I've never been able to stay consistent but MyBodyTutor has changed that for me. I am very happy with my consistency and results so far. I would highly recommend MyBodyTutor to anyone who has trouble staying consistent!

I'm so thrilled to hear it, Louise! Consistency is the key to results, and accountability is the key to consistency. I appreciate the kind words! -Adam at MyBodyTutor

I have had some success in the past by watching my calories like a hawk and severely restricting what I ate, but it was not sustainable and the weight always came right back as soon as my willpower waned. I went through cycles of weight loss and weight gain without any understanding of what was going on underneath the surface of my behaviors. I relied solely on willpower to force myself to eat properly, and when that limited resource would dry up I would mentally throw my hands up in the air and eat whatever was easily available - often snack foods. I'd feel bad afterward - both physically and mentally - and resolve to never do that again, which of course, lasted maybe a few weeks at best before the cycle would repeat. I first heard about MyBodyTutor via the BiggerPockets podcast. I liked what Adam had to say about consistency being the key to success and visited the MyBodyTutor website afterward to learn more. Before starting, I thought I needed to do everything on my own and that seeking help when I was struggling was a sign of weakness. Being consistent is very challenging for me, so I doubted that, even with help, I would really be able to change. But I hoped that I would finally be able to break the cycles of "feast or famine" and be able to eat healthy consistently without it being a constant struggle. I wanted to lose weight, keep it off, and feel like I was in control. MyBodyTutor helped me lose 10 pounds, but more importantly, it gave me an understanding of how to relate to food in a healthier way. Unlike all the other times I've lost weight, this weight loss feels permanent. I feel like I have the tools I was lacking to maintain consistency in my diet, and it isn't even challenging - it feels natural to eat as I do now. MyBodyTutor does not prescribe any of the fad diets most of us have tried or tell you to follow some sort of inflexible dogma about what you can and cannot do or eat. Plus, the self-reflection and mindfulness skills they teach are applicable to many aspects of life beyond diet and exercise. If you struggle with perfectionism like I do, this program will help you to reign in that tendency and allow you to get back up far more easily when you inevitably get knocked down by something. One mistake no longer derails me and I have greater patience and understanding for myself. Small tweaks over time really do make more of a difference in the long term than herculean but very sporadic action. Trust your tutor, be patient, and you will see lasting results.

Love the MyBodyTutor program and I love my tutor! I have had a very high stress month but she is helping me keep my head on straight. I normally would have gained weight during a month like this. I am learning how to deal with stress more positively and have lost an impressive amount of mental weight! I can't recommend MyBodyTutor enough!

I am really happy with MyBodyTutor! I'm also really happy with my progress so far! There are SOOO many things I can do now that I didn't think I could do before, all in different ways. The one thing I have really enjoyed is losing weight without over-exerting myself. There are days when I don't work out at all, just focus on stretching/standing/walking and it works! I also thought I would never be able to control how much I ate. I appreciate all of the emails, encouragement and confidence that I gain through MyBodyTutor. It is so nice knowing that you and all of the coaches are LITERALLY there any time I need something or have a question. I would highly recommend this program!

Over many years, I had developed a "system" for weight loss that worked for me, but I had trouble sticking with it. I was struggling with losing a little, then gaining it back, over and over. I hoped that with MyBodyTutor's support, they would help me finally lose the 15 pounds that I had been unable to lose for the past 25 years. I lost the 15 pounds I had hoped to lose. I feel much happier with my body, and I know now that if I choose to lose more, I can do it. MyBodyTutor offered a very accessible, immediate source of support through its concise yet comprehensive daily report forms, through Adam's daily messages, and through the six-days-a-week feedback from my coach. If you feel like the missing piece for you is having someone who really cares, day in and day out, whether you lose the weight or not, MyBodyTutor can give you that sense of support. It also gives you a place to make it official that you really are committed to losing weight.

