“This company is a JOKE I ordered a pair of shorts ($125.00) that are about 3 sizes too small. I have tried to return them but their system will not take my order #. I have sent email after email with no response and their customer service phone line drops your call. Do yourself a favor and stay clear from them.”

“The catalogue is spiffy, the customer service non-existent, and the clothes were either too small or too large. I was surprised that the return is through DSL, not the usual UPS or USPS that most concerns use. It was complicated finding a DSL office. With hope there will no issues with my funds being refunded. I may be writing an even more scathing follow-up review. In short, I will not order from them again.”

“Use this company!!! even though the rating aren't the greatest! I had NO problems whatsoever. The customer service email was prompt within 5 minutes, thank you Megan! Megan navigated me through finding my size and supplied me with a chart since I was a little puzzled on sizing. She helped me consistently that day until my order was placed. Thank you for your support Megan!!! My 2 pair of shorts and blouse arrived yesterday. Shipping time was faster than many of my other purchases ordered that day. I love the clothing. The fit is excellent, like a well-tailored garment. It lays so well. The fabric is also high in quality. I am SO pleased. Madeleine is one of my new top picks to order from. You definitely get more than you pay for. Well worth it! So happy!”

“Sadly the clothes are very overpriced for the quality. I have been dissatisfied with the quality of many items and some that have been ok have not washed well. Poorly made and overpriced”

“Madeleine clothing is beautifully fashioned, with unusual fashion details. I recently purchased black jean with fringing at the hem line and a 7/8 length. This was great for me as I'm only 5 foot - so they were full length on me! They do warn you when an item is on 'back order' which means it can take 5 weeks for it to arrive. When an item is 'in stock' it still takes up to 10 days to arrive. But actually, the clothing is well worth the wait.”

“The clothing is fine but the customer service is appalling, no e-mails updating order details. An item might arrive in a week or six weeks and tut is impossible to get hold of anyone on the telephone. Sadly I would not recommend this company.”

“I ordered two items and only one item came. I waited a week or two as I thought maybe it was on back order. Three weeks later I received an email stating that I had received both items and asked for a review. It was then I let them know that had not received my blouse. They sent me two emails asking for the details and requested that I send a photo of the box without the item. I didn't take a photo as I didn't think there was a problem. I requested the blouse or a refund. I have not received a reply. It is really frustrating. I have never experienced this type of customer treatment before.”

“I bought a really nice shirt for £120.00 (!!!) and it turned out to be of very bad quality after just one mild wash. I have placed a few more orders but have returned them as they fell short of my size, making me think that they prefer to cater to ultra skinny women only (I’m a uk size 10) The refund also took long to arrive. Not worth the hassle and anxiety.”

“HORRIBLE. Placed a large order on wedsite 11/21/2021/ . As soon as I placed the order I saw that I had been charged "fees & duties" The website clearly say "free shipping and returns" I immediately tried to call customer service and received a message saying they were having issues with the site". I did this for several days as well as sending an email which said i should have divided the order into 2 orders to avoid the "duties or fees' Although i responded that was not the solution I never received a reply. Finally I got someone on their call service (in Europe!!!) The person was totally not helpful almost to the point "well too bad". I tried to get a shipping label to return the whole order to no avail. So I finally called American Express as I had charged the order. They are investigating, thank goodness! This is CRAZY. I have ordered before and never had a problem. And now I see others reporting the same issue.”

“Terrible customer service. I have repeatedly attempted to return an order, but the online portal doesn't recognize the order number, phone lines are 'down' when trying to call, and there is no response via email. Waste of a $300 coat that was poorly made - absolutely horrendous and avoid at all costs.”

“I ordered pants and a blouse. I received them in about 1 1-2 weeks so that was acceptable. Both my pieces fit perfect so didn’t have to worry about the return. Thought the quality of the clothes was good. I love their catalogs and planned to order again but these reviews scare me.”

“I ordered two velour suits size 8 just to be safe. I typically wear a 6. The zip up jacket is too small, the pants are too baggy. Trying the “easy” return isn’t easy at all. Not sure how I will get the merchandise back!”

“How can they send me weekly classy catalogues but fail everywhere else. Non working phones. Told me the day after I ordered a much needed coat that they cancelled the order but gave no reason. I waited 2 months, wrote them and they did email that they cancelled but with no explanation. They said order it again. After reading reviews I will not order. What a waste to design, make & mail nice catalogues with no company behind it. Just a scam to get credit card numbers?? Thank you for your reviews!!!”

“HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!! I will NEVER order from them again. There are no commercial invoices or any invoice, for that matter, when your pkg arrives! Heaven forbid that you have to return! They never answer their phones at ANY time of day or night. I've tried every hour on the hour in fact. You can't return anything unless you have a commercial invoice which is not included and no one will answer the phone so you can get one. I order from overseas all the time through My Theresa and Matches Fashion, Net-a- Portez, Farfetch etc... they answer their phones and include everything you need to return something with ease. This is a horrible company with NO customer Service and the clothes end up being disappointing in quality. Buyer beware and DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!”

“If I could rate as ZERO I would. This was my first order and merchandise was damaged when I received and too small. No one answers the phone when I call and the website does not recognize my order number. Have not received an answer to my email. Never, never, never again will I order from them.”
