“This was my third and last pair of Ecco shoes. These were all purchased in HK.
With all three pairs, the soles disintegrated.
They’re comfortable but this is a serious defect. The uppers are in great condition and the soles are worn.
I’d say the composite they used to make the soles is bad.
I’m done with ECCO.”
“I bought a pair of sandals... 10 days later the Velcro started to come off. I bought them from a store while traveling and they don’t have that store in my state. I Contacted customer service and they told me that if I didn’t take them back to where I purchased them and they were not purchased from their website there was nothing they could do. I paid $146. For these shoes!!!
I will never purchase from them again.

“Have bought 3 pairs of ECCO shoes over the years. Love the styling but the material used for the soles is CLEARLY defective. After 2-3 years the soles on every pair have disintegrated, literally coming apart in chunks. I have never experienced that in any other brand. I googled it and it is a common problem with ECCO shoes which is ridiculous, especially considering these are not cheap shoes. See photos of my last and final pair of ECCOs. Notice the upper leather in perfect condition. Rarely worn. But the soles falling apart! This happened to EVERY pair.”
“Mid-sole on my Ecco hiking boots gave up. Had them for years. I returned them and Ecco send me a coupon that covered a replacement pair. I have had several pairs of casual/dress shoes from Ecco and everything is so much more comfortable than the competition, it is unbelievable. Great shoes, polite employees.”
“I bought it online and I did test with it around home. It seem it's comfortable to wear it. Until I went to hiking and feel started hurting and I exchanged the shoes so I can finish with the hiking. I do not recommended this shoes. What more I talked with one of their customer service and they are not friendly to accept my return. Their customer service isn't helpful at all and they are just mean and do not want to help.”
“My first Ecco shoes. It’s a loafer with suade in brown. I’ve worn it daily for over two years, because they’re comfortable. I’m 85 years old, and my wife and I go for walks almost daily for at least 15 minutes plus for daily routine. I use an eraser and brush almost daily, and they still look new. I worked for Florsheim Shoe Company for over seven years, and know when shoes fit well. Ecco makes good shoes.”
“Wow, I’m really upset with This company! I really love the shoes. But i always have issues buying shoes online and when My card doesn’t match my billing address I still get charge! It is so annoying calling customer service to refund my money! Today I called costumer service and Didn’t even care about my issue! Im very disappointed. Not even a discount would give me to buy the pair! I hope they fix that extra charging just because there was an error with the order. Once you tried over and over more transactions are made until your bank account gets overdraft!

“After years of convincing my wife that my Ecco's were worth the money, she finally ordered a pair. When they got here they were 2 sizes too small. They never gave her free shipping back. So we lost 40.00 and no shoes. Watch your back.”
“I heard these shoes were great so I was excited to order a pair. They didn't fit. It was my mistake for not checking the return policy before ordering. They say you can return shoes for free in a store. None of the certified Ecco sellers in Utah do returns. So my only option was to pay for shipping to return the shoes. $25 shipping was the cheapest option. Probably never buying these shoes again.”
“I am a handicapped person in a wheelchair most of the time with broken feet and bad kneecaps. Tadd insult to injury, add plantar fascitist to both feet and diabetes in the mix and I never have a good day. I was desperate for foot relief and went to many stores, none of which were able to help me. 99% of them were do it yourself. Very bad for me. I found an ECCO store in Wesley Chapel, FL and we decided to go in. Niko helped me every step of the way. He was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. In the end, I found the perfect sneaker (Hi-Top) with his help. He even helped me with special inserts to make them more comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about the store, its excellent products (and stylish, too), and of course, Niko's help. I bought the sneakers and they were even on sale. A bargain at any price, IMHO. I HIGHLY advise ECCO shoes and make sure to ask for Niko if you go to their shop in Wesley Chapel, FL.”

Second replacement pair stitching around box toe gave out before 1 year. They stitched them back up, but it has only lasted three weeks. Poor quality for very expensive shoes.”
“Don’t bother buying your shoes online- mine developed a fault after 2 months of normal wear. Sent them back for replacement- they use the cheapest shipping company possible- 6 weeks in it still hasn’t arrived at their site yet. Ridiculous when your paying $200 for a pair of shoes.”

“Developed a fault in the sole of the shoe with a vertical slit appearing within 6 months of casually wearing them - brought the shoes back to the store where they subsequently damaged them further to beyond the point of use. Was offered a 50% discount on subsequent shoes bought - Did not avail of this discount as I had no intent of buying faulty shoes again or buying any items in that shop again. On reflection should have cited the EU consumer law relating to guarantees and returns which guarantees items for up to 2 years provided it's a fault from fair use and gotten a free pair”

I find Ecco shoes extremely comfortable, but invariably I end up throwing them away before I have worn them much.

“ZERO STARS. Only putting 1* to make it let me post the review. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes. 3 weeks later I received 1 baseball cap! There was no return label and they expect me to pay return postage to China!!! Do not order anything from this firm. Have asked for refund but not holding my breath.”
