“I missed the log in email and now cannot access the company as chat is either waiting for connection or 20 th in line. No phone number for enquires- if I had known this I would have reconsidered but they have the full car insurance money and wondering if this is a scam”
“I took out a motor insurance policy, via Compare The Market because of the terms I wanted were included in the policy.
I completed the transaction and then had to pay an extra £75 for the two services I believed were included in the quote.
I cancelled the policy within 22 hours and was charged £50 cancellation fee.
Extremely disappointed.”

The product was cheap to buy through a price comparison site.
The subsequent online-only service is totally frustrating.
When needing to discuss and resolve an accident the process was impenetrable and evasive. Each agent told me that they were unable to help me and that a different agent would deal with my questions.
The online chat service was not available at the advertised times on the website.
My accident has not been resolved yet but my experience has been unacceptable so far.”
“Very slow service took 4 weeks to tell me my car was written off passed back and forward to different departments who then lost pictures and letters which had to be resent not helpful at all at a time where stress and worry was at a high . Would not recommend to anyone .”

“I had an absolutely awful first experience with one protect. I insured the car and then 2 weeks afterwards had an email saying they were going to cancel the insurance and didn't give a reason why. When I called them they said that they had sent two letters asking for proof of no claims which I told them I had not received and was shocked at the email out of the blue threatening to stop my policy. I sent the proof of no claims straight away and then over a week later received two letters in the post asking for proof of no claims. This was after I was threatened with my policy being terminated by email. Never had this in over 40 years of driving and was an awful and stressful experience”
“Taken out car insurance & noticed an additional £25 had been taken from my account. Have tried numerous times to speak to the insurers but failed. I’m very disappointed that there isn’t anyway that I can do this”
“i called one protect to ask if we were insured for cash in the house the answer was no the next thing i got we had a letter saying we made a claim we did not make a claim because we did not get a payment you did not payout so why am i on insurance register as making a claim can you take my name off the register”
“Despite Insurance companies ability to talk to each other, you refused to accept that a "claim" that you referred to was not a claim at all , simply a notification to my insurer that a " no fault" incident had taken place and did not incur ANY costs to my insurer .
The result of this refusal was to charge me an extra £187.81 though I was in no way to blame for what occurred. So, the victim was penalised.You could have easily verified that what I said was true but you decide to overcharge me instead.”
“Chose One Protect because of price. Paid in full and about a week later they wanted proof of no claims bonus. I sent a screenshot from my previous insurer’s notification of no claims bonus. Apparently this is not good enough. So this is causing me lots of stress.”
“Very disappointed. My no claims was disputed said I had a claim 6 years ago and charged £40 extra and £42 admin fee. There was no phone number to discuss only a chat bot which was available for a limited time during the day. Was unable to contact anyone about this and ended paying £82 more than quote. Will not use again.”
