I have an outstanding order for a trouser suit going back to February this year and still not received anything even an update or apology Every time I call I get the same message that they are having some technical problems I used to buy most of my clothes from Madeleine but have lost all confidence and respect for this company Please refund my money which I am entitled too !!!

Really disappointing. Used to buy most of my wardrobe from Madeleine . Clothes a lot more expensive now. Hardly any clothes made from cotton or wool Designs not very inspirational. Brochures not so appealing. It is tough for businesses but given the cost of the clothes the brochures etc look as if it is for the cheaper end of the market. Endless dumbing down of standards what a shame.

I have been trying for 3 weeks to return a white pair of jeans that are way too short. The other 2 items were fine. I have done everything and cannot get a return label out of them and give them a week each time. Groundhog day - terrible return policy and these clothes are not cheap - paid full price for all 3 times ......big timewaster - you need to know they have issues Cory Beuerle

No one answers the phone preferred an item three weeks ago ! Nothing received. Will Never order again from this company !

Returning items next to impossible. The DHL in my area said they do not give receipts for receiving a return and did not provide insurance. Then she told me “I’m doing you a favor” by returning the item. 2 jackets, 1 too large the smaller jacket’s linen was sewed improperly so the front pleats didn’t hanged evenly. $800 spent for a loss of $400 and money to spend getting the jackets altered.

They send big bulky catalogues very frequently, sometimes twice a week. The clothes are ugly. I have requested that they stop sending the catalogues multiple times but they just keep coming. How wasteful!!!!

Order my dress for my daughter’s wedding when I went yesterday to pick up it was a horrible experience. Customer service was horrible. My dress was custom made and they wanted me to pay for alterations. The seamstress took my measurements and the dress was tight. I paid almost 3000 thousand dollars for the dress. The owner promised me to do the alterations but no seamstress was available. The wedding is in two weeks and no help was given. If you are looking for dress do not go to them service is poor.

I ordered a dress and it was all okay, albeit overpriced for the quality. Next time I ordered, all of the items were too large (even though I went by the sizing guide.) Because of their shipping method, I was not able to obtain a return label. I had originally wanted an exchange, but after the inability to return, I just wanted a refund. I had to pay $69 to do a foreign country return. I am still waiting for my credit, and it has been two months. The order was $400!!

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. Having a terrible time trying to return merchandise that was the wrong size. Spent 600.00 dollars and I've been a month trying to get a return label and they're saying another month to refund my money!ad experience!

I agree with the others. This is a nightmare to return an item that doesn't fit (too small). DHL is terrible to deal with. Don't fall for "free returns". Returns at all is nonexistent!!

This company is a JOKE I ordered a pair of shorts ($125.00) that are about 3 sizes too small. I have tried to return them but their system will not take my order #. I have sent email after email with no response and their customer service phone line drops your call. Do yourself a favor and stay clear from them.

The catalogue is spiffy, the customer service non-existent, and the clothes were either too small or too large. I was surprised that the return is through DSL, not the usual UPS or USPS that most concerns use. It was complicated finding a DSL office. With hope there will no issues with my funds being refunded. I may be writing an even more scathing follow-up review. In short, I will not order from them again.

The catalog seems only to attract affluent privileged straight women with perfect bodies and all young and mostly white. Not the world I live. Pleases stop the mailings

The clothing is fine but the customer service is appalling, no e-mails updating order details. An item might arrive in a week or six weeks and tut is impossible to get hold of anyone on the telephone. Sadly I would not recommend this company.

I ordered two items and only one item came. I waited a week or two as I thought maybe it was on back order. Three weeks later I received an email stating that I had received both items and asked for a review. It was then I let them know that had not received my blouse. They sent me two emails asking for the details and requested that I send a photo of the box without the item. I didn't take a photo as I didn't think there was a problem. I requested the blouse or a refund. I have not received a reply. It is really frustrating. I have never experienced this type of customer treatment before.

I bought a really nice shirt for £120.00 (!!!) and it turned out to be of very bad quality after just one mild wash. I have placed a few more orders but have returned them as they fell short of my size, making me think that they prefer to cater to ultra skinny women only (I’m a uk size 10) The refund also took long to arrive. Not worth the hassle and anxiety.
