“There was no honesty in the dealings, I definitely did not get what I asked fore in short I was scammed the deal was changed after payment was made. it was clear to me that the deal included meals as I requested but I was cheated. furthermore I enquired with the hotel the amount I paid was their standard rate per day for meals to be included of which you paid less ( only room rate) self catering. to make matters worse I phoned before payment was made about the self catering issue and I was assured that this is so to facilitate the deal it does include meal. I feel CHEATED!!!”

We are disappointed to hear that you feel our correspondence with you was not clear in regards to the booking details. On the quote sent to you, we stated: "Self-catering units are room only and exclude breakfast and dinner.". We assumed that this would make it clear for all meals to be excluded during your stay. Furthermore, on 14. April 2014 (17h05), our booking confirmation forwarded to you mentioned "Please be advised that a self catering 2 bedroom chalet has been booked to accommodate your family." We are terribly sorry should you feel that we failed to meet your expectations, it was not our intention at all to mislead you in anyway. We try to provide our clients with as much information as possible about their booking details and provide written correspondence thereof. “I work in Construction in Africa and have been doing so for the last 15 years. It is always a challenge to book hotels on line, sometimes there are specific policies that hotel groups have that restrict you from doing a booking - especially if your plane arrives late at night. I struggled to get a booking at a certain hotel inside OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa - but after using the services of the south-african-hotels.com website I managed to have a booking in under 15 minutes, paid for, and finalized. The service is without a doubt - fast, effective and very efficient. I have no reservations to recommend this company for any visitor to South Africa. In future this will be my go-to-company when doing any hotel bookings when flying into and out of South Africa.”

“I was surprised that on previous bookings direct with the hotel I had not needed to pay anything but only to give credit card details, and to pay on arrival at hotel. This option was not given by the agent. There was not a further request for the balance of the full payment when this became due, until I emailed the hotel to ask what the situation was. In future bookings I shall attempt to deal directly with the hotel as there seemed much disadvantage in my inadvertently booking with SA Hotels.”

As we offer discounted rates for the hotels, the hotels do require the full prepayment from us for our clients bookings. At the time the booking is made, a 15% deposit is payable to guarantee the booking. 2 - 3 weeks prior to the check in date, the outstanding balance is required. At this time, we contact our clients per e-mail. We understand that there might be an inconvenience in prepaying, however this does come with the service of us also being able to cancel the booking for you without charge and making amendments to your existing bookings. “The service was okay while that of the contact person I related with Anel, was exceptional- very prompt responses by mail on enquiries and concerns raised. However, delay in sorting out payment with hotels despite evidence of transfer well ahead of our trip caused anxiety each time we were checking into a hotel. I suggest a system that would take care of such lapses so client would be encouraged to reach you again whenever the need arises.”

“I had booked a double room only to be put in a single room. The Lodge said all the double rooms were occupied and there was nothing they could do. They called your office and told me that you were closed for the weekend.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Airport Grand Hotel we will definitely coming back again by the end of May on business but this time we will need accommodation that is close the Sunton City and which provides a shuttle from the airport. The food was also great but the waitresses just need to be more open and approachable - just a little bit of friendliness on their part in my view, will do wonders in the dining room. Regards WMG”
