I was about to insure a motorcycle having stated it had been imported when completing my details. Just before I bought it I read the small print which stated it must not have been imported from outside the UK!!!!! (Why ask??)

“The insurance company we choose was terrible. After we brought the insurance they mentioned your not insuranced you have to up load v5, licences and ofcourse no claims which was fine. But the link did not work, they kept passing me around. You then need to log into your portal which isn't activated because your documents are not uploaded. After 8 hours if stress, they then said its a extra 80.00 pounds. PLEASE becareful ONEPROTECT.”
“First experience with One Protect seemed straightforward, best the end there was an issue, so I chatted with two different agents , still and issue continued . Determined to complete what I had begun I began another chat; thankfully agent KL6 very quickly assisted understood and the new insurance was complete very efficiently. All done , I shall download the app .

Absolutely vile that I scrapped my car and they charged me £80 to cancel the policy! What am I meant to do? Continue driving a car that’s not roadworthy / too much to fix?
That and them having no way of contacting them on the phone.

“Horrendous company to deal with. Only chat function, spent 1.5hrs on it for a very basic query. Have used the chat twice and both times the same, very lengthy and not helpful at all. Cancelled policy, which was also painful and not done correctly. Will never use again and do not recommend to anyone. Hate to think how they would handle a claim if they can't deal with a basic admin query.”
“Be careful, they advertise a product on the website but the circumstances change when you click on the proceed to buy. Tried to cancel the policy after a few hours (cooling-off period) but the charge you £50 to do so.”
“Terrible Experience with OneProtect – Avoid This Company!
I had an extremely frustrating experience with OneProtect Car Insurance, and I strongly advise others to avoid them. After canceling my policy, I was shocked to find that they continued taking money from my account. I had followed the proper cancellation process, yet they still charged me without authorization.
What made the situation even worse was how difficult it was to get in touch with their customer service. They are nearly impossible to reach by phone, and when you do manage to get through, the support is unhelpful and slow. It feels like they intentionally make it hard for customers to resolve issues, leaving you stuck without answers.
A reputable insurance company should be transparent, easy to communicate with, and respectful of their customers’ decisions. Unfortunately, OneProtect has failed on all of these fronts. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service make them one of the worst insurance providers I have dealt with.
If you’re considering OneProtect, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other insurance providers that treat their customers fairly and professionally. Don’t make the same mistake I did—save yourself the stress and go with a company that actually values its policyholders.”
“Disappointing that I could not simply talk to someone. I initially went on line to add some drivers to my policy. It couldn't be dealt with online so had to do it via the chat. Very frustrating that I had to AGAIN go through all the same questions. Took another hour to complete. However, I must say that Ei1 (username) was very helpful and professional.”
