“Ordered the Shire 8x8 corner summerhouse in April 2020 and were given a 4 week delivery time which gave us plenty time to prepare the slab base. This was a task in itself during lockdown as open merchants were few and far between. Delivery came as promised on the day and was offloaded by a very courteous and polite driver leaving us to get on with the project. Took 2 full days to get it up and wind and watertight but the weather window was very kind with a warm dry spell for the whole week.Great quality materials, I elected to replace some of the facings with better timber but overall a high quality product. We love our new summerhouse and can highly recommend it to any prospective buyers thinking about using Elbec Garden Buildings or the Shire Barclay corner in particular. Oh,and buy the Protek exterior paint that is offered when buying your garden building, it's a good price and is a brilliant product.”

“Shires Shed nice little shed, the only thing will say is the floor needs to be a bit stronger. Price was good and delivery easy was able to choose a date, then you could track driver on the day. Not too bad to put together you just needs a bit of strength when doing the roof.”
“I ordered Larkspur (Shire) summerhouse from Elbec. The quality of the product is very good, there was some minor damage which Elbec/Shire offered to replace however my joiner made good. I was VERY impressed by the service and attitude of all the employees involved with the supply. The delivery driver Adam was excellent, the product was delivered a bit later than planned however the tracking system was excellent and I knew exactly where and when it would be delivered. The customer care (Sharon) was excellent and followed up with me several times. I also received a couple of planters free gratis due to the slight damage. All round excellent service and I would recommend these companies to anyone looking for this type of product.”

At 51 Kilos this is ridiculous . I am not sure how I’m going to move it. Why can’t it be in at least two packages? “We ordered a 10'x8' summerhouse from Elbec Garden Buildings because their list price was £200 cheaper for a Shire building than other suppliers. They kept me informed right up to the delivery, which was well within the informed time slot. I'm glad that I elected to assemble the building myself because it meant that I could treat the timber with wood preservative. It took more than 20 litres. The quality of the wood finish is pretty rough in quite a few places. This maybe ok for a garden shed but not a summerhouse. So quite a bit of 'fettling' was needed to remove these rough edges. The window beads were even worse, but because they give you plenty of spares you can select enough to do the job. Apart from these few negatives, the summerhouse is a resounding success and we are really glad we bought it.”
