Watford branch Really slow service if at all. They claim that everything is delayed due to short of staff but still takes orders. Been told to return at different hours or days, wait for an hour to be attended and sent home without work done. Stay away from this place as it will consume your time and nothing will be done in time. I will give a 0 stars if possible.

I will not be going back to National tyres Had full set of tyres fitted lefto drive to Skegness, traffic was heavy so never got up to 50mph for about 40 miles when I did got a bad vibration thought I'm not turning back now, so carried on at under 50mph next day had to blow passenger front tyre up. Luckily e had both cars at the caravan so didn't use mine for the stay phoned National tyres in Rotherham told me to go their branch in Skegness, but thought no I'm taking it back to where the tyres had been fitted. I drove back at the speed I felt comfortable. Took the car back to Rotherham branch told them about the vibration and the tyre going down they rebalanced the front tyre then told the rim wasn't sealing and I had to have my rim repaired. Didn't strip the tyre to see if there was any problem. I whent away thinking why did he not strip the tyre, so I whent to my local tyre fitter who I would have used but was on holiday at the time. He took the tye off said the rim had not been cleaned. Did the job in 10 mins £10 done no leaks. Thanks National Tyres for abad job done

I was on holiday in Fife and urgently needed two front tyres as they were a bit worn and one had developed a rapidly deflating puncture. I went online and ordered two tyres with National at my nearest branch in Broughty Ferry, Dundee with an appointment to fit them at 10am the next day. I inflated my tyre and drove the 50 minutes to the branch the next day and arrived promptly. On arrival the staff member told me that my tyres had not been delivered in the 10am delivery, I asked when they might arrive and he said ‘anytime up to 5pm’ as I did not want to wait all day I pressed him for a delivery time and he phoned his logistics who eventually answered and informed him they would not arrive until the next day. (I’m glad I never waited for them) I spoke to the logistics person and complained that I had driven for 50 minutes and would have to go back and return the next day, she offered me a discount of £11.30, I explained that it would not cover my petrol, never mind mileage and a lost morning and she conferred with her supervisor but refused to offer anything further. I cancelled to order and got put through to their complaints but they refused to offer me any compensation or discount for my expenses and inconvenience. Luckily I managed to book an appointment with Kwik Fit Dundee within an hour and they fitted my tyres right away, better tyres, better value and much better service, thank goodness for them.

Terrible. I went to them today with request of front wheel alignment. They said, they decided not to do wheel alignment for Honda CRV any more. Reason, this model is causing some problems for them. I can't believe.

After checking on line for prices for 2 tyres and a service I decided to make the booking in person at Grimsby branch as I live only 5 mins away and arrange that both items were done at the same time. Logical and most convenient for all parties. Surprise!!! No do it online or pay an extra £20 per tyre doing it face to face at the branch. Just how stupid is that!!!!. Bigger surprise to you is that I now shall go else where even if I have to pay a little more.

At the beginning of September I went to my local NTA to book my mot.,earliest date available was 16th Sept due to no mot inspector .Went along on the 16th and was told no inspector come back tomorrow which I did ,guess what , no mot inspector . Given the manager the benefit of the doubt I re-booked for the 21st . The day before my mot was due I phoned the garage to check if it was still on . I was told it could not been done at the appointed time { 09:00 } possibly not until 11:00 or 12:00 pm and could I leave the car. I could not do this and I said I would wait . I then had a phone call saying it could be done until the following week. I said forget it I will go elsewhere. In total I drove 26 miles back and forth and wasted a lot of time and money .Needless to say i will not be using NTA again. I have only given a rating of one star because at least the manager tried his best .

Over the past 15 years, we have been using National tyres and have replaced all our tyres with them. Keeping business local is something we take pride in doing. This is particularly relevant to my recent car, which has had 10 tyres replaced within 58k miles (£110 per tyre so a reasonable investment). Our most recent experience suggests, however, that customer retention is not at the heart of the organisation, and they are only interested in making money. As a rule, I have purchased a tyre guarantee and have used it when I experienced a slow puncture. This time on a tyre with 4.5/5mm tread left, so it was a good tyre still. The puncture was on the edge of the wall and could not be repaired. I had anticipated that the tyre would need to be replaced at this point but glad I had the guarantee, so I thought! However to find that in fact the guarantee will only cover 40% of the cost as it is worn was sort of understanable, however then being told it would cost me £110 to replace under the guarantee, when I had only paid £104 for the Bridgestone tyres, left me somewhat surprised. Being told the price is not based on what you paid, but the cost of the list price of the tyre. Therefore, I decided to ask if the cost of replacing the 2 front tyres could be a way of a contribution being used; I was informed that the deal would be based on the internet price( As they cant discount in store tyres lower than the internet). Wow a company that competes with itself.. Therefore, I would lose my 40% contribution, and so in theory I have no guarantee and so just wasted my money. In my opinion, I would not bother purchasing the tyre guarantee service, since it is not worth the paper on which it is printed. In my opinion, you should save your money and go to a different retailer because a tyre is a tyre, and until recently, it was the customer service that had me returning, but now that has been lost... Well done, National Tyres..

National tyres auto Centre Bexleyheath sold me a battery in January 2021 and promised 30,000 starts but what they forgot to mention is that if the battery does not start but needs a recharge then their promise of 30,000 starts is still valid!!! Watch out don't trust a word they say...

