I love the daily feedback and the huge level of support y'all offer. It was so valuable to have that support to find what worked for me and my body. I also love the videos and emails that gave me new tips and helped so much.

Before I started MyBodyTutor, I was sitting on the couch a lot and thinking about exercising, but not actually doing it. Additionally, I gave myself a lot of negative self-talk whenever I did something that didn’t fit into my diet and exercise plan. I was very out of shape, getting very winded with mild exertion, like going up the stairs to my apartment and walking a few blocks. I was drinking heavily, packing on pounds, and feeling stuck. I have tried multiple diets and exercise programs. I did paleo but I became very allergic to almonds, which are used as a substitute for many items. I did a Massey Fit nutrition and workout plan, but I injured my foot and developed tendinitis. But my biggest stumbling block has been wanting perfection and then not being able to adapt once a curveball is thrown at me. I heard about MyBodyTutor on the BiggerPockets podcast, and I hoped to get into better shape to be able to keep up with my new baby niece as she learns to crawl and walk. And to be able to participate in activities I love to do, like rock climbing and kayaking, without feeling so exhausted afterward. So far I have lost 9 lbs and I am much more active than when I started. I do at least 10 minutes of exercise a day minimum, and on several days I will do longer exercises/activities such as going for walks, parkour classes, hand balancing classes, aerial classes, rock climbing, and cycling. My tutor helped me realize and act on the fact that since I don’t like weight lifting (I get bored with repetitive exercises) that I need to find things that excite me more and have a backup plan for days when I can’t do those more exciting things. Additionally, my tutor helped me with mindful eating, which has been a big part of reducing my food intake. I committed to 6 months because I know in any weight loss journey, it can be easy to get discouraged if you don’t see results quickly. I needed a way to ensure I would continue trying past the 1-month mark. For me, it worked because it took a few months for me to really buy in and make changes, and while the scale didn’t really move at first, my waistline started shrinking and clothes started fitting better. Had I only done 1 month, I would never have made it to those results.

When it came to taking care of myself, I was totally fragmented. I'd try plans like Whole30, give myself food rules, and I'd try to give up "bad" foods, only to fail. And I was afraid I'd always be hungry if I wanted to control my weight. I was looking online for a weight loss coach when I found MyBodyTutor. My hope was to lose at least 15 pounds, but really my goal was to learn how to eat for life and to be able to maintain my weight comfortably. With the support of my tutor, I've lost 15 pounds, and it feels great! I fit comfortably into my clothes. I focus on my health and not the number on the scale. And I have realized that emotional eating is something that impacts all of us and that until you understand why you eat, it's tough to ever understand how to change your behavior. MyBodyTutor is all about support, accountability, and teaching you how to get your mind right about food and eating. I knew before I joined that the financial commitment was tough, but MyBodyTutor was worth every penny! Your health is 100% the best investment you can make! You can pay to take care of yourself now or pay more later when you've neglected your health.

I’d eat mostly healthy foods for my main meals, but I binged on junk from about 3 pm until about 9 pm, constantly going to the kitchen to have just a little bit more. When I was out, I had very little self-control, especially in situations where there was finger food available. Then, I'd beat myself up pretty much every night before going to bed and promise to change the next day. This self-sabotage was on repeat for me for years, if not decades, and even though I knew about it, I couldn't stop it. My exercise has been mostly good for a long time and has included long-distance running and gym work. Diet has been my major challenge, and even though my exercise was OK, I've had a few decades of steady weight gain. Over this time, I've tried pretty much everything out there—low carb, paleo, fasting, cutting out alcohol, counting calories, etc., and nothing had really stuck. Then I read a post on Medium, and it was like a lightbulb came on. I realized it was all about long-term, sustainable weight loss, not the quick fix/yo-yo diets I've tried before. Before I started with MyBodyTutor, I had the usual surface-level positivity feeling of "this will be great." But, I also had a deeper-level fear that I'd fail again, like all my other attempts, which would reinforce my self-sabotage and habits. I had to discover what was going on at a deep level and change it. I was also concerned about the cost. I've spent so much on this stuff over the years that I thought it'd be more money I've wasted, and I resisted that. I'm also a very independent person and struggle to ask for help in most situations. I wasn't sure about the value of having a coach for my health or if I'd get anything out of it. After so many failures, MyBodyTutor was my last shot at breaking the cycle of self-sabotage and bad habits. If not, I was facing years of being overweight/obese and all the health problems that go with that. Even though I knew all the bad health outcomes were coming down the track, I simply couldn't change. So I had high expectations of the program, but as weird as it may sound, I also had high expectations that I'd fail again. I lost around 10 kg (22 pounds) with MyBodyTutor and reached my goal. I've got a new set of healthy habits that are now second nature to me, so I can call on them pretty much whenever I need to. I can pass by food in the kitchen without wanting to eat it. I can go to parties and eat and drink moderate amounts. I know how to make progress with my diet and exercise every day, knowing it's always about progress, not perfection. I will stuff up sometimes—maybe for a meal, maybe longer—and that's actually OK, and how most people are. I know how to get back on track and have the tools to keep me there forever. Trust me, after trying nearly every other diet and health program out there, MyBodyTutor is different. It is the only one that gets deep into what's truly going on with habits, mindset, and self-sabotage and works to change those in a sustainable way. It's not about a quick-fix diet to lose 5 kg in a week only to gain it all back. Instead, it's about coaching, support, and accountability to make small changes that lead to big changes. These changes gradually become second nature, and they do create the new you—forever. After decades of looking for something which would be the last "diet" I ever tried, I basically just stumbled on MyBodyTutor. Still, I questioned the value of it and resisted signing up for weeks. But in the 'end,' I've hit my goal weight and am lighter than I've been in 3 decades. It's such a relief after trying for so long. But more importantly, I know I can stay at that weight because I got to the bottom of the reasons I was continually failing and self-sabotaging and because I also have a new set of habits that are now second nature to me. My only regret is not finding MyBodyTutor earlier and then not signing up as soon as I found it. This is unquestionably the best investment I have ever made for my health and well-being. Having a coach and the accountability and support that goes with it is what I needed to change, to understand how I work, what my habits were, and how I could change them. If you're thinking about joining, give it a shot. I'm sure you will find it life-changing, just as I have.

