Yell is one of the worst companies I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. I'd recently become self employed and they called me up and made me feel like they could help. Nothing they promised came to fruition and I got tied into a contract of £80 a month which I couldn't get out of without being threatened with legal action. YELL IS A SCAM please save yourself the pain.

I wish I could leave a review with 10 minus stars! They absolutely outright lie about what their advertising can do to reel you in. They then trap you are you in a 12 month contract with no mention of your statutory rights. No leads come from the advertising. I rang up to complain told its my fault and I need a Yell website. The stats they show you only exist in yell land. Its all BS. You should be ashamed Yell you are targeting small businesses, that work really hard for a living. A days pay a month goes to you for nothing in return. Avoid Yell, read other reviews they all say the same.

Yell are a disgrace. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Lie to reel you in, it's all absolute BS. They cant get you any work, just steal your money every month. customer service is a joke. Ask them to make sure you are getting what you pay for, of course you are they said. Look for my VIP situated business in an area they are contracted to put me in, 43rd down the list!

Please dont waste your money I have never had one call via YELL or any other feed they supply. Only through the counselling directory. I agree with all the other views I have thrown my money down the drain using YELL. No highter up the google rankings, still on page 14 (which is a waist of time). PLEASE DONT BE COND BY THEM LIKE I WAS! AVOID,AVOID,AVOID

Notified them of a fake business at my home address. I've been in contact 3 times. They have proof that I really do live here. No action. Any scammer can put a business ad up with them. Apparently (and quote from Yell!) they take the advertisers "word" ... not to mention only a mobile phone number.... My actual proof is not taken as anything. Conversation on chat solves nothing. And they haven't got back to me.

Set up a "free" listing on Yell. Was then harassed with calls from them wanting to complete my listing. Complete rubbish they then proceeded to spend hours on the phone with me trying to sell me everything under the sun. Dont think they realise that im a website designer and very experienced in marketing and advertising. Told me a pack if lies regarding being a premier Google partner and that my website would rank for the search terms relevant to my business when asked how he would do that he didnt know what he was talking about. Who uses Yell for anything other than a backlink ? Yell uses a Duda website builder available for a few pounds a month which a 3 year old could use yet they still cant build a website. There reputation managet is a product called vnext which is again not their product but they charge 40 a month for it. Their ppc is Google adword which they take 40% of your budget as a commission for "managing" your campaign which they are terrible at running. They use internal analytics and use impressions to sell and justify there rubbish. An impression is uselss if they dont click onto your website. They refuse to install Google analytics or will charge you for it. If you leave and they manage your social media they wont give it back to you. If tou want to cancel they will avoid you. They dont offer a cooling off oeriod so when it doesnt work you're stuck with it. There contact forms on thier website dont work so when someone makes an enquiry on your website you wont be made aware. They spam trustpilot with fake reviews. I mean i could go on all day here but i hope you get the picture. DO NOT USE YELL !

1 star is flattering, but I can't go any lower. Their pay-per-click is 100% money down the drain. They will spend hours on the phone convincing you that thousands searches are being made in your area for your industry; then they trap you in a contract paying them hundreds of pounds a month where they do absolutely nothing for your business. Yes, you'll have a "dedicated" account manager, but they're trained to BS you with statistics, and will actually argue with you that it's your fault no one is responding to the ads they designed. In six months I paid them £900 to receive 4 phone calls that had nothing to do with my business.

Yell upload fake reviews which are not verified against businesses that are not registered with them deliberately to cause them damage. The only way you can then have a review supressed or removed is if you become a paying customer of yell. Absolutely disgusting behaviour by yell.

I was sold a 12 month contract which I am 8 months into costing over £230 per month. The sales advisor claimed it would be great for my buisiness which sounded like a good investment. The delivery of the product sold to me has been very poor and had no value in return for my money. I would not recommend this company.

Yell is like the Coronavirus yell.com is like a virus targeting small business owners who have very little traffic or small income coming in. They will let you use a free listing but soon, they would start calling you to upsell a service. I understand that a business is made to make a profit but does not mean they should care more for profit than customer care. Now let's get down to business. I use to run a project that sadly never worked out on the free listing, so I called them to go for a paid listing and that I would be paying about £60.00 something per month for 12 months, was this a contract, yes, After an amount of time I asked an agent on live chat I wish to cancel my contract, but, they told me to use an online form to cancel the contract so I did, after that, I got an email saying we got the email and will reply within an amount of time, did they get back to me, well I'm sorry to pop your bubble, but no they did not get back to me, so that tells you that they want to get much money out of your pockets as they can. Any email I got from them was saying you own us money, all I did was ignored them because I was in the civil rights that I don't have to pay what I don't own. After the last email that was sent to me, I got letters from a debit agent called Moorcroft Debt Recovery saying I own over £800, were in my brain can I find that sort of cash? If yell.com was to take me to court I will tell the truth and nothing but the truth because I have proof from other small business owners who are sold a false service that yell.com can not provide. Are the 5-star reviews on Trustpilot true or false? It's up to you what you wish to believe but read carefully at them reviews vs the bad reviews, because of the bad reviews they are telling people warnings to keep well away from such a scam company.
