglomerate. It was a fake (fossils crudely cemented together) and the cement was pulverized during transit. Seller refused to refund or even submit a postal claim (required by seller in international shipping) and Catawiki refuses to help. LOST $350 - Catawiki is a SCAM!!!

It is a big scam! A dodgy website was set up to scam money. Their experts are too self centered, selfish and not not trustworthy with their decisions. They are racist and they could be discrimitave towards to the sellers.