In the Spring of 2020, just as the quarantines had begun, I found myself sent home from my job and had a lot of time on my hands. I had cleaned and organized every area of my house that had been on my to do list, except my closet. As I looked through my clothes and found the box of clothes labeled “too small”, I got very sad. I have always struggled with over and emotional eating. I grew up celebrating with, comforting with and focusing on food. I had gotten to a healthy weight once in my 20’s and knew how good it felt, but after marriage and 3 babies I was staring at an extra 68 pounds. In the last decade, I started figuring out how food was affecting my overall health and how it made me feel, but still binged when it tasted good or I was emotional. I had “tried” to get control of my poor eating habits many times in the last 20 years, but gave up within weeks of starting. I would wake up every morning with good intentions and by the end of the day, I was eating to cope. Programs that focused on food, didn’t work because I was sensitive to many of the suggestions and I was so overweight that every muscle in my body hurt when I focused on exercise alone. An ad came up on my phone for a different coaching type program that piqued my interest, but once I tried the free trial, I knew it wasn’t going to work. The idea of having a coach though was now in my brain and I wondered if there was a better, more hands-on program out there that I could afford. Google led me to MBT. I read a success story of a woman who wanted to be at her goal weight by her 40th birthday, so she could celebrate in style. She was 60 pounds overweight and did it in 9 months. I was 9 months away from my 40th birthday and wanted that story for myself. The personal approach of having a 1:1 phone call with Adam was a huge selling point for me, but I was still scared. I don’t like to fail and when I am unsuccessful in an area of my life, I struggle to get started again and almost never try the same things twice. I felt like this might be my last chance and I didn’t want to fail again. I also knew my personality and knew that I needed to be locked in to my success. There was a bonus to paying for a full year up front and though it was a big commitment, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The journey of weight loss is such a rollercoaster and I wanted to quit so many times, but I couldn’t get my money back or quit paying the monthly fee, so I was locked in. This was obviously a big piece to my success, but had this been any other program, I probably would have just lost the money and had another area of regret, but MBT is different. You have someone working with you that cares about you and wants you to be successful and won’t give up even when you want to. I ghosted my tutor on multiple occasions, because I had “failed” at a party and didn’t want to tell the truth, or I was angry or frustrated by work or family, I dealt with loss, personal health trials and surgery. My tutor was amazing. She was calm, consistent and encouraging. There were times when she needed to call me out, but most of the time, I was the one being hard on myself and she would point out the things I was doing right, which was just what I needed to keep going. She was gentle in her guidance and gave me tools that slowly changed the way I saw food. I was using willpower less and less and feeling empowered. By my birthday in November I was 5 pounds from my goal and surpassed the “small” clothes in my closet. A month later I unexpectedly found out I was pregnant for the 4th time. This obviously wasn’t part of my plan and I struggled with many emotions, which my tutor was there to support me through. Just before I started gaining pregnancy weight, I reached my goal of 69lbs gone. I stayed on a maintenance program with MBT through my pregnancy which was pivotal in re-enforcing the skills I had been taught, without the incentive of weight loss and now that my daughter is born, I am continuing to lose my pregnancy weight better than I ever have previously and I feel good doing it too. Before this journey began I was a prisoner to food and I was teaching my kids to be prisoners to food as well. Now I am a good role model to them. They watch me deal with my emotions without food and eat healthy portions and the seeds for their future are being planted. By my next birthday I see myself back to my goal and living there comfortably for the rest of my life, because I finally have the tools that make that a realistic goal.

