The plug plant I received looks nothing like it was shown on the website. It doesn't look healthy at all and certainly won't be flourishing to plant out in September. The 1st picture is what they say it should look like, the 2nd picture is the reality. £9.99 I have paid for this, I could have purchased an established one for a bit more. They have advised they will look at my complaint if the plant hasn't started flourishing in 30 days. It looks on its last legs which they don't appear to be acknowledging this

2 Gardenias 'Celestial Star' ordered and received February 2021. They didn't look in great shape but I looked after them in our greenhouse until it eventually became obvious that neither had thrived. It was now early May and these gardenias were out of stock. It was not possible to get through on the freephone number, so I emailed Customer Services. Response from Yougarden said I could choose anything else to the same value but it had to be order via Freephone. Today (June 21) I did get through on Freephone and spoke to Alex who was very helpful and said 'Celestial Star' is back in stock if I would like replacements, which I have agreed to. Still need to pay £6.99 P & P as outside the 30 day guarantee. This seems to be to be counter-productive for Yougarden as it is better for customers financially to reject plant/s within 30 days even if it's not yet clear whether the plants will survive. I suggest that perennial plants should have longer than 30 days with customer to assess viability before re-order triggers further P & P.

Wrong rose sent. Two emails sent were unanswered Phoned and got through after 10 minutes. Person at end was helpful but onus was on us to organise return. Decided to keep wrong rose as too much trouble to return. Will not use again. Third email of complaint still not answered

Plants arrived in poor condition. Some died, as expected, within a few days. I took photos and emailed one month ago and twice since Still no response. Will not use again due to lack of response and help, which is a shame.

I ordered 40 plus plug trailing begonias my mothers favourite hanging basket plant in memory of my father (last year the plants were very good) when they arrived they were battered and not in good condition managed to save possibly 20 plants fingers crossed sent an email and a photo as requested have been offered a half refund as they don't have any plus plug plants and now ordered 20 garden ready plugs and hopefully they arrive in a better condition had to pay postage again so nearly cost double the initial amount and may have enough plants to do some hanging baskets could blame the couriers but no information on the package to handle with care or keep upright You garden is a company that this replacement will be the last order from us

This is actually a second review ...follow on from review couple days ago regarding purchase of potted Rose with no new shoots on just three cut of stems. Well I have today decided to plant the said rose out in the hope it would help the poor specimen of a thing to sprout some new growth. Not a chance, poor thing had barley any root & fell out of pot with loose soil everywhere. Obviously a bare root plant been shoved into a pot for my order & charged me extra for a dead potted Rose bush . I have thrown it into compost bin & learnt a lesson, I only wish I had read the very many bad one star reviews beforehand. This certainly seems to be a rip off company only after your money . I haven't bothered trying to get a replacement or refund as from what people have said you will have a rite fight on your hands & I just don't need the hassle. The standard Lilac I shall plant & just hope it grows into something decent. I would avoid this company like the plaque.

Extremely disappointed with quality & size of the rose in tiny little pot no leaves or even sign of any buds on what so ever, just three tiny little 3 inch cut back stems. For the same price I have just returned from garden center with a lovely strong plant in large pot with new growth a good 8 inches with plenty of new stem & leaf growth. The standard Lilac is nowhere near the size stated a flimsy thin stick, with flimsy few branches not worth what it cost. I certainly learnt a lesson &would not recommend buying from this company & I won't make the same mistake again . Lesson certainly learnt.

It says, "delivered". It hasn't been. The website says, "once it's been delivered, it's no longer our responsibility". I have a DOOR CAMERA. I know it's not been delivered. Never again

If I could give no stars I would! I bought a "Grow Your Own Magazine" which offered readers free seed potatoes and a reduced cost for 3 large patio pots to grow them in. All you had to do was pay the poatage. You had to go to the You Garden website and choose the patio potatoes and the 3 large pots. At the check out you entered the code detail in the magazine. Once you had done this you could see the free poatoes and the reduced cost pots. As a new customer you were then prompted to put a welcome code in which gave you a further 10% discount. I received my pots a couple of days ago. No potatoes ! and I was charged the full amount for the pots ! I contacted You Garden customer service by email and the reply was "sorry but this was your fault". You Garden are conning genuine customers of "Grow Your Own" magazine out of money. Money is tight when you are an old aged pensioner like me

I ordered a black adder phormium . What I received was not the same plant as I had previously owned. It was a much smaller purple phormium. Not worth the money. Very disappointing.

D & D Tried to order a pair of Cypress trees from You Garden by phone today. Problem arose when it came to the delivery cost. On the advertising pamphlet the price was given as £6.99 but I was quoted £16.99 for the service although our post code, AB15 7LG is a normal delivery and not in Highland as stated by the sales person. No problems with other delivery companies when ordering online or by phone. Disappointed and cancelled the order. Very poor service.

Appalling customer service. I ordered some pansies and a perennial. After a couple of weeks where I didn’t receive any updates on dispatch I contacted the company for an update and was given a dispatch date of the end of September, some weeks after I made my order. At the beginning of October I had to contact them again to ask where my order was and was given another date of 13 October. I was informed that they would not send the order until all plants were ready. I then received the perennial on its own, and an email saying the dispatch date would be the middle of October. It’s now 18th and the information hadd so not been updated. It has felt like pulling teeth to get any information from them and I have just cancelled that part of my order. Seriously disappointed - surely keeping customers up to date shouldn’t be that hard?
