I’ve been to this café many times, but honestly, the experience leaves a lot to be desired. The service isn’t great — some of the baristas seem inexperienced or uninterested, which makes the whole experience feel unwelcoming. But the biggest issue is the cleanliness. The place is very dirty. There are crumbs all over the tables, and most of the tables feel sticky to the touch. The floors are dirty, and the bathrooms are in really bad shape — not somewhere you’d want to use. The chairs and seats are also covered in crumbs and dirt, and some of them look so unclean that you’re almost afraid to sit down because you might get dirty. It’s disappointing because the café has potential, but the lack of cleanliness and inconsistent service really take away from the overall experience. A bit more attention to hygiene and better staff training would make a huge difference.

The service as my local Costa is usually very good, but today the food which was supposed to be heated was cold, service was very slow over 20 mins to get served. Then had to go back three times to ask for items typically put on tray (serviettes, straw for drinks and cutlery).

Feel for the scant staff in Costa Coffee Whitstable today stood there for at least 15 Minute while the staff member took the order and payment, made the coffees while maintaining her cool in this stressful environment. Costa charging top dollar for their coffees, but not enough staff to run these places you need a double whisky after watching her work

I was stood in the cue waiting to be served dancing a cake with my coffee Then I noticed a fly walking over the cakes in display cabinet That put me off straight away I reported it to staff behind counter but they did nothing about it and just carried on pity the person who purchased the cakes The cake display cabinet should be enclosed so nothing can get in very poor will not be buying anymore cakes from Costa

Costa coffee , well I varied it you get a good one one not as to who’s making it . Most of the sandwiches are white bread , there was no brown toast no butter . No healthy meals either . And no pizza beachside it’s seasonal lol 😂 what a shambles

Went to Costa in Hanley, Stoke on Trent with my two children. Ordered a Kit Kat Frappe for my 9 year old which the poster advertises as coming with a Free Malteaser Bunny and which cost £4.45 for a small sized one along with 3 portions of toast and 2 other large drinks. When the young girl made the drink I asked where the Bunny was. She said ‘we’ve run out’. I said ‘can my daughter have some marshmallows … please’. She said ‘that will cost extra’. I responded ‘but you’ve run out of the Bunnies surely you can give her some marshmallows’. I said ‘you should have told me when I ordered’. She said ‘I did’. I said ‘what did I say’ as I really hadn’t taken in that information if she had said so. There was no apology, smile, enthusiasm etc. How harsh, uncaring and petty to refuse giving out 2 or 3 marshmallows for my daughter who was disappointed about not getting the chocolate bunny. Maybe they need to stock up better in future! as someone who works in retail myself on the checkouts I make a point of being polite, friendly and apologetic. Usually I find the staff in Costa to be lovely. Not this time!

I am a regular customer at Costa and all of the staff members are very friendly and professional. I went in today after work to get a drink and I was served by a blonde girl - I think her name was Rebecca. She gave very unprofessional and unfriendly vibes when I was only greeted with a nasty look with unpleasant expression on her face. I greeted her and I feel as if I was very calm and friendly however she seemed very annoyed and irritated with me and that made me very uncomfortable. I was going to sit in but I decided that I no longer wanted do due to this interaction. I understand that working within the customer service industry can be difficult and customers can especially add to this challenge, I know this given that I currently work with the public too. I don’t want to assume that this worker always behaves like this with her customers - maybe she had an unpleasant experience with another customer before me but there is no need to mistreat any other customers . I am disheartened by this situation as I spent a lot of money at this Costa (Wakefield Westgate) and I don’t appreciate the way I was spoken to and the nasty looks I was given.

Have been using Costa for years but strength of coffee seems to have taken a turn for the worse, now wishy washy. Looks like Starbucks here we come. Sorry Costa!

We went to the Leeds trinity Costa store, the place was quite busy, which working in retail I understand, I ordered 2 lattes, plus food, the food was ready long before the drinks, but what I hate more than anything is when they don't place the cup catching the coffee directly under, only one side was going in the cup, the other was going directly down the waste tray, I've told your baristas before about it, only to get an annoyed look from them, this needs sorting.

I am in here every week and I'm so fed up with them never washing the tables. Last week a little girl sneezed and wiped it all over the table with her hand. That family left and another sat there. I thought if only you knew what's all over the table. I rarely see anyone cleaning. I am sitting here now at a dirty table . Also, they run out of things and don't replace them for weeks on end . I like the love bars, but only the fruity one. They've not had them for weeks now, on ly the other flavours.

It took over 20 minutes to be served. We ordered small americanos, we ended up with large. Toilet male and female discussing, should be cleaned on a more regular basis. Struggled with the smell and trying to get toilet paper off my feet. Discussing. Sort it out.

Costa in Great Yarmouth looks great. However, the staff is slow and they prefer to talk to each other instead to speed up making coffee and ordering. Especially in the morning Sunday service with two people in the queue waiting time for coffee was far to slow.

I asked for a decaf oat latte with an extra shot. What I was served, at the branch next to John Lewis in Stratfordwas, way short of what I get at other coffee shops! Did not taste like coffee despite "an extra shot"!. All I could taste was the hideous brand of milk that you use. The two stars are for making it hot as I requested

First of all the guy making the drinks had in a very dirty top covered in splashes .that didn’t bode well with me . Second of all , The decaf tea was awful. Very bitter I couldn’t drink it . And thirdly , I don’t know what they’ve done to their cheese and ham toasty as it was absolutely disgusting. The cheese looked like sick, and the so called ham looked like a plastic pice of ham . I physically couldn’t eat it . But I didn’t want to seem rude to my guest as they had paid for my meal . I ate the crusts. And left the tea after a few sips . Coming here has reminded me why I don’t like eating here . Never again . Awful . And even the shortbread biscuits were awful .

The cappuccino at Costa is awful! It tastes the same as Gregg's and McDonald 's. There's a right twang to it. Won't be having coffee at any of them again!
