“The whole holiday was a wonderful package. Right from the price to tour that included internal flights, accommodation and coaches, included tours and iternary everything was faultless. The only issue I had was I had to pay an additional 221 pounds on check in luggage on my international flights. It would be good if this was part of the ticket price. The information provided was gandy, tge guides were helpful and informative. I look forward to travelling with Exoticca again.”

“We had a superb trip to Peru Ecuador and Galápagos- our trip was great - we had a combination of our own tours and exoticcas ans all were excellent.
Only issue was Galápagos hotel was being renovated and no facilities so we decided to move. Only at that point the customer service was challenging as they seemed to focus on that we wouldn’t get money back when all we wanted was to move to a hotel that had facilities planned and wasn’t a building site. We sorted our own hotel a few doors away which was lovely and made the end of our amazing holiday perfect.”

“This holiday was a great introduction to Southern Africa. Overall the staff were helpful and the customer service sorted out any difficulties.
The main issue was one hotel in Cape Town where the first room we had was too small with no storage and the second the drains smelt and was noisy. I have to say the room our children had was excellent.
The other issue was a slight communication problem. The hotels hadn’t been informed regarding a twin room for our children but customer service sorted this out immediately.
I would recommend this tour as a good introduction to Southern Africa and Zimbabwe and we had a very good experience”

“This company has no customer service. We spent 6-12 hours on the bus a day and only got an hour or two at the destinations because they kept doubling back to stay in the cheapest towns . I always missed either lunch or dinner , and the main stops were at gas stations for junk food meals . They forced us to leave our luggage and passports at a hotel when the rooms weren’t ready to go on a city tour, promising they would be safe . When we got back , our wallet ( with our cash and CC) and IPAD was stolen , and our passports were left on the top of the front desk, unattended . Our guide would not help us make a police report because he “didn’t know the language “ . The hotel nor Exxotica would take any responsibility or help even though over 1,000 was charged and a tracker indicated that the IPAD was in the apartment behind the hotel . Half of the hotels were dirty, stained blankets , walls and moldy showers . One hotel had a broken dryer and iron , but they wouldn’t let us change rooms or give us a new dryer . We parked sometimes 2 blocks from the hotels , and always had to lug our own luggage through busy streets . They make you pay a hotel tax in cash at every hotel , and if you stop at a Church or Mosque, the entrance fee was not included . One day, we went on a long walk to a lake , and when we got back at the correct time , the bus was missing . We waited 15 minutes and then called the guide, who did not answer . It was scary . You get what you pay for . I would use Gate 1 or other companies instead of being lured by what seems like a good deal with the worst customer service ever.”

“It’s worth calling and speaking directly to a staff member. I booked 2 holidays with Mila and she was great. I have been on 2 other holidays with Exoticca and have not been disappointed. I was due to go to Peru earlier this year but due to ill health I had to cancel the trip. I applied for a refund from my travel agent and Exoticca were very helpful in providing me with information that I needed. Again, I found it very helpful to directly speak with a person.”
