Out of the warranty period (grinder jams up constantly) it's horribly messy since the container doesn't seal, so grounds go EVERYWHERE. do not buy a grinder or anything from from this company. To return the product you have to organize and pay the transport, which I knew from the start and have no issue with.
I did send it back to Bodum (15€ cost) for Bodum not to accept it when UPS passed by for whatever reason and after 7-10 day it got returned to me by UPS as they were unable to drop it at BODUM's offical return address (it was correct on the shipment) ... To return UPS charged me again 15 €!
Trying to get some clarification from the (honestly useless) BODUM customer service team I got 5 times the same generic answer and they kept refusing to give me a phone number so I could talk to them.
Ultimately I gave up and am now stuck with a product I do not want AND having paid 30 € for the transport and return shipment
Do NOT buy online from this company, the service is useless.

“A Coffee Grinder that doesn't Grind Coffee.
I got this machine 2 years ago. After a year, it started making problems. Now there's just the smell of the motor working out. I tried to follow the instructions. Grinding rice - cleaning the machine etc..
But everytime, the beans would get stuck in the machine as soon as I would put them inside. Really really disappointing and a waste of money (and time!!!!!)”

The reason for the one start review is that after raising a support request I am still waiting for a reply after 1 week of waiting. I need to return the grinder for replacement but there is no way of doing it without getting a return code from a support request.”

They describe the items wrongly, and instead of glass their coffee makers are made of thin cheap plastic. But the PROBLEM - it the communication with a customer service. They are not responsive - silence. To return a product is hell - I daily requested how to return it - they wouldn’t reply. When I received the instructions at last how to return, I have to pay for shipping, then Bodum does -10% of the whole purchase - for restocking (no good company ever dies that) that leaves me IF THEY WOULD REFUND with only 50% of my total payment to refund. But few months of delivery - still no refund. They got my returned products and never refunded me. This is a steal.”
“I would rate this company a ZERO if I could! Worst customer service ever. BE CAREFUL, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I purchased a set of 6 double walled glass bistro mugs, 4 are fine and the other 2 are damaged. I emailed the company same day I received them, they replied and asked for photos, which I sent them the very next day. I have never heard from them again, I've emailed them, I've called, but their outgoing messages says to email them (there isn't a person you can talk to). They have simply ignored me now. I'm so disappointed, I wish I had seen the negative reviews prior to ordering the mugs. I was willing to send the 2 mugs back for replacements, but now I just want a full refund for the entire set, I refuse to keep these mugs. With my luck, I may not have a choice, I may have paid for 6 mugs but only have 4. I did submit a claim with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), so I'm hoping to have this issue resolved with their help. It's not about the money or how much I spent, it's about this company's integrity, which they have none - ZERO!!”
“Bodum products look good but work poorly. More importantly, the company does not stand by its products. As an experienced customer, having had 5 different kitchen gadgets (mostly received as wedding gifts), I can attest that they all have problems. They knowingly use materials that do not hold up, becoming sticky, gooey, and disgusting to even hold. Functionally speaking, they all work, but the hand mixer settings are all too fast, and the milk warmer/frother burns the milk on the bottom, making it difficult to clean, and the rest of the items had issues with the material. I would not recommend Bodum to anyone and will never buy from them again.
I did contact them about the issues, and they replied 2 months later, acknowledging that other customers have had issues with the material, but they had no useful advice and were unwilling to replace them.”

Even terms and conditions says they will return, but never had money back for return postage.”

I bought a burr coffee grinder and after one horrendous messy use I decided to return the grinder but to my dismay, Bodum does not stand behind their products. They will not accept a return. I am now stuck with a poorly engineered and designed grinder.

“Products are good but customer service awful, their system had issues for about a week, not processing freebies for qualified purchases, I spent about $300 and yet they wouldnt want to honour the freebies I qualified for. It takes weeks to come back to your escalations then they find every excuse or tricks to dissapoint you not to proceed. I woulnt shop again at Bodum”
“I bought a Bodum Bistro online and it immediately clogged and became unusable. I contacted Bodum customer services and they asked me to send a video, which i did. They were very unhelpful and said the problem was just static and refused to let me return it. (I'm sure this breaches some kind of distance selling regulations!) Ended up having to use a compressed air gun to clear the blockage. The blocked coffee grounds were in oily clumps so I guess there must have been some grease on the burrs from the manufacturing process. Have since run it through a couple of times with dry rice to try and clean it and it seems to be ok, although I'm still not 100% convinced. I'm most disappointed in their complete lack of interest and support”
