I ordered a coat from them that was too big so I had to return it. My return arrived at the UK depot on the 1st of December so I assumed that I will be seeing my money in the next few days after that. After 2 weeks of no refund, I contacted Esprit customer support to ask what was going on. I was told that after the parcel reaches their UK depot, it usually takes another 14 days for it to reach Germany. I got in touch with them multiple times after that and all they were able to say was nonsense about how much busier than usual they are and that parcels are now taking longer than usual. It's now been 2 months of no refund and I'm starting to lose hope that I'll ever see my money back.”
“Tried to return an item. You have to email them for permission and instructions! They kept saying that they didn’t recognise the order number despite me sending photos! I had to write repeatedly and then they eventually said that it was now outside their 30 day return window! Even though it wasn’t. Bunch of con artists. Avoid this company.”

I made a return at the start of December and have still not received my refund. I have been passed around, given forms to complete, told the money will be refunded immediately, told a manager would call me, told they are ‘already in contact with the relevant department’….absolutely every line possible without giving me a refund. I’m at a loss now as to what to do.”

However, shortly after a few months the bottoms (soles) of the boots now have come apart and flap when i walk and my boots get wet inside and get little rocks, the part that surprises me is that BOTH boots are doing it. “Really happy with items ordered, ordered 2 different sizes, returned some and that’s when the fun started, took a month after they received the item for them to give me a refund. Kept blaming brexit. I did eventually get refund though, such a shame as I like the brand but will be very wary of ordering again. Beware!”

“I placed an order in December and received it on 9th of January, some of the items were too big and I had to send them back. The return was received on 13th of January according to Parcel Force but after month and a half and multiple emails esprit is still sending the same generic email that returns are delayed due to Brexit by 2-4 weeks, even though it has been a lot longer now. I will contact the relevant ombudsman as I see no other alternative. If there are a lot of people doing the same Esprit might be investigated. Hope that will get me my refund.”
“Terrible!!! I have recently sent 4 items back and just received an email that they will refund me for only 1 because they have received only 1!!!!! Where are the other 3? All were sent in one box with the return slip correctly ticked the items that I returned! I have to say that it happened to me second time and this time I will deffinitely stop shopping with them. There is no customer service, a woman I spoke to hang up when I demanded my money, they have to understand that customers wilI be upset after something like this. It's not my responsibility to check and make sure that the shop refunded me correctly, it't THEIR JOB!!!! If I didn't check my emails and bank account I wouldn't know about it and they don't care! I would be ashamed of explanation that they receive so many parcels every day etc. They are not the only shop receiving returns every day, if you don't have scanners working properly maybe you should not trade at all? Think about it Esprit. I asked how do they process the returns? They must have the parcels, return slips etc to process it, so where is my parcel containing the other 3 items? First time I called they were unable to give any answer, just said that this is not something what doesn't happens on usual basis, well I said it clearly DOES, if it happened to me again, I just also read other reviews and someone described the same situation. It's just unbelievable, will never shop again, AVOID!!!!”