I’m enjoying MyBodyTutor so much. I’ve been doing it for about 6 weeks. I’m learning to have control in areas related to food/fitness and outside them. My coach is wonderful. I’ve tried literally every diet there is. This one is different. And I’m down 20 lbs!! I would highly recommend the program!

I love MyBodyTutor! As I told Jess (my coach) earlier this week, it’s incredibly seamless— it’s harder NOT to keep in touch than it is to keep in contact with Jess, and the way this is designed, I somehow feel as if my supportive coach Jess is by my side all day. I’m making better choices and learning to cheer myself on rather than beat myself up. MyBodyTutor is an Incredible program!! I wish more people knew about it. Obviously I’ll be telling everyone I can but it feels like something that’s ready for prime time. Just my 2 cents. Very grateful for you guys.

MyBodyTutor worked great for me. I was 134lbs when I joined the program, reaching my target weight of 115lbs in just over five months. Before joining the program, I knew I used food as a crutch to feel better. However, I didn't have the tools to get out of that habit loop of eating to feel better. During COVID, I gained about 12lbs, and I had a hard time losing that extra baggage. It was baffling to me why I wasn't losing weight. In general, I make good food choices for the most part. My problem was that I had to feel a sense of satiety before putting my plate away. I am prediabetic and my morning fasting glucose levels were consistently coming high. I knew I had to take action to care for my health. In December 2021, I read a book called Who not How. After reading that book, I was motivated to enlist help to regain my health. I had several options - signing up at a local gym, hiring a personal trainer, or joining MyBodyTutor. I heard about MyBodyTutor through BiggerPockets. There were three main reasons why I chose MyBodyTutor over other options: The daily accountability. It is based on food, not just on exercise. MyBodyTutor taught lifelong skills to keep off the weight forever. I am so glad that I chose to sign up with MBT. Being part of the program exceeded my expectations! The daily feedback I received from Monica, my tutor, helped me stay motivated. I used to be hard on myself when I wasn't making the right eating choices. She gently pointed me to all the good options I had chosen that day. And she reminded me that I must give myself a break. She gave me tips on when I eat out, when I am traveling on business and when I am on vacation. In addition to the feedback from Monica, I also devoured all the emails I received from Adam. The videos made by Adam and Haley are amazing. Their sage advice and deep insights into human behavior kept me going. As I incorporated MyBodyTutor principles into my daily life, other areas in my life also started to improve. For example, I began to realize the types of incidents (in life and at work) that triggered me emotionally. Instead of relying on food, I started to take walks, showers, watch videos, and spend time on self-reflection. Just this habit of bringing awareness to the feeling of discomfort will stay with me for the rest of my life. After seeing my health and fitness results, my husband was also motivated to lose his COVID weight. He started to eat healthily and started working out again. It was amazing to see that I was positively impacting my family too. I am grateful to the MyBodyTutor team for bringing sustainable change to my life! I have recommended MyBodyTutor to several of my friends as well. Keep up the excellent work! -- Shalini

