Clark’s Shoes still falling apart- be warned No refund Shoes Fell apart, hydrolysis apparently, see bbc watchdog report, I thought they had sorted the problem out, but they haven’t, paid over £80 for a pair of shoes that fell apart first time they were worn. Refund? No, exchange? No. Offered a £10 voucher having been sold shoes that were not fit for purpose. As you can see from the response from Clark’s, as the shoes were purchased last winter, more than 12 months ago, they are only prepared to consider a refund if the shoes are under six months old. Check your cupboards and wardrobes for any Clarks shoes you might have put away for later use - even if they're brand new. You may well, find that they're rotting away, crumbling or leaving a sticky gooey mess where you thought there was a nice new pair of shoes. There are thousands of people in the same boat as me just google Clark’s Shoes fall apart To see dozens of examples. There's a well-documented problem with hundreds of thousands of Clarks shoes, caused by their use of unsuitable materials for the soles, this causes them to rot and fall apart, thanks to something called hydrolysis. Problem is, Clarks are doing practically nothing for their unhappy customers, even though they know all about it. If you thought Clarks was a good reputable British company turning out good quality shoes, think again. They're nearly all cheap imports now, sold at inflated prices, and poor quality issues like this are just laughed off by the company, who don't give a damn about the money people have wasted on their expensive self-destructing shoes. Bear that in mind when you're next buying shoes for yourself or your children. Clarks has become all about high prices, poor quality, and high profits - customers come a very poor second. They sell expensive shoes that are not fit for purpose, ignoring their obligations to provide goods that are fit for purpose as they know it is too time consuming and costly to pursue the matter through the courts or trading standard in the U.K under the consumer rights act. My response is to use social media to warn other members of the public of their Poor Customer Care policies and recommend a consumer boycott of their products until they comply with their obligations to their customers.

I have found it impossible to make a return. There is evidently a problem with their returns portal. I have been trying since early July. Be careful. Your shoes better fit or you’re sol. They have really hurt their product. I will NEVER order Clark’s on line ever again. Poor customer service and satisfaction.

After my 15 emails I still didn’t get back my £229 refund they ignored me and are refusing to give my money back…Only automated response saying they will get in touch with you soon but so far no one got back to me there is not another option to contact them. If anyone is experiencing the same issue please let me know. The way they treat their customers is horrific.

I also should have read these reviews before I placed an order. After placing an order of over $300.00 and not receiving an email to confirm that my order left the warehouse, I called to see where it is. I was told that the product is in stock but has not left the warehouse after a week. Was told it was Purlators fault since they are behind their deliveries. BUT how can purlator be behind when Clark’s never gave the order to them. When I asked for a refund they told me they don’t give Refunds!! They seem to only take your money. Now resorting to legal channels. You can only use the pandemic when it’s the pandemic problem. Just radalsotjat the new CEO that was hired last year quit after 9 months. Even he could not help them.

Do not trust Clarks Shoe’s return policy. You have to fight to get your money back. I’m 2 months now waiting for my refund, and they don’t return your emails or phone calls. They now have a new phone number and it’s automated only, so you’re not able to talk to anyone.

Like the other reviews. I'm in Canada, ordered from Clarks, shoes didn't fit, so I printed the return label and sent them back. Tracking shows they were delivered 3 weeks ago yet I'm still waiting for a refund. Their phone lines are "down for maintenance" for the past two weeks, but even before that no one ever answers the phone during business hours. You just get a message saying their offices are closed. They do not respond to emails of any kind. I can't believe a company can run with this model of customer service, it's shocking, never experienced anything like this from a big name like Clarks. I will never buy anything from them again.

This Company has The Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced. Returned an item and a month later still no credit and when I tried following up - no one answers the phone, responds to emails or Facebook messages. I have been trying to contact them for over 2.5 weeks. Unbelievable. I will never buy anything from this Company again, and will take legal action if I do not receive refund.

