“DO NOT buy from this company unless you want to wait a few weeks for your order to be processed. False advertisement of goods that they clearly do not have in stock and when you call them to chase them up (as they don't have the courtesy to do this themselves!) you are told that your goods are in a "back order!" “In my opinion Damart must be the worst company I have ever dealt with. I received my order plus the freebie, a so-called padded ladies jacket and both articles were absolutely disgusting especially the freebie which I would not be seen in and would not even donate to charity as no padded back and no warmth at all. I wrote emails to customer services as wanted to give them a chance to rectify this but they did not have the decency to reply. And to think I have to pay to return this rubbish is just an added insult. That is it for me and I will spreed the word to all my friends.”
“This is in regards to a free ladies parka offer. Do not be taken in by these seemingly
great offers. I have just returned one it as absolute rubbish. Damart is doing itself
more harm than good by offering such absolutely awful freebies. The parka was
supposed to be quilted but the material just looked like regular shiny coat lining and
the back wasnt quilted anyway. Wouldn't be seen anywhere wearing this rag.”
“My account has been disabled. I have spoken to numerous staff there and no one can resolve the IT issue which has caused this. They don't seem altogether bothered either. The cost of a complaints call is high and so to take the matter further will cost a few pounds and frankly is their business is tanking, which it seems to be, why should I invest in their mistakes.
They employ people who just disconnect calls they cannot deal with and really have no concern at all for customers. None of them went to charm school that's for sure.”
“Crops far too small supposed to be size 18. I measured them they were a size 12/14 not good then had to pay for returning them . I didn’t know I had to pay . Will never use damart again .still waiting for my refund 11days later”
“I ordered 2 packets of briefs, a size larger than my normal size, as I find Damart always come up small. The elastic on the briefs was so tight they dug in extremely uncomfortably, causing unsightly bulges above and below. The one pair I tried and washed shrunk, making them only fit for someone several sizes smaller. I wish I'd saved my money.”
“I ordered 1 bra and 2 pairs of briefs to take with me on holiday this month. (The order was placed and received in July 2022) So far, so good!
Unfortunately, one pair of the briefs was faulty (along the seam) They were collected by Damart's courier on Monday 1 August. I did suggest that in the meantime, they might like to send me a pair of replacement briefs – but Customer Services said that until they had receipt of the faulty item, this could not be arranged. I phoned Customer Services today (a week later) – as I really needed the replacement underwear. I was informed that I would not receive acknowledgement that they had received my return, nor a replacement item for at least 15 days…And that’s just too late for me to take the briefs with on holiday.
Such poor Customer Service. Beware!”
“Ordering & delivery went smoothly - no issues with those and initially I was pleased with the 2 pairs of crinkle trousers I had ordered. Until they were washed ( following recommended washing instructions) when the trousers shrank widthways & were no longer decently wearable. Very disappointing !!”
“Many times I see adverts from Damart and there is something I would like to order. So I go online only to find that is out of stock in my size/colour choice/ length.
Why is the stock so low?

“Ordered 2 pairs white briefs and they delivered 2 pairs rose pink briefs. Logged into my account which showed that I ordered white. Phoned damart who said that according to their records I ordered pink. Said I could return them and place another order. Pathetic would not use again.”

“I returned a jumper for an exchange to a size smaller. It never arrived and I never received a refund. I phoned Damart (which was an expensive process in itself) who claimed Hermes must have lost it. I made a formal complaint to Damart and have never heard back. If I had the time, I would take them to a small claims court. Don’t use them. Disgraceful customer service”
“I have been a satisfied customer with Damart for years, no problem with ordering, and money goes out of my account straight away, BUT, the returns system is rubbish, it takes 2 weeks to get the money back. Perhaps your finance dept should look into this . and get some tips from Amazon who are spot on with there returns policy., and
their refunds are returned within a day, and not having to spend on a very expensive call to you to check whether you have received the goods. which incidentally were returned to you on 3/3 /22 and no confirmation as yet .Perhaps you could look into a free order line as not everyone can order on line;I am lucky as an 89yr old , to have someone to help me, but when ordering I like to speak to a human. “Was asked to order a jumper that was advertised in todays daily Mail at £11.99, found item on website for £27.99 and added to basket then entered supplied code which game me free postage not the discount I expected, read the small print and discovered that price was only valid until 01/01/22 it is in todays paper the 15/01/22 and it also stated that prices may have increased, so then they make it look like you can send the coupon included on the page and get the discount, no option to send a cheque or any other type of payment though, why? so they can open a credit account in your name and charge you full price anyway, this company is nothing but a bunch of con artists and the sooner its closed down the better.”
“I bought trousers with front pockets as required and as described and shown in picture online - but when they arrived the front pocket didnt exist - it was a false pocket line only.
When I tried to get through to them to arrange a return I couldnt get through as it is a premium rate number and my phone has a zero cap on it. So I rang a number I found on the website which wasnt premium rate and the person was loath to take my call- her answer was that I should re negotiate my phone contract so I could ring their premium rate number!!!! I held my ground and eventually she agreed to arrange the collection. I buy a lot online and have never had this problem before - I think Damart needs to pull itself into the 21st Century - people dont use these numbers anymore for customer services because they are a rip off as I had waited some time for the call to be answered and its immoral to be charging the customer for the company not having enough staff to answer their calls.
I havent bought from Damart since but then saw an advert for some fleece trousers ideal for working from home - and not too bothered if they are a bit big or long so unlikely to need to go through the fiasco of returning them. BUT when I clicked on my size and the length which it said was available, it suddenly became unavailable and this happened a number of times trying different colours and leg lengths.
What a waste of time.”