The MyBodyTutor program is amazing! The approach this program offers is exactly what I was looking for. I've known exactly what I need to do, but haven't been able to stick to it. I found MBT because I realized I needed some sort of coach to walk by my side, help me practice what I know, share knowledge that I don't have, and keep me accountable when I hit the walls that usually knock me down. I like the mental, emotional, and physical overhaul and am excited for the day when these practices become a habit. I cried during my first call with my coach because, although I'm doing this for me, I was scared of failing her. She said I will not fail her and her genuine belief in me, plus sharing that there is no failing, hit my heart and made me begin to believe in myself. I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

honestly believed I was beyond hope and that I was incapable of losing weight. I think I still have a niggling fear that I won’t be able to continue losing weight and I still have quite a long way to go, but I’m definitely on the right track! I love the daily accountability. So far it is making all the difference for me. Not just having another set of eyes on your day via my coach, Sandra, but really having to face my daily food choices helps me to see when things aren’t working. I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

I struggled with hating myself because I could not control my weight. I constantly thought about food and about what I would have for my next meal. I am type 2 diabetic and was taking so much insulin to control my blood sugar that I was on an insulin pump. I also have fibromyalgia and didn't move much because of pain and fatigue. I was beginning to doubt that I would ever be able to improve my health. I've tried Optifast and the HMR programs. Both have their own food and are 800 calories per day. I did lose weight, but then gained it back plus more. I had also tried counting calories and low-fat diets with no success. None of these taught me how to eat or considered my individual needs, let alone my likes and dislikes. They all did nothing to address my relationship with food. I did a web search for diet coaches, and MyBodyTutor was one of the results. Everything I read about it was positive. I was originally looking for an in-person coach, someone local, and I was a little hesitant to go virtual. But I joined because I was hopeful that I could change my relationship with food, lose weight, move more, and improve my health. My hopes were exceeded! I relate to food differently now and in a much more healthy way. My weight loss has been slow; I've lost 50 lbs in 19 months. But most importantly, my health has improved. I no longer need any insulin or Metformin, and my A1C is the lowest it's been at 6.2. I'm taking much less blood pressure medication. Although fibromyalgia still limits me somewhat, I am now moving every day and can go hiking, which I enjoy. I am confident I will continue to lose weight and improve my health with the knowledge, methods, and tools taught to me by my tutor. MyBodyTutor considers the individual. It is not a pre-determined program that is the same for everyone. Your tutor meets you where you are, considers your specific likes and dislikes, and leads you by baby steps until a healthy, sustainable eating plan is developed just for you. The tutor addresses the relationship you have with food and gives concrete steps to develop a healthy one. Physical fitness is discussed, and, again, they meet you where you are and help you improve in small steps. If you're concerned about hiring a virtual coach, I found the distance of a remote tutor, or coach, is not a barrier. I never found myself wishing I had found someone local.

MyBodyTutor taught me the true fundamentals of focusing on WHY we're eating before tackling what we're eating. I had always associated "emotional eating" with crying over a tub of ice cream, which I have never done, so I didn't think I needed to go all the way back to those basics. However, by observing my cravings and actions I was able to pretty easily eliminate most of my snacking as being related to non-physical hunger and lose weight.

I finally decided that I wanted to be healthy. I weighed more than I ever had and was not feeling great. I was struggling to do it on my own when my friend introduced me to Adam and his team at MyBodyTutor. I signed up and never looked back. They were exactly the people I was looking for. There are no diets or diet pills. There is no shaming or guilt. They are there simply to help you achieve your goals by partnering you with a personal coach and giving you encouragement and tips on how to be healthy while living in the real world. No food is off the table. They work with how you live your life, offering help and advice on tweaking things. They know we’re not perfect and that we may stumble but that’s okay. When we do, they help us to break down why it happened and gently guide us back on track. It’s about creating healthy habits. Thanks to MyBodyTutor I now walk everyday and do about half an hour of exercises every other day. I no longer eat after supper. Not because I am not supposed to but because I realized that I wasn’t hungry, it was just something I did. I eat what I want but now I really think about whether I am really hungry or not or why do I want to eat. I don’t feel deprived and feel really good about myself. The team at MyBodyTutor is always there for me when I need them. They send emails, have tutorials, phone you etc. It’s all about you and helping you achieve your goals. I highly recommend the program!

I have tried every diet known to man and I finally realized they don't work. I am so grateful that I found this program. The one thing that I didn't think I could do was stick with MBT and not jump ship...That is thanks to Lenora. The other is that I could actually lose weight and still socialize and live a normal life without having to isolate myself. I am no longer the chronic dieter who used to stress out about every meal out, weekend, social event and holiday. With MBT that stress is gone and I am finally free living a full life and still able to lose weight!!
