“Have ordered a few items from this company some lovely some not so good. Really expensive but not always quality you would reasonably expect for the price. Recently received email advertising £20 off new season clothing with promo code. Ordered top , but promo code not accepted. No explanation as to why . Emailed company only to be told I had to spend £99 to qualify I could not see this anywhere so asked the question. I was directed to bottom of email between Facebook and Twitter icons . In script SO small I actually had to get magnifying glass from daughters bedroom (couldn’t even read with glasses on) I eventually found it . Very naughty! Madeleine told me they were sorry I was disappointed. I’m not disappointed, I’m a bit cross to be honest ! And it take ages to get your order delivered !!”

“This company is very expensive and not everything is of a good quality. Swim wear and beach dresses are good ... recently purchased a pair of silver grey kid suede trousers.... £299.95 . Look great but ripped on bottom ( bum ) area on second time of wearing. The suede was so fine beautiful in fact but you cannot sit down in them on anything other than a soft fabric chair or stand up all the time whilst wearing as the suede just rips if it comes near anything harder. Ie leather car bucket seats as happened to me. I would say I’m a person who looks after her clothes I spend a lot on fashion but these trousers were a definite waste of money. Not worth the expense. I have also ordered several dresses all have been returned.”

“Madeleine had beautiful clothes just a few years ago. Cashmere coat, stylish Jumpers and trouser sets lovely shoes. I loved their things but they were a bit expensive but classy.. Suddenly the clothes were like biker clothes black and weird then very very bright and common looking . The prices increased quite a lot so I haven't bought for about two years. They should have stuck to classy with a twist instead of the rubbish they started to put out. I'm very sad about how theyve gone and not surprised they were in trouble.”

“Sadly the clothes are very overpriced for the quality. I have been dissatisfied with the quality of many items and some that have been ok have not washed well. Poorly made and overpriced”

“I ordered two velour suits size 8 just to be safe. I typically wear a 6. The zip up jacket is too small, the pants are too baggy. Trying the “easy” return isn’t easy at all. Not sure how I will get the merchandise back!”

“Every order takes forever to get to me - when I phone which is helpful it doesn’t make sense!! Still haven’t clothes sent and it goes on and on! No tracking as such and they are ready to take my money! Take a leaf out of Reiss book they are on the ball compared to you - such a shame! I’ve waited 3 weeks for a top for my daughter now another 3 weeks you cannot go on like this!”

“I have an outstanding order for a trouser suit going back to February this year and still not received anything even an update or apology Every time I call I get the same message that they are having some technical problems I used to buy most of my clothes from Madeleine but have lost all confidence and respect for this company Please refund my money which I am entitled too !!!”

“Really disappointing. Used to buy most of my wardrobe from Madeleine . Clothes a lot more expensive now. Hardly any clothes made from cotton or wool Designs not very inspirational. Brochures not so appealing. It is tough for businesses but given the cost of the clothes the brochures etc look as if it is for the cheaper end of the market. Endless dumbing down of standards what a shame.”

“I have been trying for 3 weeks to return a white pair of jeans that are way too short. The other 2 items were fine. I have done everything and cannot get a return label out of them and give them a week each time. Groundhog day - terrible return policy and these clothes are not cheap - paid full price for all 3 times ......big timewaster - you need to know they have issues Cory Beuerle”

“Returning items next to impossible. The DHL in my area said they do not give receipts for receiving a return and did not provide insurance. Then she told me “I’m doing you a favor” by returning the item. 2 jackets, 1 too large the smaller jacket’s linen was sewed improperly so the front pleats didn’t hanged evenly. $800 spent for a loss of $400 and money to spend getting the jackets altered.”

“They send big bulky catalogues very frequently, sometimes twice a week. The clothes are ugly. I have requested that they stop sending the catalogues multiple times but they just keep coming. How wasteful!!!!”

“Order my dress for my daughter’s wedding when I went yesterday to pick up it was a horrible experience. Customer service was horrible. My dress was custom made and they wanted me to pay for alterations. The seamstress took my measurements and the dress was tight. I paid almost 3000 thousand dollars for the dress. The owner promised me to do the alterations but no seamstress was available. The wedding is in two weeks and no help was given. If you are looking for dress do not go to them service is poor.”

“I ordered a dress and it was all okay, albeit overpriced for the quality. Next time I ordered, all of the items were too large (even though I went by the sizing guide.) Because of their shipping method, I was not able to obtain a return label. I had originally wanted an exchange, but after the inability to return, I just wanted a refund. I had to pay $69 to do a foreign country return. I am still waiting for my credit, and it has been two months. The order was $400!!”

“I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. Having a terrible time trying to return merchandise that was the wrong size. Spent 600.00 dollars and I've been a month trying to get a return label and they're saying another month to refund my money!ad experience!”
