“I was a bit late for a rug I had been crazy about when it was on sale and the lovely salesperson understood and gave me the sale price nonetheless. Wow. It arrived way before the predicted date too. Wow. Twokindnesses in a row. I thank this company for its excellent customer connections - unusual these days.”
“Three months after I placed my order for a table, it finally arrived -- sort of. The table top and base were delivered but without any legs to connect them. I immediately called customer service and sent photos of the parts that did arrive. I was told that the legs would be delivered in a short time and to call back in a few days to confirm the delivery date. Two days later, I called back. Still no firm delivery date. A few days later, i called again with the same result. Almost two weeks after the initial contact with the company, they finally gave me a tracking number for the legs. At first, the tracking number didn't exist in the shipper's system. A week later, tracking said the package had been returned to the warehouse. Now it was less than a week before Christmas. I had a table top in the middle of the floor of my dining room and no way to serve the family that would be arriving in a few days. Plus 2Modern had had my money (well over $3000) for three and a half months. Until this time, I had been consitently kind and patient with 2Modern. I turned stern (though NOT rude) when the service rep continued to give me the run-around and to interrupt me whenever I tried to ask for the company to pick up the parts and to be given a refund. At least six times I asked him to just listen. He continued to interrupt me and threatened to hang up because I was raising my voice. Raising my voice was the only way to be heard over his interruptions. He insisted that I needed to pack up the table top and base in order to get a refund even though the item weighed too much for me to lift and I no longer had the box they came in. Suddenly after at least thirty minutes of this frustrating conversation, he said, "I'm giving you a refund and I'll arrange to have the table picked up." I have no idea what finally changed his mind. He could have just as easily continued to interrupt me or hung up. While I'm glad my money was refunded, I have no desire to deal with this mercurial, inept, and seeminly deceitful company again.”
“I purchased a Christmas gift in mid-November with the ship date for the item being listed as December 6 (it was weeks later, but there was still plenty of time for the gift to arrive). Then the ship date shifted to December 20 (likely not getting it by Chrstimas), then to January 3 (forget about it being a Christmas gift). As an insult to the injury, I received an email from the company's founder praising the company and being proud that *all* purchases above $50 ship for free. My purchase was above $50, but I still had to pay shipping. Clearly that statement was not true. At that time I wished I could cancel the order and get the item from another store (which would arrive in time and be cheaper).
Lukily, the item did ship before Christmas and I was able to gift it as planned.”

“I had hoped for color glasses and that is what I ordered. One box had a few colors in it the other box was all grey and black. If we hadn't needed to use them I woudl have sent them back for replacements. They also quoted me a weeks shipping time. It was almost 3. I would still like to have more colored glasses and when I get the time perhaps I will try again.”
