If you're considering using Vayama Travel, stop right there. My experience with this company was nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge everyone to steer clear of their so-called services. Here's what happened: My flight was canceled, and Vayama never informed me. I only found out by sheer luck a week before the scheduled departure. This could have completely derailed my travel plans. When I tried to contact them, it was an exercise in futility. Their awful chat system consumed over ten hours of my time across four days, with absolutely no resolution. Despite their repeated promises that someone would email me to confirm my flight, nobody ever followed up. Their lack of communication and customer service is not just frustrating—these guys are dodgy and I question the legality of their opperations. The stress and financial impact they caused me far outweigh any perceived savings. Take my advice: Avoid Vayama at all costs. Even if it looks like you're saving hundreds of euros, it’s not worth the risk. This company operates with blatant disregard for its customers and seems to function like a scam operation. Spend your money elsewhere and save yourself the trouble.

We bought tickets to Bali, but the airline changed the time and dates. After confirming the new time and dates, we didn't receive any tickets. Now, we're left ticketless and in limbo because it's impossible to contact them—they always say to wait 24-48 hours. This has been going on for two weeks

Avoid this company. I bought the ticket well in advance but for the second time, they are trying to change the trip schedule. They want me to fly one day earlier on my return from Brazil having to stay for one night in Sao Paulo before the long-haul flight. UNACCEPTABLE. After many emails the only response I get is that nothing can be done, and if I am not happy with the change I should cancel and get the refund. The problem is the same ticket will cost 50% more if I need to buy it again. After a quick search, there is a flight that I could be put in with my family if the change is really necessary, but Vayama is also refusing to do it.

They are not to be trusted They are not to be trusted , I requested to cancel my flights and could only contact them through online chat , The customer service Thomas said that he could help with the cancelation and i asked him what would my total cost and my total refund would be once i cancel . He said its $350 per ticket to cancel and my total refund would be $1200 . I told him to process the cancelation and refund the $1200 to my card , He did that and a few minutes later said the tickets were cancelled and my refund is $912 , asked him why its not $1200 like he said and he said he made a mistake and there was nothing he could do. After further conversation he just stopped talking and said he could not do anything even if he made a mistake , Anyway basically they do this all the time and scam people . Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company .

Terrible service with Vayama.com, I have been contacting them, since 10 days to cancel or postpone the flight date and nobody responded properly. All the service lines are busy and no customer care service number is available. Have been wasting my time behind this nascence and got zero output. Worst experience of my life. I had to cancel the flight and there was no co-operation so could not board the flight. All the money got wasted its not fair with customers who trust your service and get back headache in return. I am not going to book any flight again with this company, and my sincere suggestion to all of you never book with vayama again if you want to save your money. They are cheaters and fraud just snatch the money.

Do not buy with them, they will keep your money even when the airline allows you to cancel the flight! I wanna cancel a trip due to COVID, Vayama tells me: Call American Airlines to cancel it. I do it, I give American Airlines my booking number, then American Airlines tells me I can either ask for a full refund or for a ticket exchange, but unfortunately and either way I have to ask Vayama to initiate it because they are the ones that bought my ticket. I ask Vayama for a refund (given that these tickets were for a cancelled wedding celebration that will not happen anymore), their answer: Hi, you can only exchange your ticket. I email them again, explaining how I directly called American Airlines and they told me I could also ask for a full refund with no fees (email pic attached), Vayama's 2nd email: You can only ask for a refund (they literally ignore my email and answered the very same answer). I have now 4 plane tickets I cannot use, just because I did not book directly with the airline and tried to be a bit cheaper by using Vayama. I will update this review rating and post if for any reason Vayama actually refunds me after my third email, but no hopes after their second email... PS: I had to email them because you can't reach anyone when you call their number. Their answering service has been oversaturated (at least) for weeks.

I’m trying to use or get a refund from a flight cancellation and they are terrible to answer cut the line all the time horrible company never buy any tickets from them terrible terrible terrible

As others have experienced, Vayama is a terrible company. They are refusing to refund me $1400 for a cancelled flight. The airline has already verbally confirmed to me that I am entitled to it, but Vayama refuses to process the refund after having first told me they were applying for it. They will ignore you and lie to you when they can no longer ignore you. Just deal directly with the airline and not these scammers.

We purchased tickets to go overseas and had to cancel because the country was not accepting tourists due to COVID-19. The airline refunded our money to Vayama but Vayama did not forward it to us. We lost over $5000.00 to Vayama.

Very Bad Company Booked two ticket to Italy. Called Vayama to see if the flights were being cancelled because of covid. Was told the flight were cancelled due to covid and also received an email from them stating. Your booking has been cancelled. Following an airline schedule change, the airline has cancelled your flights. The airline didn't provide alternative flights, which means the only option is to request a full refund. We have started the refund process and will update you on the status via email. 10 months later still no refund processed by Vayama. Now they state I am not due refund from airline because I cancelled flights. I woud accept responsibility for this if I was not told by thier staff that the flights were cancelled dut to covid and notified in writing that this was the case. Next stop for me is to file complaint with Department of Transportation and Connecticut Attorny General

Do not dare use Vayama Our trip to Mexico got cancelled by Aeromexico since September due to Covid-19. Since then we have been trying to obtain our refund with no luck. Our case was September 6th , 2021. We got a reply saying our refund would be processed within 4-6 weeks. It has been 3 months and there is not a sign of such refund. We have not been able to talk to a representative since September. As we contact them through the only possible way there is , email, we get the same answers. Do NOT EVER use this service. They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.