I was doing lots of emotional eating and binging. I felt completely out of control, and I weighed the most I ever had in my life. The pandemic caused me to move less and eat worse. I tried Weight Watchers, Noom, 21 Day Fix, Whole30, and Balance 365, but what was missing was personalization, structure, and a plan tailored to my specific needs. When I found MyBodyTutor online, I hoped to gain control of my eating, feel empowered, and lose 40 pounds. I had never heard of them before, and I thought it might be another impulsive move I was making. I was worried I'd be spending money on something that didn't work or wasn't legit. But MyBodyTutor is beyond what I expected. I had my own personal coach working with me every single day. The attention and support I got were unparalleled to anything else out there. My coach made me feel like I was her only (and favorite) client. If I ever missed logging a day, she would automatically check-in—and she seemed to always know when something was wrong. Also, I was NEVER hungry while I was losing weight. I thought I knew a lot about nutrition, but my coach showed me I still had a lot to learn! She showed me how to really read labels and to eat in a way that kept me feeling my best. I learned to eat in a way that was sustainable for the rest of my life—not a quick fix. So far, I have lost 32 pounds. Not only did I lose weight, but I became strong and in shape. I get compliments all the time, and my identity has changed. I am no longer a "dieter" but a "healthy eater." I threw out all my larger-sized pants! Kristin recently helped me dive deep into my psyche. As I got closer to my goal, I purposely started to self-sabotage. Kristin helped me figure out that something that was holding me back was the fear of making others jealous of my success! Knowing that I can succeed without worrying about pleasing others has truly helped me push through the roadblocks that were holding me back. The advice I'd give to someone thinking about joining is this is not a quick fix. It takes hard work and dedication. I fell off the wagon many times during my year doing MyBodyTutor. I fell back into old patterns, but I always got back up again. I wanted to quit many times, but my coach helped me align my eating with my goals. Remember that weight loss is not linear. It will be fast in the beginning, and then it will get really slow. Just hang in there. There will be points where you really, really, really want to throw in the towel. Learn to identify that negative voice in your head, and remember that it's not you! Keep at it. Also, be honest with your tutor—especially on bad days. They are there to problem solve with you so you can learn from your mistakes. Also, this is not supposed to be easy. It's hard work. The feelings of discomfort will come and go, but learning to get uncomfortable and push through is where you really, really change.

I'd been healthy and fit for years but went through some very stressful times and let myself get off track. I was helping care for others but at some point stopped taking care of myself. I became overweight, miserable, and fatigued to the bone. Even with a background in both nutrition and psychology, I just couldn't seem to find my way back. I finally felt desperate enough to ask for help and signed up for My Body Tutor. I was skeptical and embarrassed, but it sounded like a smart approach and I knew I needed support. From the very beginning, I was impressed — from how insightful the entry questionnaire was to the effort Adam put into matching me with just the right person on his team. My tutor was amazing, and she was already helping restore my healthy mindset within the first few days. I don't think anything other than having that outsider objective point of view could've set me back on my path because I had gotten stuck so deeply inside my own head while trying in vain to lose weight and restore my health. She made me realize things I hadn't been able to see in myself for quite some time. She really absorbed what I was telling her and helped me take a step back to see more clearly. She helped move my focus away from health worries and eating struggles and towards realistic actions, one step at a time. The daily reporting was also a big help, to write out your meals and thoughts, knowing that you'll be sharing them with someone who is not at all there to judge you but only to help you get healthy. I would look forward to my coach's feedback, insights, and questions — and honestly, also the comforting feeling of just having a real live human there to care about and support me. I also enjoyed browsing through Adam's helpful tips and videos. The online reporting and feedback system is easy to use, provides for efficient daily communication, and gives great at-a-glance data, so you can track your progress and gain insights with any patterns that emerge. I will admit that the first few days of this process took quite a bit of work and time and self-reflection, but setting down that foundation as a way to reach your goals is totally worth it. In fact, them asking me to put in that work immediately let me know that they were serious about putting in the effort on their side too, which made me want to commit all the more. I'm so glad I joined and can truly say that this service and that these dedicated people have changed my life. It's great to finally remember what healthy feels like!

I love everything about MyBodyTutor! One of the things I love most about MBT that sets them apart from others is that it is designed to meet you where you are. Your tutor works with you to understand your current lifestyle and routines and then builds custom goals and plans to improve upon them while taking into account your unique situation. My tutor provides practical support and guidance that works within my lifestyle, instead of a one-size-fits-all approach. It truly is designed specifically for me. My tutor has helped me identify the why behind some of my habits and it has made all the difference to change my habits for the better. What she has done for me in less than a month has been remarkable. She is so encouraging and never makes me feel guilt or shame. She is incredibly supportive while also keeping me accountable. She has empowered me and I am so grateful for her. I'm so glad I joined!

