“I hadn't realised that the light oak rustic floating shelf I had ordered was a piece of stained fairly rough pine. Maybe I should have looked closer before ordering. The shelf was relatively easy to fit but one of the holes wasn't deep enough to accept the length of pin so there is a wider gap between the wall and shelf at one end. The supplier gave me a 50% refund for the problems.”

“We have now bought a few things from them all look really nice when up. Just 1 blip, we bought a coat rack and the pilot hole were out line and I thought the screws could have been bigger.”

“Easy to order online and I was kept informed of my delivery. Unfortunately one of the shelves was a little damaged during transit however they still look perfect on the wall! I will definitely be using Ben Simpson furniture in future.”

“My initial order wasn't fulfilled correctly and I received the wrong width shelves. I posted a review which was quickly responded to, and the situation rectified to my full satisfaction. (I deducted one star because the overall experience wasn't flawless, but the error was handled very professionally and I will order again.)”

“Easy to order, well packed, exactly as described and arrived within 3 working days of order. I would have awarded five stars if not for the issues listed below. 1) Shelves with inverted brackets could only be supplied in one depth due I assume to only having one size of inverted brackets. 2) I thought a little expensive for stained softwood but maybe I am out of touch with prices.”

“Having purchased a shelf previously from Ben Simpson, which I was very happy with, decided to get another one, the second one had a split all the way through it, I contacted Ben Simpson, and sent pictures of the split ,they said it was a natural part of the wood, which I’m sure it is , but i would of thought it would of been checked before sending it out to a customer, they did say I could return it for a replacement, but I felt the cost of returning such a heavy item at my expense would be to much, so I have kept it. I was disappointed this time , as the previous shelf was beautiful.”

“Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions, I was unable to view the product before purchasing. When the shelves arrived (very promptly), they didn’t suit the decor of our house. When Ben was made aware of my concerns, he suggested that I return them and he offered a full refund. However good an internet site is, there is always the risk that the goods received do not meet expectation. I’m very grateful that Ben acted so quickly to rectify matters.”

“The product is excellent the only slightly disappointing thing is that the timber shelf comes in 2 separate pieces to achieve the width I ordered. However, I assume this is to reduce the weight for installation.”
