“Appalling Customer Service and Unacceptable Practices
The customer service on this platform is utterly non-existent. When you encounter a problem, you are completely on your own. They consistently deny any involvement in cases, refuse to respond to inquiries, and offer nothing but copy-and-paste answers that clearly indicate no one is actually reading or engaging with your concerns.
Moreover, this platform permits the publication of 100% defamatory content in reviews, which is a blatant violation of their own policies, including the Anti-Discrimination Policy, guidelines on Leaving a Review, Terms of Use, Creating and Uploading Content, and the Prohibited Items Policy. They allow buyers to abuse the Purchase Protection Programme, effectively protecting individuals who engage in criminal behaviour, even when it is clear and proven that the buyer is lying.
Counterfeit items are flooding the marketplace, and despite numerous reports, there appears to be no interest in removing these fraudulent listings. Scammers are multiplying their shops, misleading customers with cheap, fake products, which severely reduces the opportunities for genuine businesses to reach their target customers.
The behaviour exhibited by this platform is entirely unacceptable. Their customer service is not only unhelpful but also appears uninterested in fulfilling the responsibilities for which they are compensated with your money. I strongly urge anyone considering this website to stay well away.”

Etsy Seller support is useless. If you are a seller, you will understand this. Even when talking with "people" from Etsy Support, it is like getting an answer from an IA, 90s bot, or maybe a monkey.
They only send you automated and pre-setted answers. You can't solve any mid-complex issue with them, which is super sad.”
“I was excited to place my first order. $1500 for 5 items from three vendors. All three orders were cancelled, no details as to why, no process to fix. They suggested placing the orders individually, and now my account is suspended - again no reason, no process for fixing, nothing. Worst customer service of any site I've ever used. No way to connect with a real person to resolve anything. I'm stuck emailing individual vendors asking them if they can help or if I can order outside the platform. This is a TERRIBLE site - really disappointed after everything I've heard about them.”

“Absolutely disgusted with Etsy's lack of due diligence for their customers. I've been a customer on Etsy for years and I received threatening and abusive messages from a seller. Etsy advised me to report the shop as they seen the messages from my screenshots and stated they were inappropriate and not acceptable by Etsy policies. I reported the shop over 2 weeks ago and chased Etsy every other day but they disconnect my calls and online chat saying someone will email me but it never happens. Disgusted with lack of customer service and care”

“As an Etsy Seller for 2 years, I have always followed Etsys rules and policies. I was a Star Seller; made all of my products myself; and my business was starting to grow. I had heard for months from several other sellers that they had been kicked off without explanation from Etsy. I thought to myself "they must have violated some rule or policy but I'll be fine because I'm following the rules". One morning I woke up to find an email from Etsy stating my acct had been suspended, without explanation. In disbelief, I filled out the form to try to get the suspension lifted... even though I had no idea why it was suspended to begin with. The following day I was told my shop would not be reinstated and the suspension was permanent. Again, there was no explanation at all. So, I certainly can't recommend Etsy to Sellers and these type of practices imact buyers as well. I suggest you look for other marketplaces”

Etsy should be named the most horrible criminal company on planet earth. At most it seems like Indian sellers are ensured to thrive on this platform as its management discriminates against all others. The staff behind the suspension of accounts are Indians at most and they allow illegal Indian sellers to operate while legit sellers are banned from the platform.
The outcome is legit sellers lose their hard earned money, their investment into the platform, their hard spent time and efforts and huge disappointments further experience the shockingly non responsiveness of Etsy.”