I've always tried to live a fairly healthy lifestyle and have used various apps such as Beachbody, MyFitnessPal, etc. I've been known to try various diets like the 21-Day Fix and the ketogenic diet. I have also signed up for weight loss challenges through gyms I've been a member of. I've always been successful in the short-term, but the weight would eventually come back due to chronic stress. The focus was always on the food I ate, and I never addressed all the other factors that had an effect on the food I chose. I struggled most with emotional eating, both on happy occasions and stressful moments. And when I heard about MyBodyTutor from a friend, I hoped that I would learn how to control my eating and have a cheerleader in my corner to help keep me on track with my main goals. I was worried about the cost and was a bit insecure that I needed help. I've done so much research and have always been pretty physically fit; I was afraid to share my struggle with emotional eating. When I first signed up, my goal was weight loss via diet and exercise, as it is for many that sign up. However, my goal shifted when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome and was no longer concerned about my weight. I was more concerned with living a life without pain, fatigue, and brain fog. Instead of weight loss, my coach and I focused on controlled eating and following a specific nutrition plan recommended by my physician to help reduce pain and fatigue. Instead of exercise, we focused on stress reduction activities and minimizing movement, which was necessary for my recovery. I can now say that I, for the first time in the last several years, feel in control of my eating. I have tried new ways to de-stress, like with decaf coffee/teas, essential oils, slow yoga, slow walks, going to bed early, etc. But it was these other changes that I made in my life that finally allowed me to learn how to control my eating. I do not feel like I "need" my MyBodyTutor coach, although I really will miss her!! I appreciated the holistic approach to nutrition and taking into account all the other factors in life that affect our eating. I also appreciated that a coach is assigned to you based on your own needs/preferences, and if it isn't the right fit, a new coach can be assigned. When you join MyBodyTutor, you will be able to have a coach that will individualize a plan that fits your lifestyle and needs. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. No matter where you are in life or on your nutrition/fitness journey, MyBodyTutor is for you. I had a very rough 12 months, suffering from an illness that was difficult to diagnose; my coach supported me throughout the whole process and helped me shift my focus based on what my body needed at the time. I am forever grateful for my MyBodyTutor coach!

I think that the MyBodyTudor is ground breaking. I love this program. I am only a month in and have found my mind changing faster than my body. I believe my body will follow if given time. This program is powerful beyond weight loss and should extend to those that want to quiet all the chatter in their head about food. At my thinnest, I needed this program.

I joined MyBodyTutor because I thought I needed a coach to give me an a**-whooping. Someone to be blunt and point out all my bad habits. I found the opposite to be true. I was already harsh enough on myself. No one can belittle me better than myself. What I learned is that I need to treat myself with grace, love, and forgiveness. What I needed was to give myself kindness. Kindness in hydrating, sleeping, and eating nutritious foods to fuel my body instead of the food that weighs it down. And I needed insight into what those nutritious foods are! It's a journey and I am forever grateful for MyBodyTutor.

Heather was the perfect tutor for me. She was constantly encouraging but firm with suggested limits. I woke up each day eager to read the detailed feedback from her. She shared great ideas for dietary changes I could make, including specific recipes and timing of my meals. She had suggestions for improving my workout routine and helped me make a plan for rest days. She clearly wanted my success and was always available to me for questions. She helped me celebrate my successes and lifted me up when I had a bad day. I felt truly cared for and supported every day of my plan. I am sad to be leaving the program because I will truly miss the supportive relationship I developed with Heather, but the ultimate goal is independence, and after my time on the plan, I feel ready to maintain my good habits without the awesome support of MBT. If I need it again, I will be back! - Liz