They used to make good shoes and have decent customer service, both have plummeted in the past years. I have 7 pairs, all the same size. Treated rudely during an order 2 years ago and corporate sent a 50% off coupon that did not work and I had to contact them again. Just ordered again and the shoes were terribly undersized. The website would not print a return label. 45 minutes waiting for customer service to be told they should be able to do it tomorrow. Talked to a supervisor who was condescending and patronizing, talking to me as if I were a teenager. They must be making a lot of money because they no longer care about customers or have consistent shoes.

I spent good $$$$ on Clark shoes. I wore a pair last night to my grandson's birthday party in a nice restaurant....I was humiliated when they laterally fell off my feet, the soles falling apart and the uppers peeling off the soles. I had to tape them together with first aid tape. When I called they said they were over 3 years and too bad. I have had shoes & boots that were cheaper & lasted years beyond 3...I only wore them a half dozen times.

I have worn Clarks shoes since I was a young child. That's well over 50 years. Whenever I do find a store now I always walk away empty handed. The quality has gone. I would put the quality of the offerings on a par with Shoezone but not at Shoezone prices. Cheap lightweight tat is what is on offer today. The sturdy Clarks shoe has gone. No wonder most of the stores are gone now too. It seems extremely bad management decisions have been made in recent years. It is such a shame.

I will never again purchase Clarks again. As a Caribbean man I have always worn Clarks as school shoes and that is when Clarks were made in the UK with quality and now Clark’s are just trash. I have recent Clarks that have dry rotted and unable to withstand its time due to poor quality. Clarks and Ballys have been shoes made Caribbean school children have worn because of the high quality but now Clarks are trash and the company has lost their credibility for profits. Clarks you have lost a long time supporter.

This has bees so unfair, my daughter gave me a Clark’s voucher for Christmas 2021 for £50. I had several problems in my life and then came the pandemic I move address and as you know all things on transport of address go a little under control. I found the voucher and I went to the shop to purchase a pair of shoes, they told me that the voucher has pass the date ( what it is no food) I wrote to them presenting my situation the haven’t bother to answer , so they got the money plus interest and they do not had a minimum consideration. ,do not buy nothing or get vouchers

This is truly the worst company I have ever dealt with. I returned two pairs of shoes from an online purchase on 04 November 2022 and it is now 28 December and I still have not been credited for the return. I have called twice and spent probably an hour total on hold and still have not spoken with anyone one.

Placed order for shoes 5th December for collection on or before 9th December it’s now 14th can’t get answered on phone no one responds to emails, call it customer service, should call it the great unanswered never again

I ordered 2 pair of shoes and returned 1. Now after 2 months I still didn't get a refund or any reaction on my emails (only computer answers) . Very terrible custumer service! There is no phonenumber and not possible to speak or mail with a human person. I will never order here again.

I ordered a pair of the "Soft Footbed Orthopedic Arch-Support Women's Flower Hollow Out Sandals". They were too loose and the sole was very hard. I have received 3 email replies (I requested a refund) from Clarksonline (AKA creativecraft@handicraftservice.com). They've requested many photos, the order # (which I've sent every time), and other stall tactics. Their latest email said IF I have a full refund, I'll need to pay the return shipping, about 30 US dollars or more. They'll help me apply for a maximum refund of 20%. They also wrote, "You continue to use the goods and help you solve the problem as soon as possible. Can you see that?" Very rude, terrible customer service! I will never order from them again. I realize I'm out the $36.97. I hope I save others from having the same frustration and disappointment! Don't order from them!

Problemas with shipping. 10 days after purchasing a pair of shoes and having paid for express delivery I have neither info nor the shoes. Very poor client service too. Currently unasble to slove the problem.

Do not trust this company - criminal! Deducts cost of order on 20th july!!! Until today no delivery! Status goes between “in Bearbeitung” zu “ausgeführt”. At the moment again in Bearbeitung. No answers on mails on support.clerks.eu. Terrible experience. Today 17.8.22 no shoes, no answer!

I will give clarks shose customer service 0. I ordered 3 pairs of shoes online and I never received it, I tried to call them everyday they never take my phone call. I also sent them email tell them about the issue and they said in 7-10 days they will contact me back but I never receive any contact from them. SO SAD IT BEEN A MONTH NOW 😢 I will never buy from this brand again.
