“Never trust a company that uses a mobile number for contact. Terms & conditions make sure that they are responsible for NOTHING but do do their best to make sure you pay only them. They had my reg. no. so knew exactly what part was required. When I finally contacted an "advisor" I was first told "all the prices quoted are ONLY STARTING PRICES" I pointed out that I had received a firm quote for £165, apparently this "finished" at £290 something as they didn't know what part I required, although they had my reg.no. and had asked for no further information. SCAM artists with a very nice, attractive, professional looking website. All the decent part finder sites send you quotes from their subscribers and YOU KNOW FROM THE OUTSET WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH!”

“I received quite a few quotes back very quickly but it isn't clear that the item being offered will match my exact requirement. The next step would be to phone the suppliers to discuss but in checking out the number on moneysavingexpert i see that i will be charge £6 per minute. Not for me!”

“I tried 5 search sites in parallel. 247 spares gave me the quickest response, the greatest number of replies, the longest guarantees and some of the lowest prices. If that had been, my opinion would have been much higher, obviously. But then I noticed that all the replies could only be contacted via similar 070 numbers. As these are chargeback numbers and even bill while on hold, I had no idea what the real cost of the spare part would turn out to be. I then dug deeper and read some very dire reviews of 247 on the web. In this case I had no need to risk an 070 call, and was able to buy from an honest trader who gave me an actual price upfront. I made a note not to contact 247 again except as a last resort.”

“I went for the internet to have a peace of mind ,So i don't have to call the dealers or calling me back ,and instead iv got more stress ,iv got all the dealers calling me instead E-mailing to my E-mail address ,and when i told them um not interested and as you advised not to take any offers by phone from the dealer ,they kept calling my mobile none stop causing me to switch my phone off in the end ,um regretting searching on the internet again after the bad experience i had with 247 spars ,regards”

“got the part tried phone,ing went through the usual jargon mitsi spares etc after 3 min on the phone and got nothing the phone went dead tried this twice then gave up...no point in source ing a part if you cant finalize it..... very poor”

“Absolute abhorrent customer service! Ordered a gearbox for my wife's car, 1 day delivery service advertised but due to being 'extremely busy' it wouldn't be delivered until Tues / Wed of the following week - suited us as the car was booked in for Thursday. Ten phone calls and three days after the due date still no gearbox ... despite having been told on numerous occasions we'd be called back, no-one ever did! Incidentally, 0703 numbers are 50p a minute for the uninitiated! The gearbox finally arrived yesterday, 10 days after ordering. If ... IF anyone does decide to use this service, check on the courier service being used ... P4D is not a courier, but a courier agency, make sure you have the actual courier' name and contact number, and if possible get a tracking number. I will NEVER use this service again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“I was happy with the service provided by 247 Spares until I received my mobile phone bill. It showed that 247 Spares uses an '070' contact number which charges premium rates. My enquiry lasted a few minutes and cost me £9.60! The website makes no mention of this (or if it does it is well hidden!) and this is not treating customers fairly. I am submitting a complaint to Ofcom!”

“Complete and utter waste of time. I asked for one car part had 3 text msg and none if the places had them in stock or were any where near where I live. Absolute rubbish. I won't use again”
