“I ordered from a newspaper Add which stated {Buy 10 get 10 free +free fertiliser} The Add also said you must use offer code [5 times] NQ387.
Nowhere does it say “if you use this code you don’t get the freebies”. I feel scammed. I phoned and was told there nothing they could do!”

“Absolutely appalled with customer service and communication. Ordered three planters for a community project and failed to receive any confirmation or updates of delivery. We called on over five occasions, consistently being promised we would receive call backs and written email confirmations and never did. The communication and delivery updates are absolutely shocking and we were left completely in the dark regarding our £500+ order. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for gardening equipment”
“Happy? You are having a laugh, this company is a pile of sh1te. I ordered two Fuchsia trees. When they arrived, one was battered and broken, the other had been tipped out of its pot and had lost nearly all its branches. When the company deemed to reply to one of multiple requests for a refund, I was told the trees are supposed to look like that and after a few seasons would be proper trees. Rubbish, what they had sent me were simply tatty looking standards. The ones outside ASDA dying through lack of water are in better condition. Their reply didn't even acknowledge that one of the trees had actually died. I will never deal with these cowboys again and would advise others to avoid them also.”
“Badly packed and out of it's pot when it arrived, we contacted their customer service (very unhelpful) and they told us to keep it for a month unfortunately it died, we contacted them again and we sent photos as requested and in one conversation was told it was very dry then after another set of photos we were told it's too wet. Finally we contacted Amazon who sent us a refund. Very poor experience and I would never shop with them again”

“Ordered 6 fuchsias via DM site on 5 June. Accepted a delivery delay until 15 June ish. No delivery, advised that there was an import delay then later advised a six week delay. All for 6 fuchsia! In the meantime constantly bombarded with garden ads. Cancelled order and received a quick refund.”

Since then I have been trying to get £14.99 refunded to me.
The major problem seems to be that the customer services agents who do their best to help are based in South Africa and have no ability to activate refunds. All this is done by head office in Peterborough.
After 'escalating' the call the customer service agent was yet again told to inform me that my cheque would be sent within 30 days.
On the form which arrives with the plant it states:
Please allow us to rectify any issues before leaving feedback.
I feel that I have been patient enough.
The CEO Peter McDermott and the board need to take responsibility for the problems.
I am also going to contact Woman and Home magazine which is where I saw the advert

“I bought two bare root fruit trees. They charged £8.99 delivery which I hadnt noticed until the confirmation of order details. I have questioned it and was told that although the delivery is £6.99 I have incurred surcharges which make it £8.99. I asked them to clarify what the surcharges were for and was told that some buyers have to pay surcharged when they buy certain goods and services. They didn’t explain further. I will not be ordering from them again and will cancel my membership.”
“Don't buy from this company. Customer service is terrible - ordered 2 hanging baskets and waited a month for them to arrive and when they did, they were dried out and brown!!! Customer service said they had probably been with the courier too long!! They didn't provide a refund, telling me that they would come back to life with watering!!”