I can fit into my pre-baby jeans, and I feel great! I've tried elimination diets, slow-carb, low-carb, and a little keto. They worked for the short term but weren't sustainable for me, so when I came off of them, I gained all the weight back and some. My fear was that I would only keep getting bigger and have no control over my weight. When I first joined MyBodyTutor, I hoped I would come out with ripped abs and could wear cropped shirts to show off my flat belly. Although I do not yet have ripped abs, I have made progress and now feel I have all the tools I need to get there in time as I slowly change my mindset and habits. I can fit into my pre-baby jeans and feel good about my ongoing health journey. I lost almost 15 pounds and 9 1/2 inches - 4 1/2 inches from my waist! What changed? It really comes down to the mindset. MyBodyTutor helps people change their mindset, which in turn changes their habits, which in turn changes more than just their weight. If you're thinking about joining, I suggest opening yourself up for change, and if you do, the change will be positive and will impact more than just your weight.

Before starting with MyBodyTutor, I was in what felt like a never-ending rut. I had gained a lot of weight during my 1st pregnancy. My son was 7 getting ready to turn 8, and I was starting to wonder if this was just going to be my forever struggle. I was starting to wonder if it would just be easier to accept that I was never going to achieve my physical goals vs seeing the years pass by and feeling like my goals were like this all illusive carrot that I could never reach. I was feeling defeated. I don't remember a time in my life, even as a kid, that I wasn't "trying" some new fad diet. The more recent things I have done were Keto, 75 Hard, a combination of Keto and Paleo, and Whole30. I feel that the biggest thing that was missing was the mindset piece. I heard about MyBodyTutor through Brandon Turner on BiggerPockets, but it still took me a long time to sign up. I kept telling myself that I just needed to get focused and committed and that I could do it on my own. When I finally joined, my hopes were that I could close out the year having actually gotten closer to my physical goals instead of feeling like I had let another year go by without having made any progress. Early on in my journey with Toni, my coach, she asked me a question. She said, "I know you have a lot of fears surrounding not accomplishing your goals, but do you ever imagine what it would feel like if you accomplished your goal?" Until that moment, it hadn't occurred to me that I was dwelling on my imminent failure as opposed to the possibility of success. And as soon as I had that realization, I started visualizing what it would feel like to hit my goal. That one shift helped to get rid of a lot of fear and anxiety that was complicating a lot of things for me. I didn't even realize that there were things that were holding me back and keeping me from accomplishing my goals that I wasn't even aware of. There were things that Toni brought to my attention that I would never have seen if it had not been brought to my attention. I accomplished the goal I had set for myself on Thursday, December 16th, 2021. I lost 30 lbs by tuning into myself and my body. Going into 2022 was the first time that I can remember not obsessively setting multiple weight-related goals for the upcoming year. And it wasn't because I don't have a vision for progress that I would like to continue making physically. I do. I am currently training for a marathon. I also want to do an obstacle race this year, along with fun hikes and other fun physical activities with my family. But I realized that in the past, the goals were rooted in a belief that where and who I currently am wasn't good enough. That belief wasn't serving me. I feel more aware of my mindset and my self-talk and the progress that I am aspiring towards in my life is centered on being present and having fun with my journey rather than using it as a standard of measurement as to whether or not I am good enough. I am continually striving towards reinforcement of the core habits of eating for hunger and mindfully. I feel like I have a great foundation and support system because of my journey with Toni and MyBodyTutor. What makes MyBodyTutor different from all the other companies out there is that their emphasis isn't placed on the "right" or "wrong" foods. The emphasis is on awareness. Awareness regarding the reasons we eat, awareness around our mindset, awareness around guilt and shame that create an unhealthy relationship with ourselves and food. Something I am still having to remind myself about is the fact that "food is just food." Eating one type of food over another isn't good or bad, it doesn't make ME good or bad either. It just is what it is. My recommendation for others is to not let your vision of your future self be an illusive carrot that you never feel you get any closer to. The confidence and joy that this journey has given me has been worth everything it has taken to get here. You are capable. If I could do it, anyone can.
