“Increases are understandable to some degree, however a 67% increase (with no change of individual circumstances is neither sensible and is certainly not justified) so good bye. As someone who is very deaf, will be glad to leave a company that does not allow communication with by email - my daughter had to phone you to stop auto renewal (which I do not recollect ever signing up for) - ages on phone with such poor line - even when your staff rang back - she said loads of background noise sounding like an office party. A company to avoid in future as not possible to easily and sensibly communicate with - customer service 0 out of 10”
“I would not recommend this company as it is almost impossible to speak to someone. Everything has to be done online. My car broke down and I phoned the breakdown number only to be told that I had to report the breakdown online! I had to pay £42.00 upfront if the car has to be towed to a garage of my choice. The car didn't need to be towed but One Call did not automatically refund the money as I had to chase them up. They also put me on auto renewal when I didn't opt for this. I found insurance elsewhere as they also substantially increased the cost of my car insurance only to give me a lower quote when I phoned them to cancel the auto renewal. I won't be returning to them because they don't people to speak to you and their website makes it clear that they don't want people phoning.”
“A quick phone call would have resolved problem more efficiently. Be careful when taking out policy and do not allow them to retain bank details or you shall have a fight on your hands when you try to contact them to cancel. Very underhanded a sly company.( I did tell them not to retain bank details.. but they did anyhow)”
“I have only recently joined One Call for home insurance and was impressed by the price and the extras included on the policy. Today I received a courtesy call from assistant HA9, who was very polite and friendly, without being pushy. He clearly explained the policy and services to me, as well as offering other options, should I wish to include them on the policy.”
“SPOKE TO ABBY (AL4) with an enquiry regarding my motor policy which she sorted out no problem and she also went through my details and helped to reduce my monthly payments excellent service”
“It is amazing how everything works when taking your money, then everything is nearly impossible when claiming and cancelling. To claim I would be on hold for over an hour each time I needed to speak to somebody. Then my car was away for 5 weeks, the repairs we subpar, some damage was not fixed. Now I am trying to cancel, the live chat never works and they won't speak over the phone.”
“Shocking responses on their chatline, suggest you are either lying or stupid said I'd chosen the wrong option to be put through to - fact was I clicked the link the website directed me to. Broker fee £30 for renewal - what did they do for that? = nothing! Then £35+ for cancellation even though it took me 3 days to get through to someone on the chatline - I don't have hours and hours of free time waiting for them to answer even though they seem to thin I do - i would avoid at all costs”
“awful - one of the worse companies I've ever dealt with. Impossible to contact - 8 weeks later no reply to multiple emails and chats for a claim. Refuse to register or acknowledge complaints. Repeatedly called when they were unsure of the details to ensure one of their 'claim handlers' could 'manage' accountability for accident. ignored repeated calls to have car uplifted from unsafe location then from private property.”
“One Call Insurance might be a suitable name if you are buying a policy it certainly does not apply if you have a query or want to make changes as there are no contact details where you can speak to a human. Eventually got on their Chat Line after click on the Complaints tab suspect this side of the company is run my machines! Beware cheap insurance has to be paid for somewhere.”
“A Service called One Call that you cannot Call!
I broke down in my car on the M62 Motorway and could not get through on the One Call phones number. An automated voice asks that you log into an Online Portal. This is not acceptable when you are stuck on a hard shoulder in the pouring rain with lorries and cars thundering past at 70mph. I had to pay £150 for an alternative breakdown service.”
“Wanted to cancel my renew insurance. No phone number working. They don't answer on their online chat either. No way to contact them. In the end got through to 'complaints' and cancelled. I will never use them again.”
“Excessive costs to make amendments to your policy ie change of vehicle £47 when the policy was only £106 to start with. If I wanted to cancel the policy that was £56.00 fees for using the breakdown service . No phone lines to call all correspondence done via email or live chat. Proceed with caution”
“Worst insurance company Iv ever had. Every single week for 7 month I got a text message saying my policy will be cancelled today. I kept on messaging asking why. The response was stupid things.
Then i got a letter in post saying my insurance was cancelled nearly a month ago. So Iv been driving with know insurance for a month without knowing.”
“Cr3 handled my chat well and efficiently, assessing the problem and taking the relevant action to remedy it. It is a pity the company reacts to any kind of failed or half communication by cancelling your policy. If they had been easier to communicate with or checked facts with me this problem would not have arisen and it would have saved both parties about half an hour.”