I was appalled at the level of customer… I was appalled at the level of customer service after I turned up at the Aylesbury branch of this company for my MOT. I booked it online for 09.00. I needed to drop my daughter off at work for nine and as it took me half an hour to get into Aylesbury it was the best time to make use of my journey. I arrived at National 10 minutes late i.e. 09.10 as the roads around Aylesbury are in a huge mess of closed roads and diversions and I did have delays Although my family with three cars and a small fleet of vans had used the company and its branches for years I was told that as I was now too late for the MOT now and did I not get the message that they left me last night at 18.00. I hadn't but apparently, they had requested me to come at 08.45 and not the 09.00 that I had booked. They then said that the best they could now offer was the next day. If you need us at 8.45 don't accept a booking for 09.00. If ten minutes makes a day's difference to any customer never mind a good established customer don't expect customer loyalty. I canceled my appointment and my family or my business will not use this firm again - a pity but I know that any customer is so hard to get and too easy to lose but then I'm not an employee. MESSAGE - Don't trust your online booking for National Aylesbury - and they expect you to fit in with them and its not for them to fit in with you, the customer.

Very bad ,offhand treatment by numerous staff at the end of the phone. Despite being instructed to go to them by tyre insurance company Mapfre to replace a punctured tyre that was not repairable they told me they could not come out to me to replace the tyre and told me to drive it to them. Having explained that the tyre was not runflat and it would have to be changed where it was, they said i would have to wait 3-5 days, and when asked how to drive the car on a flat tyre the lady said she did not know as she didnt drive. They then said they did not have mobile tyre fitters at that depot. When i suggested taking the wheel off and taking it to them they said they had to see the complete car as it was covered by insurance. They would not accept photos and after much discussion finally agreed to send a mobile fitter out the next day, but phoned back to say they could not find a replacement tyre in the whole of uk but offered another which would not match. At this point i gave up and went back to the insurer and asked if i could use another local mobile tyre fitter and they agreed. They got a tyre next day and fitted it without drama. Shocking , awful service from National Tyres !

Appointment booked for tracking. Turned up on time. They seemed to have no idea I had a booking and said I'd have to wait about an hour. Told them no thanks. He didn't even apologise! Drove home, spent 20 mins on hold to ask for a refund, to be cut off. Rang them back and someone actually said sorry finally and arranged a refund. So wasted nearly two hours of my day to find out for myself that I should have used another company. Really just leave them to go bust, they don't deserve anyones business in this competitive climate. The website is however very good!

Never left any sort of review anywere before but here goes.. had tyres from national tyres Avon make .. 2000 miles later an due for mot. Mot inspector found inside tyre walls on both new Avon’s perished and separating .. rang national for them to say you have to buy 2 more tyres so we can send these off for manufacturer to inspect !!!!!!!! To even think of replacing them or some sort of mileage refund !!!!! Surely the technicians eye and the mot inspectors experience is enough !!!!! Fuming

Hello, I used that guys from "National tyres" to do my front wheel alignment and all I can say is that I will never go back to them! My car it's worse than it use to be before I went to them. The steering wheel pulls straight to the right, which didn't happen before I went to them to fix my alignment. I will never recommend them to any of my friends or family members.

Do not trust their on line booking system it does not talk to the depot. Had a booking for 8.30 am made over 1 week ago, arrived early (7.45) and waited , other people turn up doors open and they walk in before me. I que, then get told there are 5 people being done before me. Was told their system is ancient and does not talk to the depot. That its not his fault, basically tough, what's the point of having a booking system if there is not 2 way communication between the online dept and depots. Was not even apologised too, the attitude was that its my fault for booking online. Used my right to walk away, don't trust them. The attitude to the customer is poor, the customer experience is terrible

Over priced, you have to get the parts they say. Quoted 540 for new caliper new pads new disc. Didnt need a new disc. I bought them online caliper for 30 quid new pads 10 pounds fitted for 60 pounds at an independent garage. Saving of 440 quid.

Had mot done on the Isle of Wight. Well let me tell you.the price for repairs was higher than the main dealership. Plus on item on the advisory was not faulty as apparently there is a bit of play on the bush. Never again. I made a big mistake.rubber monkeys.not mechanics. Like I’m no storey teller.

Dreadful experience with Watford branch to replace 2 tyres. Customer care is non-existant. No welcome from 2 scowling mechanics, no apologies for not running anywhere near on time so I was out of that hell hole nearly 3 hours after arriving on time. They just ignored me and seemed to take pleasure in taking their time. Avoid this place. I thought they would drag their feet more if I attempted to complain so I said nothing.

Pity I can't put zero stars or even minus. My partner took her car into National Tyres Taunton this morning with a sticking rear brake,(car has been parked up for a few days) rang me to say it needs new discs pads and a caliper, so I went over and asked the mechanic to let me have the old units so I could check to see if they needed replacing, was told I could have discs and pads but not caliper as there was a surcharge on it, I am a landrover mechanic of many years and know that the handbrake mechanism on the caliper can jam with not used for a period of time and just need a bit of oil and twisting to free up again, I suspect the reason behind not letting me see the caliper was there was nothing wrong with it and there's a nice profit to be made, I can't believe that National tyres employees are still doing this practice of saying things need replacing when they dont so they can bump their monthly figures up. Disgraceful.
