So disappointed and upset. I have purchased many beautiful items of quality clothing over a number of years without problem. In September I ordered two jumpers in the sale which have never arrived. Two emails and two phone calls later I have not received either replacement items or a refund. I have been advised there is an investigation but the person on the phone was most unhelpful. What happened to "the customer is always right" standard of service? I have never before encountered such appalling standards of service. I have contacted my credit card company and even they are being told Madeleine disputes the claim! This is the worst treatment I have ever received and I am horrified, upset and bitterly disappointed as well as being out of pocket! Beware of dealing with this company it is nothing like the old Madeleine.

I sent an item back and they confirmed they had it on the 22nd August I have called them 6 times now for my refund but nothing received. When asking to speak to a manager I was told they don’t talk to customers.. it’s disgusting and I will be taking further action. They used to be such a good company.

Would leave no stars if possible. How sad. Madeleine sold the most beautiful clothes- treating myself at saletime. Like others, they deducted £45 for an item that I had returned. Similar excuses after 5 emails and 5 phone calls.......refund on it's way!!!!!!! Must be a way to stop them taking people' money under false pretences.

Do not buy from this company as you will not receive a refund. The item was returned on the 18th of July after having had great difficulty getting a returned label. I have called their costumer service numerous times being assured that the refund was on its way but still not received.

This company is a disgrace. Having taken my money they then immediately sent an email to say they don’t know when my order will be delivered as they have no VAT registered in UK. This to me seems like dishonest trading. Do not use them.

August 15th I received an email saying my returns had been processed it’s the 12th September and I still have not received my credit. I phoned on the 5th of this month and was told it would be in my bank by 9th it has not arrived. I will be taking this matter further. This was a great company what has happened?

I tried to return the items within the 14 day window but the online returns were down. I called and was told I'd receive a returns label by the end of the week. I didn't receive anything. I called again, and was told that the returns window was extended to September and that I'd receive my label by then. Still nothing. Emailed them, no response after 10 days. What's going on?? Is this a scam?

BE AWARE NO REFUNDS - I have ordered a lot of clothes in the past from Madeliene but never again. I purchased items in July, returned some joggers straight away but cannot get my refund of £118, I have made numerous calls, sent emails but no response. The refund service is shameful, they really do not care how upset you are, I have proof of return, even an email to say your return is being processed but still no luck. Their response is just 'you will have to wait' or 'there is nothing in your account', I don't think I have ever come across such poor service. There are a lot of bad reviews on Trustpilot -

Still waiting for my 2 refunds 5 weeks on It is disgusting that company like Madeleine should be allowed to keep your money for so long If they do this to every refund due they must either get interest on the money or use the said money to keep their stock afloat So disappointing as they used to be good in all aspect

Would give no stars if I could. Been buying from this company for years. Products lovely but costly, only bought at sale time. Tried to order recently but cannot even confirm if that was received. No one at home it seems!!!!!! Looks like the website was thought up by 5 year olds. Stop producing so many expensive catalogues and get the company working properly. This will be the next one to go in to liquidation.

I have tried to return Madeleine items for the past month to no avail using their usual returns system . Apparently ,they have tech problems .I think it must be more than that. I have given them 3 different e mail addresses for them to send returns labels .Nothing .Neither has the label been sent to my postal address.I have said I will pay to return the items to Germany or the UK but they are unable to give me an address .They say the don’t have one in the UK and the on in Germany is just an office ! Meanwhile they are sitting on £270 of my money . I have cancelled further orders with this company

BEWARE! I have been a VIP customer and fan of Madeleine for many years and all my purchases have been much admired and lasted well . However I have been thoroughly frustrated and annoyed with a recent order and will no longer purchase anything from the Company until I feel confident they can fulfil their orders and honour returns as they have always done in the past. In May I ordered a swimsuit was told it would arrive within two weeks. It arrived beginning of July!! I tried it on, it was very badly made on the bust so I packed it up immediately to Return. I contacted Madeleine to get a Return Label as you know the Company offers 'free returns' ..now in my 3rd week I am still waiting for my label ! Have phoned four times and am constantly told there is 'a technical issue' . This is a ridiculous situation that the Company cannot email a return label, so I have now asked for the address to send my return back myself...this has cost over £5. I have phoned again today and been told I should have a label next week! I feel very much that I am being 'fobbed off' yet again. I want my full refund and refund on the postage and it is a disgrace that I have to wait all this time. I certainly have lost confidence in the admin/financial side of the Company. Sorry Madeleine I hate writing like this ...and have never written such a review before but you cannot take so long to deal with Returns and Refunds. ..

Very poor quality material at high prices. I bought two blouses; one blue, one ecru. Worn once of each and they ripped in exactly the same place. Phoned customer helpline and he was very unhelpful and then asked what I wanted him to do about it.

Avoid at all costs. I placed two orders back in April this year and neither arrived. I received a follow up email advising that they could not fulfill but they did not issue a refund. Attempts to resolve via customer services result in very rude advisors telling me they can't help, emails and recorded delivery letters are ignored. Luckily one of the orders was place through Pay pal who have just upheld my complaint and refunded my money. Unfortunately I did not pay via this method for the second order so it looks like I may well have lost £550.

I placed an order in mid April this year. Since then I have phoned the UK 0203 number so many times asking why I haven't had any notification of dispatch, only to be fobbed off every time ('its with EVRI, its up to them', 'its stuck in customs' etc. and on and on the excuses go..). I have had no email acknowledgement either. They were fast to take the money from my account immediately upon placing the order, which really annoyed me, as most companies only take payment when the item is actually sent out. I have lost all confidence in this company and would advise anyone not order.

I ordered a dress from Madeleine a month ago, money was taken from my account immediately but not a word from the company about the order. Have sent emails but no response. Have tried ringing but after initial message line goes dead. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

I have an outstanding order for a trouser suit going back to February this year and still not received anything even an update or apology Every time I call I get the same message that they are having some technical problems I used to buy most of my clothes from Madeleine but have lost all confidence and respect for this company Please refund my money which I am entitled too !!!

Madeleine had beautiful clothes just a few years ago. Cashmere coat, stylish Jumpers and trouser sets lovely shoes. I loved their things but they were a bit expensive but classy.. Suddenly the clothes were like biker clothes black and weird then very very bright and common looking . The prices increased quite a lot so I haven't bought for about two years. They should have stuck to classy with a twist instead of the rubbish they started to put out. I'm very sad about how theyve gone and not surprised they were in trouble.

I have had some nice articles of clothing from Madeleine. Would hate to see them stop trading. I have also bought from Peter Hahn for many years & they have ceased trading with the UK.
