There is a good reason why Zavvi has such bad reviews the company response to a problem is apaphathetic it took me 10 weeks to obtain a refund after over 100 hundred emails 2 letters two telephone calls and threat of putting the directors home. Addresses online before obtains any truthful response from them they reply with false emails tell lies and blame othe departments I have had a dreadful experience they hope that you will give up on your refund after time and I nearly did but then many do and that's their philosophy corporate jargon the spew out with empty promises a truly crap company avoid like an STI

i returned a faulty tablet in January i have been promised a refund no fewer that seven times but it never happens i email receive email back to say sorry and we understand your frustration and again an email stating within 3-5 days it will be refunded, i now have over 100 emails between twitter direct zavvi and i have written two letters one recorded delivery and recieved no reply and still no refund, what do you have to do to get your company to do a refund or do you just not do them hoping the buyers gives up as i am sure many do. regards frank willetts

I received a damaged item from Zavvi (Third time in two orders). After being sent a returns label that didn't work, I had to pay the return postage myself. I contacted Zavvi, who told me that there is nothing they can do. This company frequently sends damaged goods, and then makes you pay the return postage. Avoid at all costs.

Item not dispatched for several days. Whilst item was still with the company I asked to cancel as it was a gift that now would not be received on time. The cancellation policy states buyers can cancel within 14 days without reason. Even though the item had not left the company I was advised I must wait for dispatch which would be 'soon' and delivery which could take a further 7 days and then return the item. I'd have to them wait for a refund. Completely unacceptable. Will steer clear in future and recommend others do too.

zavvi.com Sent a copy of Finding Dory that doesn't play in American DVD players. After trying the DVD in several players they would not allow us to return because it was now opened. Kids are heartbroken about their useless Christmas present thanks to Zavvi.com Sent several requests for a return but was rejected by auto reply. They didn't even bother to personally respond to this issue. Please shop on Amazon or any other site that stands behind their products.

I ordered one Zbox and these are a rare treat when i have a bit of extra money left over. I go into my bank to find a further £19.99 has been taken out my account and it took me, my mother and sister almost 2 hours to find a query page. They informed me that as the 14 day window of cancellation had closed, they were unable to refund me the £19.99 but assured me that the subscription would be cancelled. I checked my bank again today to find ANOTHER £19.99 has been taken out. I am struggling to understand what happened. Their customer services page is awful and very unhelpful. once i get this subscription sorted. I am never ordering from them again. Disgraceful

i purchased a viglen tablet which after a few days became faulty i returned the tablet on the 16th January and had acknowledgement that Zavvi had recieved it, from then on apart from me contacting Zavvi i would have had no responses i have after 47 emails mostly through twitter recieved no fewer that five emails to say the product has been cancelled and the refund with be in 3-5 working days this is now some six weeks later and still no refund only promises and emails stating sorry and thank you for your patience wouldn't it be nice if some one actually dealt with the situation rather than email a standard corporate reply.

still waiting for the postage, which was promised, after I returned a faulty item to them on the same day. Surely with the internet/social media we could all gang up on them? By the way does anyone have a UK number for them that they actually answer?

This is in relation to a specific problem: Zavvi advertised a ps4 for £180 and I purchased it, then two days later I checked on the order's progress using their website and it had been cancelled. They had not notified me of this and provided no explanation. I then proceeded to try and extract even the smallest amount of information from their 'customer service' team. The only way of doing this is through an online form which you then get a reply from a 'do not reply' email address. There's no way to have a conversation with an actual person, and each message comes completely separately so you have to explain the situation each time. There is also a character limit on the correspondence box, so you can't possibly fit all the relevant information into your complaint. It turns out my order was cancelled because I did not 'meet with their security requirements." I have asked on two separate occasions for clarification of what that meant. I personally suspect that they had incorrectly priced the item and were using this as an excuse to cancel the order (The second time I checked it was up to £240). They asked me to provide a proof of address in order to be able to make an order - I don't know if anyone has ever been asked to do this before buying an item on the internet before, but I certainly haven't. It all smells a bit fishy to me. The thing that possibly made my blood boil the most was that they completely ignored things that I said in correspondence with them. An example is: "This is the fourth time I have had to contact you about my order 87485752. You are not answering my direct questions. I am uploading proof of address 'for future orders', but this does not explain why my current order, referenced above, has not been processed. Please explain. Also please contact me in a way I can reply directly or at least prove you are reading my full message by giving a reason why you cannot do this." Reply: "Hello Ben , Thank you for getting in touch about order 87485752. Thank you very much for providing the requested document. We can confirm that you can now place the order again if you wish to receive the products. If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help. Kind regards," There is something else you can do Zavvi: You can read my email and answer my questions. I really wouldn't advise anyone to do business with Zavvi. In the case something goes wrong, as it did with me through no fault of my own, dealing with it would be far more hassle than its worth. It will also make you so mad at them that you write an incredibly long rant onto several review boards - something you have never contemplated doing before - as a form of therapy.

Paid for next day delivery with Yodel but order is not being delivered for 3 days. So I will be applying for a refund when I can get in contact with the non existent customer service team as there seems to be no phone number available to contact

They are the least user friendly online company I have ever used. Received damaged and ill fitting clothes. Paid to return them and have yet to be credited!! Steer well clear of using them. Far better companies deserve your custom.

This company is a scam! Do not use it. My 14 year old son spent his Christmas money on an Xbox Fifa game and paid extra for next day delivery. The parcel didn't come we received no explanation from zavvi or yodel the delivery company. In fact my son and I have now spent three weeks chasing it up with calls and emails and have received no explanation from either company. There is no customer service, they have stolen his money and simply do not care about him getting his goods. At least he's learnt an important lesson read customer reviews first!

The customer services department are the most unhelpful I have experienced. Description of the product I ordered did not match what I was sent I explained this and was told it did however the picture was of a green screen for stikbots I received a tripod. I asked for an exchange for the correct item was told I had the right item case closed. I would advise anyone to go to a reputable company not these charlatans.

Do not do business with Zavvi. They have the worst customer service, often orders arrive wrong or damaged and they don't want to know. They recently did an offer where if you subscribed to their "zbox" monthly service you could receive two past mystery boxes for free. What I received were two identical boxes with all the same items in them and some were damaged. Customer services refused to respond at all. I've had other problems in the past with this dodgy little company and I would strongly recommend everyone avoids them.

An absolute dreadful company to deal with their after sales service and their web site for after sales contacting them is a disgrace to and they should be pulled off the internet for what is scamming customers out of postage and not taking responsibility for returns which are faulty, i have not read the other reviews as i din not want to cloud mine but when there are great companies on the internet why would you risk buying from this hopeless organization that is full contradictions "were here to Help" they keep emailing back to me yes help themselves.

Terrible company! Ordered a movie series almost two months ago now. After the first 30 days, I was told they could resend. Another two weeks later and still nothing! Put this crappy place out of business

I was sent the wrong item, the return process has taken over a month, they refused to cover shipping costs, and then deleted my account from their website after I was forced to get paypal involved.