I purchased a multiple destination ticket from Vayama, which included departure from Washington Dulles Airport on 30 August to Bamako. Unbeknownst to me, Royal Air Moroc were not flying, but yet still allowed customers to purchase a ticket. Therefore the ticket was cancelled, without any explanation and/or further deliberation. Instead, Vayama is blaming both Emirates and Royal Moroc, since my full ticket included a flight from South Sudan to DC via Emirates, then shifting to Royal Moroc, with the total cost of $1,619.00 USD. The ongoing excuse is the delay of releasing the funds is due to COVID restrictions, please be patient. It's been four months, and we are heading into the new year of 2021. They have no sympathy, knowing people have been undergoing financial constraints, yet they have the audacity to keep my funds hostage. After my ticket was abruptly cancelled, I had to purchase another ticket to the same destinations at a higher cost due to the time constraints for the total amount of $1,865.00. Yet the travel agent and these airlines have no regard for their customers, who work hard to afford such expensive trips to attend to family and medical issues in countries thousands miles apart from the hardship duty station I currently work in, South Sudan. These airlines and travel agent (VAYAMA) are a disgrace and I will not rest until I receive my refund!

It is amazing that this company has any customers at all!! I would give a zero star review if I could. I cannot begin to describe how much of a terrible travel agency this is. Do not let the cheap plane ticket prices get you. It is sometimes better to pay more... and this is one of those situations. I have been trying to get my ticket refunded since March 2020... and here it is.. December 2020. And this whole time... they can only tell me that the cancellation request is still pending. They have terrible customer service (nice way of putting it). It is incredibly hard to get someone on the phone and get someone to reply back to your emails. I sent an email to their customer support when I first requested a refund because they CLOSED their call centers due to COVID. What kind of travel agency closes and leaves their customers hanging? It took me sending over 5 emails during a period of several weeks before getting a response. I have had to contact senior management including the CEO because of the poor service that they offer and their lack of responding. My family and I will NEVER use this travel agency again. I would NOT take a chance with this agency if I were you. They will scam you in a heartbeat! STAY AWAY from this travel agency!

Incredulous that this company still has customers! As soon as they take your money, there is no service, neither by phone or by email. I lost $1,078 for a trip to Europe. I canceled my reservation through their website (as requested) and I became a no show per the airline. In other words, Vayama doesn't answer their phone, they don't read your email, they don't take action on requests (cancelation). I sent 3 emails asking them what do to since as a US Citizen I was not allowed to enter any European country and got no response. I tried for more than 3 weeks to call and email them, the phone call were answered by an automated response "we are busy and hope to talk to your soon" then it hangs up. Email: no response. Trust me, DO NOT book anything with this company, it's not worth it.

After you make your reservation , incase you have problem , they don't know you , sometimes they are few dollares shepper from others , it is not worth it , just don't use them .

Vayama abandoned us in Greece in the middle of our trip this year. They never even told us our flights were cancelled. I had to find out for myself. I tried to call and email them since January when I found out that my flight had been cancelled by the airline. My emails were replied to with a standard response saying that I don't have to do anything and they will fix us up a month before my flight, which was supposed to be in May. I sent several emails, as their phone didnt work, and got the same standard response. They never contacted me until I finally got back home after buying another ticket from another airline in June. They contacted me in August after I disputed their charge with my credit card. They said since there was a dispute they couldn't do anything until I dropped the dispute. I told them since they only contacted me three months after my scheduled return when I disputed them that they should give me a refund then i'll drop the dispute. I doubt i'll ever hear from them again. This is an unethical business that everyone should stay away from!!!

This is the most irresponsible agency I’ve ever dealt with. I booked a ticket before Covid. The airline canceled my flight. I’m trying to rebook but vayama doesn’t answer any calls. They are also lying sending messages that they are waiting for a refund when in fact the ticket has an open status and no one asked the airline for a refund. This is outrageous!

I got refunded from Turkish airline via Vayama and they claim they sent $ to my CC I don’t have any longer I connected them multiple times via email and request payment in mail. They still refuse to pay me back claiming my $ was refunded to closed CC and VISA stole my $ not them. I reported them to BBB and they have generic response. We send requests check with your bank. Don’t do business with them and I am hiring attorney to help me on end .

Horrible customer service. Flight cancelled due to covid 19. I have requested a refund, since the ticket was purchased through their site, on 6 different occasions. Three months later the stall tactics continue with vayama. Still no refund. I just filed complaints with the BBB & DOT.
